I used this company on the recommendation from other company.
The girl ""Ruby"" was very rude when I made an appointment.
The company charged me $6000 for changing leaking pipe from heater and supposedly sanitizing! The work took about 5 hrs.
Not only my CC was charged for extra $4300 I am still trying to get my money back.BE WARNED DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY.

I have used this company for years, but was not aware they recently sold out to Ritz plumbing, a big company with poor ratings on Yelp (read the horror stories and shudder) and an ""F"" from the Better Business Bureau. I called for a toilet backed up. They came out that day (although an hour later than I was told to expect) and the technician was very pleasant and seemed very efficient. They used the video camera, and told me my main sewer line was broken due to roots.
They replaced that part of the line, looked at the rest, and said I had two more bad areas and recommended replacement out to the city sewer. He gave me the option of simply clearing out the roots, but said it would only give me a few years before I needed replacement of those areas. I told him to go ahead and replace. Next he said the saddle connection to the city sewer was old, and ""a weak point."" I agreed to let him replace that as well.
Timing was an issue. Initially he said work would be completed that day, but by the end of the day had extended it to next day (Friday), and finally that they would return on Saturday or Sunday to ""finish up."" Although I could now use my facilities, they left the cap off the cleanout, so water from the kitchen sink went into and pooled in an outdoor area. Over my confusion as to which cleanout was correct, they had disconnected my gray water cleanout, which they didn't reconnect, so shower water poured out right next to the house.
In any case they didn't come over the weekend, despite me calling, and a supervisor promising someone would be there on Sunday. I called again Monday and a tech came out. This tech also seemed efficient. He found that the line ""missed a spot,"" and they had to dig again to fix that area and redo the last bit of piping near the street. I was once again promised it would be done that day, but after 8 hours (with several hours after during which I could not allow anything down the drain) it once again got too dark to work and finishing was put off to the next day. He promised to be there early to finish before I would need full service in the afternoon -- needless to say he did not show up. More phone calls, and an agreement to come the next day.
They did come the next day and finish, and when I got home from work, I saw they had placed a clean out in the middle of the lawn. This had not been discussed with me, and while a clean out is good to have, in the middle of the lawn is not a good place. Another phone call and another scheduled visit to move the clean out.
I certainly understand if it takes more than one day to replace the line, but I don't understand why I was then constantly promised, ""it will be done today"" several days in a row.
After reading some of the horror stories about RItz, I now wonder if any of what they told me I needed was true; and if some of what they told me was true, how much.

This was the worst experience, way way over charged, althoug Iam partly to blame they are not Benedict and Benedict but rather Ritz plumbing,on the phone they identify themselves as B and B....no truck or stationary with that logo..they have numerous citations from the California consumers board of contractors
Again my own fault for not researching properly, these people do business in a very shady manner,my opinion stay away from this business

Benedict & Benedict has been my plumbing service since the 1970's - fair prices, reliable and courteous plumbers. Apparently they no longer have their own staff and are acting as a referral service. Two courteous young men showed up from Ritz Plumbing, which, one explained, was an ""associate"" of Benedict & Benedict. He offered to supply and install a garbage disposal for $975. I expressed disbelief. He said had seen his boss go as low as $675 but couldn't go lower due to overhead costs. I said I would get another estimate. After he wrote up his estimate, he said he would have to charege for a written copy, but could e-mail me one for free. (There were at least 2 carbons under the form. As of 1 week later, no e-mail.) A Sears disposal cost $100 + $150 for installation. They sent a plumber from A-1. With an electrical cord, the total was $275 plus tax. Sears gave me the installation charge when I bought the disposal. I will not use Benedict or Ritz again.

They've changed ownership within the last year and didn't disclose this to old-time customers. Same day service and the work is still good. They arrived on time and were very nice. John and Luis did a great job. Just be advised!

I called Pink Plumbing to come out and fix my shower leak. When I answered the door it was a man from Benedict & Benedict. I said ""I didn't call you"" and he said that Pink sold to them about a year ago. So he was here to fix my shower leak for about 1 hour and could not get the handle off the shower. His ""Field Manager"" showed up and was unhelpful and seemed annoyed the job was taking so long. He was actually there to get the other guy so they could move onto another job. The other guy came back and said it would cost me 356.00 to replace the kit or 1100.00 to open the wall and replace everything. I know nothing about plumbing, but went with the obvious choice of 356. I had to leave for work so they were going to order the part and come back tomorrow. Right when the guy got to his car I ran out there and said ""please just cancel everything"" Do not order any parts and I will have my husband look at this first. If we decide to do the work I will call you. I said I wanted the paper back that I signed and he said ""oh that's nothing, it's not the final'. I made sure to tell him that I will not be paying them anything and that Im cancelling the service. He was fine. I then called the ""Pink Plumbing"" number that I had originally called and I told the girl who answered the phone the exact same thing. I told her that the service was horrible and to cancel all service. She said okay. I asked if she needed my address and she said ""no we have it"". Although the original guy who showed up was nice, he didn't seem to know at all what he was doing and the ""field manager"" seemed to just want to get to his next job. I should have been told that the company I actually called was NOT the company that was coming out to do the job. Horrible business practices and horrible service. I will call a real plumber now to get the job done!

This is not the family owned B&B of old. I got a tankless water heater installed by the REAL B&B 10 years ago, they were awesome. In 2015 I called them to unclog a kitchen sink. They pushed a $550 hydrojet which I begrudgingly accepted, and continued to upsell to a $8000 main line reline. I can't believe the audacity and conniving systematic way in which they have destroyed a good family name and become a complete snake-oil sales company. Looking at other reviews with similar experience, I'm only surprised that a class-action has not taken out this new business, aka Ritz Plumbing. Move along, there's nothing good here to see!

Description Of Work:
He was suppose to replace the Moen shower cartridge.
He ended up doing nothing and charging me $100.
Member Comments:
- He kept telling me that I need to replace the entire shower valve instead of just the cartridge. He wanted to know how to get to the pipes.
- I said only wanted to replace the cartridge. .
- I said that I had it replaced twice before and it should be easy.
- He then quoted $275 and I said ok.
- He could not get the handle off the shower valve and said the the previous plumber put it on too tight and he cannot get it off.
- When he went to his truck, I successfully removed the handle.
- Then he returned and removed the face plate.
- Now he tells me that the cartridge is no longer available and asks me what do I want to do.
- I said I was going to call the prior plumber to replace the cartridge.
- He then said that he was going charge me $135 for a service call. Later lowered it to $100.
- I had another plumber replace the cartridge. I took them 15 minutes and they charged me $123.

Be aware! They took advantage of my elderly mother & took her to the cleaners for $8,000.00. When we found out, they already did the work. We could have had someone else do it at less than half the price. I'm so angry. She's having to take out a loan and put it on credit card. Get another opinion before you let them anywhere near your house.

This business is NOT licensed, and it is NOT the ""longtime Pasadena"" company it advertises itself to be. Check the license number on their website (#955742). I discovered, through the complaint process to the CSLB, that this company is really ""Jet Speed Plumbing dba Ritz Plumbing"" in Lomita, CA. Jet Speed is not a registered business on Yelp! Note that Ritz Plumbing has terrible reviews too, reflecting the same M.O. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ritz-plumbing-los-angeles)
Whoever these people really are, never responded to my complaint through the BBB, resulting in a downgrade, and only the CSLB was able to resolve the issue as it put their license at risk.
Do yourself a favor, ignore the fake review from ""Stepha G,"" heed the real reviews, and move on down the line to another company.
