Just an update. To their credit, I spoke with the co-owner, who called after I'd left a Facebook review. We had someone else working on it already. He was slightly interested in the problem and had a falling out with our home builder. I was going to improve their rating here, but the new plumber found the equipment was installed badly, some of it was done very shabbily, and after replacing the unit (which praise God was still warranted) and fixing some of Benchmark's work, we are out a thousand dollars at Benchmark's negligence. So, they're staying at a 1-star rating. Save your money; call someone else.

Benchmark Plumbing is very knowledgeable in construction plumbing. They build for the finest custom builders in San Antonio. Excellent attention and responsiveness payed to every detail during the building process. Also timely in doing their warranty and service calls. They are a very easy company to work with.

Worst plumbing company ever. They plumbed my new construction house and screwed up so many things it's unreal. They plumbed the hot water heaters completely wrong and only fixed it after a friend of mine who is a master plumber provided a diagram how the 2 water heaters should be plumbed together (They fully acknowledged it was completely wrong and re-plumbed)....2 toilets were leaking, they installed a faulty pressure regulator which was verified defective by 2 different home inspectors and refused to replace it claiming it worked fine even after I provided proof in photos that pressure was over 100PSI, buried my main water cut off valve to where it was completely inaccessible and subsequently useless, and they used black iron pipe off the water main to tie in plumbing to my house which I discovered after water pressure issues requiring the boxes to be dug up. Those iron pipes are to be used on gas lines, not water, and was completely rusted out which explains red rust stains on my bathroom fixtures. Another plumber who replaced the pressure regulator at my expense was shocked at the iron material they used for water lines. They also placed an improperly sized handle to my water heater inlet valve, which prevented it from being fully open that can lead to electrical issues. So basically completely unqualified techs doing the work, lacking basic plumbing skills and doing half-@ss work costing me big $$ to have it done right. Stay far far away!
