My experience with the services they have wasn't great. The guy told me a quote on price then did the service then he changed the price and made up a thing why he charged more. I don't recommend this to anyone only if they hand write a price quote. I wasn't very happy he hurt my credit. I wasn't counting on it being that much... they double the price.

First of all, please disregard the 2 negative reviews on Yelp for Bell's Plumbing. They are far from the truth and if we could give 6 stars we would. Bell's has been nothing short of exceptional as we bought our home in Atascadero and have had them here a half dozen times so far doing everything (plumbing wise) as we remodeled all 3 bathrooms/showers. I was about to call them this morning to come out and add a new whole house hot water heating system and water softener system when I remembered that I hadn't written this yet.
They are fair on their pricing, are here on time every time, do EXCELLENT work and their team is trustworthy (we left them alone in our home numerous times). You will not be sorry you selected them!

I've worked with Bell over the past 7 years, water heater installation, faucets, leaking shower faucets. All worked was performed quickly and in a thoughtful manor! Highly recommend!

I am very pleased. I called a day ago to set up appointment to fix what I thought was a faulty valve under the sink, and to fix gas pipe behind gas oven that couldn't slide in because pipe was too long to fit into the back of the range. Was given 8am to 9am window. Casey arrived promptly, and completed the work. He had to go under the crawl space to access gas pipe. The gas had to be shut off and sadly I was no help as I had just moved in and had no clue where the water heater was. Before leaving, I asked if there was anything I needed to do and he said, don't worry I'll relight the water heater and lock everything up. Great customer service. Thanks Casey and Bell Plumbing.

Bought an Atascadero house in need of maintenance. Too many things to DYI in the time frame available. Plumbing items included bad pressure regulator, leaky hose bibs, sewer pipe, shower & tub valves, water heater, ... Kyle and Jess provided a detailed estimate and answered additional questions in a timely manner. Even how-to repairs that I was able to address. Kyle's work, site cleanup, and professionalism was excellent! Highly recommend his work.

The plumber spent 20-30 min at our property, he twisted one bolt at the yard spigot, replaced a shower arm (not the faucets) and we get a bill for $244.00 wtf? None of the requested work was completed! Sham on this company!!!

They came out to unclog a tub and repair the leaky faucet. They cleared the clog were gone in 10 minutes to 'go to the supply house to find a part for the faucet'. They billed me $125 the same week without any follow up and left me with a leaky faucet. When I called to complain, they told me they didn't know what part to order, even though the plumber took a picture and told me what kind it was. I found it online and repaired it myself. I do not recommend this company.

Beware! Read past reviews about their billing practices!! I called because I had a leak near my washing machine. They sent someone to my house, told me I had a leak, then billed me $150.00 and a quote to repair the leak. Lisa Bell, the owner, was so nasty with me (see her quotes below) because I said I was never told I would be charged $150 for an estimate. She then said I should have told them I wanted a FREE ESTIMATE and she would have sent the owner and they WOULD HAVE ONLY CHARGED $75. I agreed to pay the $75 and she sent me an even nastier email. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH THEIR BILLING PRACTICES! Very similar to Elle's experience. I paid the $75 estimate fee and considered my bill paid. If they continue to bill me, the next call will be to the BBB!
Lisa's emails
""Ok-- so now I'm hearing you don't want to pay again? Let me explain again. We were called out for a leak or back up on the exterior-- you really didn't know what the problem was, right? We could easily charge our leak detection fee-- which is $275. We found the leak, didn't we? But no, we sleep at night and keep our reputation by billing fairly -- and only charged the one hour crawl under the house charge. You know what? You have given me grief too many times now -- I think I'm done explaining this to you. PLEASE DO NOT CALL US AGAIN!! There are many other plumbers in town that would be happy to work with you. Please just pay your bill and call one of them next time!""
""It costs money to send a plumber to your house. We have to pay them for an hour of time. Do you know of anyone else who would take their time and gas, and then crawl under a house for free? If you were looking for a free estimate-- then you should have indicated that. Then we would have sent the owner for just the estimate fee of $75. Our trucks are like hardware stores on wheels-- and they cost alot of money to run.
That's why we usually just fix the leak the first time. I'm actually a little confused as to why we didn't at least make a repair. Did you tell the plumber you wanted a price first, and not to do anything? I will talk with him as well to see why it wasn't just handled the first time -- as that's normally how we do things. On the second note -- the estimate we gave you included both trips.""

Short Story: The job that they did was fine, but their billing practices are questionable. They agree to one price, then bill for more. Stay away...unless you like being repeatedly threatened with being sent to collections for bills they take forever to send!
Long Story: I called several places before having Bell's come to my home. I described the work to be done over the phone, and Bell's was the most reasonable, so I had them come out. They told me up front that they needed to see the job before they would know how much it would cost, so when the serviceman arrived, I had him price the job before starting the work. The price was $250 (parts AND labor)...the same price they quoted over the phone. I had him go ahead with the job. It took an hour and a half. When he was done, I was ready to write the check, but he said they don't take checks at the job site, it had to get processed through the office (I never had that happen before). That's when the problems started.
I did not get an invoice until July (four months later). At that point, I had honestly forgotten about the bill. It was for $332.00 ($82 more than stated). On the invoice, they stated that the bill was seriously past due and they would send me to collections. I never received an invoice before this time and already they were threatening with collections!
I complained to the receptionist/office girl. The owner called back and left a message on my voicemail discounting the bill by $25. The owner also said they would send out a new invoice with the new amount owed reflected; however, I didn't get another invoice until February 2016. At that point, they were again threatening to send me to collections.
After almost a year, and receiving only two invoices at this point, both threatening to send me to collections, I called and wanted to know why I was being charged more money than originally stated. Turns out, they had ""mistakenly"" billed me for two hours work BUT the serviceman was only out for an hour and half AND they charged me some sort of ""underground fee"" BUT the serviceman only had to open a door to get to the job. After they fixed their mistakes, the bill was for $282.00...still more, but much closer to $250. I paid the $282.00, but it's frustrating to have no options, really, when they constantly threaten with collections. They know what they can get away with, for sure.
To sum up...the serviceman was great, but their billing practices are shady. I'm sure they will respond with something along the lines of ""we adjusted the price for her,"" or ""it took her a year to pay,"" however; I was more than willing to pay when the work was performed, and any price adjustments were really just corrections of their own mistakes.
To be fair, the work was great, just be sure to get everything IN WRITING before they start they job.

Had a great experience with these guys. Kitchen sink wouldn't drain and after trying to snake it ourselves we had to call. They came out on the same day as I called, we're professional and polite and got everything fixed up quickly. I will surely call them again if we ever need plumbing help.
