I can't comment on the actual work as I went with another quote. I will say that the gentelman that came and looked at the work for the quote was friendly, the notification and scheduling system was appreciated, and he correctly identified the issues at hand. The reason for the 3 stars was that the quote was literally 2.5x (or more) than three other quotes I got for the exact same work. The final work was still under $1000 (quote was for almost 3k).

So I liked the customer service and the up front evaluation, but I just couldn't choke down the price vs cost. I personally knew the parts were under $500 (w/markup from plumbers its typically $700-800) so the rest was all labor. The actual job was completed in 1 hour by a different company.

The only reason I didn't do the job myself was because of all things plumbing, sewage is the one thing I refuse to do :-)

We hired Bellows through an offer from Costco to install Lennox HVAC mini-split individual room A/C and heaters. The estimator came out and gave his recommendations on what would meet our needs. The project manager came out to survey our property and explain what work would be required and how it would be performed. We were then given a start date and time and an estimated finish date. The team was there promptly on time the 1st day and every other day. They finished on the estimated completion date. Everything went as planned and was exactly how it had been explained to us. The installers were professional, courteous and friendly. They left their workspace clean each day. They always wore shoe coverings while inside, and observed Covid-19 prevention protocols.

The technician did a great job installing both a garbage disposal and a new set of faucets on our old kitchen sink. Very professional!

Be aware, though, that Bellows does an extensive review of your home before quoting the job for you to approve. I sensed a fair amount of ""upselling"" coming out of that review. Examples:

- It was recommended I replace the galvanized outflow line under the sink because ""the garbage disposal will cause debris buildup at the connection between the galvanized line and the ABS [black plastic] fittings"". I find that hard to believe and haven't seen it happen in several older homes I've owned.

- My house was re-piped with copper years ago but the main feed line was left as galvanized. It was recommended I replace the remaining galvanized portion because electrolytic action can cause piping to corrode at the galvanized/copper junction...which is actually true -- I once had a house where the plumber who re-piped it failed to install the right kind of preventative (electrolytic) junction and a leak resulted, albeit years after the work was done -- but only if that electrolytic junction isn't installed. Which it was in my current house. I was then told such junctions can sometimes fail, which is probably true -- anything can fail -- but that's life. And it certainly hasn't failed in many years :).

With that caveat -- be prepared to push back against upselling (but make sure you know the risks you're taking by doing so) -- I recommend Bellows.
