Kate K.Awesome faucet selections; A+ customer assistance; prices definitely NOT big box.
One saunter around Bell P&H at I-225 and Iliff and you'll want to redo every bathroom in your house. Ok, they had me at Kohler but the quality of plumbing hardware is something to drool over, not necessarily buy.
The faucets I liked started at $450 and ended at $950 - one faucet. Of course, they were the one touch on, one touch off kind - are we getting spoiled or what?
The customer service was intelligent and focused. Yah, you get what you pay for, I know.
On Christmas Eve the bearings in our furnace fan motor started making noise and over heating. It was turned off during Christmas day. On the26th, Bell came out to inspect the item and confirmed my diagnosis. After bulls**ting about being a high efficiency part (Motor bearing/fan) he provided a written quote of $848.92 , installed and $187.58 to go get the part from his shop. for a total of $1036. I removed the fan/motor myself, oiled the bearing and re-installed in 45 minutes without removing my tie. Total parts cost: $2.37. Really? I would have paid his hourly rate to oil the bearings, but no they want to stick the client with a big bill and earn their profit.
I used to be a fan of Bell - that's when they seemed to be fair and honorable. We used this company for 15+ years so when we had a repair necessary, we called them. We were OVERCHARGED and UNDERSERVICED. We called to complain but no one cared. I will NEVER recommend Bell again
Jay M.Company has a good selection and expertise but falls short in the communication department. I wouldn't purchase here again.
K H.I called Bell Plumbing to come to our house to fix a leaking kitchen faucet, replace two flappers in two toilets and to tighten the faucet connections on two bathroom faucets. Their esitmate for such services were $312 to fix the kitchen faucet (a new faucet is $150 to $200), $415 to replace to toilet flappers ($5 part and took me 5 minutes to do myself), and $170 to tighten two lose faucets. This was on top of $49 trip charge. Had I known how ridiculous their pricing was, I would never have called them. I can't imagine anyone using Bell's services given their pricing structure. The cost estimates were beyond ridiculous!

My 83 year old Mother as a repeat customer called Bell in Denver to fix a leaking running toilet and look at an outside leaking faucet.
to make a long story short two trucks and two repairmen descended (one in training)
They wrote a bid for $300.00+ to put a new kit inside the tank. another 300.00 to put a new turnoff and hose just outside the tank. and 325 to repair leaking outside faucet. I thought MOM had lost it when she called me but I have the written bid. I put in a stool kit for $23.00 and put two new washers in the outside faucet for less than $4.00 with the advice of Ace Hardware in Littleton. Honest to God ! It took me awhile since I had done neither before and I am a61 year old woman. But I did it. And they charged her $49.00 for the trip and she wrote them a check with both of them looming over her.they will not return it. I have asked. Shame on them ,

Sherin S.My mom took apart her sink and couldn't figure out how to put it back together. After being unsuccessful at Ace we drove out to Aurora to come to these guys and it was worth the drive! They were super friendly and helpful. Within minutes they assembled the faucet part. Thank you!
On March 23, 2012 Bell Heating & Plumbing arrived at our house for a service call on our water heater that had water flowing from two places on the bottom. The service technician, looked at the water heater and stated that the supply piping had been installed improperly. He stated that water was leaking at the connections and water had saturated the insulation and was now draining through the interior to bottom of the heater. The heater was 10 years old (and had a 12 year warranty). The installation had been permitted and inspected by the City of Aurora Building department and had passed inspection. We asked if the water heater should be replaced. The technician assured us that if they replaced the pipes and connections the water heater would probably last another five years.
We asked again if it wouldn't be cost effective to just replace the heater because of its age and there was a concern of mold having formed in the saturated insulation. Again, we were assured that it would last another five years if we changed out the copper pipes and connections. We agreed to have the work done. The technician then offered to sign us up for Bell's Value Plan and with the work being done that day, we would already recoup the money paid for the program. We signed up for the program. A water heater repair total of $419.00. This was on top of the $681.39 for toilet maintenance\rebuild, quite the day for Bell.
Four weeks later the water heater was leaking again. We called Bell and requested that the water heater be inspected for the same problem. That technician told us we needed to have the water heater replaced.
We were willing to replace the heater, but did not feel we should have to pay for the installation because the original technician mislead us regarding the replacement of the water heater and the fact that if a new heater was installed all the copper fixtures used in the ""fix"" of the old heater would have to be discarded and additional ""new"" connections installed. The technician encouraged us to call Greg Palmer for resolution.
The Mr. Palmer told us we should seek replacement through the warranty. I explained that we would have to take the heater to Home Depot and then the replacement would be prorated. Not worth the effort for only 2 years left on the warranty. Additionally, we would be without a water heater during the resolution time.
Mr. Palmer had looked up our service records before my call. He noted when he spoke with me that we had been steady customers for the past ten years. However, he stated that he did not believe that the technician did anything wrong - even though he misled us and even discouraged us from just replacing the water heater during the service call. Apparently the previous ten years as customers did not benefit us.
We had Excel install a new water heater because we had lost faith in Bell. Per code the new company had to install all new pipes for the water heater. All the ""work"" that Bell did was essentially thrown away.
""Buyer beware"" is definitely the case.
Do not call this company out they are the most exspensive company you can hire!! They would not give me a quote over the phone and when they came to my house they tried to charge me 459.97 to replace my garbage disposal and I am suppling the disposal! Just for the man to walk in my house and show me a book of quotes it costed me 49.00 he did not even look under my sink. What a scam they have going!!!
BEWARE DO NOT HIRE THESE THESE GUYS!!! CALL AROUND THERE ARE RESPECTABLE PLUMBERS THAT WILL GIVE YOU A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE!
Frankie V.I solicited estimates from 4 air conditioning companies. I needed a new A/C installed and 2 Humidifiers. The estimates arrived at 4100, 4500, 4800, and 11,400. Bell did not have the estimate done on time. It was 2 days late. They are also the Company that was more than twice as expensive as everyone else. I did compare Apples to Apples.
