Founded in 1991 in Elk Grove, CA, Bell Brothers Plumbing Heating and Air was created by brothers Kenny and Jerry Bell. After more than 25 years in the industry, Bell Brothers has diversified its offerings to encompass heating, air services, plumbing, ductwork, and insulation. With over $5 million in Home Energy Upgrade rebates secured for clients, Bell Brothers has positioned itself as a frontrunner in California's Home Energy Upgrade Program for utility providers SMUD and PG&E. At present, 140 trucks are on the road, with 200 employees dedicated to serving the Hayward and East Bay regions. The journey of Bell Brothers started in 1982 when Jerry and Kenny Bell took HVAC classes in Phoenix. They acquired the basics of the HVAC trade during their education. Graduating at the top of their class, the Bells began working in the field to refine their skills.
A few years later, Kenny and Jerry seized the chance to start a pizza business. They jumped at this chance, acquiring essential business skills, and started Bell Brothers in 1991.
For several years, Kenny and Jerry ran Bell Brothers from their pizza restaurant until 1995, when they opened a proper HVAC business. Since then, Bell Brothers has added new services and expanded into the Bay Area and Central Valley.
Close to 30 years ago, two brothers crafted a vision that led to the creation of Bell Brothers. The brothers envisioned a customer family that would experience unmatched service and a satisfaction guarantee with every interaction.

I'll start by saying that this Company is EXCELLENT!. You will not find better service anywhere! If I could give them a 10, I would.
Unfortunately, I needed the full MONTY for my house. Heating, Air Conditioning and New Ductwork. They did it all . Friendly, timely and efficiently. They were the ""NO SURPRISE Guys"". Paul was an excellent Salesman. Providing; total system requirements, pricing and recommendations for our failing system needs. A++

Called and asked about water softener brine cleanings. Which is a pretty common thing in plumbing and the operator didn't even know what that is and tried to ask if she wanted my filters cleaned. Like ????. Don't recommend them because they will try upselling you on a whole water softener replacement. Overall a 2/10 for customer service and 1/10 for solutions and etc...

got my furnace installed in 2022 and I religously replace the filter every 3 months. The installation is clean and well done which is why there's 2 stars in this review. Last week my furnace would not activate and I requested a service visit. I was told that the warranty is only for parts and not labor. Also a $99 fee will be billed for them coming out for diagnosis which I agreed.
Tech came and had me sign the $99 agreement prior to diagnosing which I did. He then diagnosed and while on the process of his diagnosis, he fixed the issue by cleaning the fire sensor. He then tells me that this visit will be $99 diagnosis plus $160/165 for level 1 repair. I was surprised! I did not even approve the repair (if there's any) he was just diagnosing and fixed it on the process. He then offers to lower the price by purchasinga 1 year maintenance package which is better as the total dropped to 160.
Main issue here is that I was not informed about the price change, repair cost and this did not meet their guarrantee ""no surprise"". It is even written at the back of the technician's shirt ""The no surprise guys"" well guess what I was surprised. Management then calls me as a follow up for my concern and at the end of the day, they left me no choice to choose the smartesr option which is to just get the 1 year maintenance package because eventhough I can perform the maintenance myself, they said that Lennox will look for maintenance documentation incase of future warranty claims. This is how they get you tied up in paying yearly for unnecessary labor. No more Lennox or Bell brothers for me in the future product needs.

I recently had servicing on my furnace and had fantastic experience. Sal was great. Excellent customer service and explained everything so I knew exactly what was happening. Bell Brothers is a five star service CO.

Do not call Bell for service - they are scam artists. My system was installed by ABC heating and air which was taken over by Bell. I called to have my furnace checked out since I have a service contract with Bell. They sent two service men, one to check the ducts under the house. I told him that the duct to the kitchen was detached, and he told me he would take care of that. After some time, he told me that there were holes in all the ducts and they needed to be replaced, and showed me some pictures, presumably of my damaged ducts, and quoted me a price for the duct replacement, The other service man claimed that the furnace had some issues and perhaps I should replace it. I was quoted a price of over $22,000 for both replacements. I had a contractor check the ducts and found no holes and found the duct to the kitchen still detached. I signed a contract for both replacements, but cancelled the one for new furnace and then was given a price for the new ducts of over $7000. Since my system is working fine, I will probably not use this company for service in the future, since I believe the two men were sent with the sole purpose of scamming an me, an 88 year old man.

Steffan was great! Very professional and patient. He took his time explaining the service (heating maintenance) as well as the Bell Bros membership, which I chose to sign up for. I would recommend them and if possible request Steffan the next time my heating system is serviced.

YELP REFUSES TO REMOVE MY REVIEW, even though I have tried several times to remove it. Beware this business, as an electrician friend showed me I was actually swindled by this repair. ABC (now Bell Brothers?) actually removed a fuse from the electrical connection to my furnace so it wouldn't work. Then they charged me $95 to build a ""work around.""
According to my electrician friend what they did could have caused a fire and he literally pointed to the fuse they had pulled out and laid on top of the box. If you're going to swindle your customers, maybe hide your tracks a little better, ABC Heating?

Very happy with Bell Brothers service. The tech was Steffan who has done our AC and furnace maintenance many times. He does an excellent job and is very good at communicating what needs to be done.
We have a maintenance contract and are happy with it.
