In 1982, the Bell brothers attended HVAC school in Phoenix, Arizona, learning the essentials of heating and air. Upon graduating at the top of their class, they began working in the trades to learn the business. In 1985, they ventured into the pizza industry, opening a pizzeria in their hometown while simultaneously working for local HVAC contractors. By 1991, they established Bell Bros., starting with a single old pizza delivery truck converted into a service vehicle and placing an ad in the phone book. They cooked pizzas and anticipated service calls, promptly changing shirts to serve customers when the phone rang. By 1995, the HVAC segment relocated from the pizza parlor to its own building, bringing on their first employees. They aimed to be the premier heating and cooling service provider in the region. Bell Bros. has now grown to be the largest heating and air conditioning company in the Sacramento area.
Bell Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning began with two brothers over 28 years ago who had a vision: To build a family of customers who would receive unrivaled service and 100% satisfaction, every time, guaranteed.
Our dream has always been to provide our family of customers with the best possible heating and air service, now including plumbing, sewer, window replacement, and ductwork and insulation services. Problem was a slow draining kitchen sink. Didn't think the solution was too complicated. Found a Bell Brother's drain cleaning special which was significantly less in cost than quotes I received from other companies. Contacted Bell Brothers and the process to schedule an appointment was quick and easy. Technician arrived as scheduled and successfully completed the job at the quoted price.

I don't know what has happened to this company, but their professionalism and customer service has gotten TERRIBLE! I've been trying for weeks.... literally weeks....to get answers related to a $25K plumbing project they did for me. I've spoken to managers who promised ""I'll give you an update within 48 hours"" and its over a week later...and that's not the first example of this. It's just sad because I have been turning away other companies that want my HVAC maintenance business over the past 3 years. I will never use Bell Brothers again and will be cancelling my maintenance plan with them.

No stars. Scared my aged mother with a false carbon monoxide reading and attempted to scare her into replacing entire heating And air conditioner. Luckily us ""kids"" were able to kick them out her house before she signed a huge bid to replace both.
Pg&e came out. NO carbon monoxide NO issue with heater
Trying to scam the elderly SHAME on them

My rooftop heater stopped working. Diagnostic was a good deal. He quickly identified the problem (pressure sensor) and ruled out bigger problems (proper vacuum coming from the induction motor and the control board works). I did not purchase repairs because the cost was 10x the price of buying it myself. *Disclaimer: I'm an electrician, so no big deal TO ME.* So the Bell Bros tech diagnosed it Thursday and the tenants say the AC stopped working on Thursday. That reminds me: you can't expect me to pay 10x if the weather is nice. If it were freezing cold, yes I'd pay, but it isn't. Anyway I get the part shipped to me and go to install it Monday. Easy, done in 10 minutes. But now the heater stays on even with the thermostat pulled off the wall. Turns out the tech left the red (24V) and white (heat signal) wires connected. Must have been a temporary thing to help him diagnose it without having to go up and down the ladder to mess with the thermostat. Smart move, but you should return people's equipment to their original condition if you aren't paid to repair it. Took me 2 hours to search for and read the schematics (because it's my 1st time looking at the system). Had it not been for the heat being hard-wired to stay on, I would've given a 5 star rating. I appreciate you telling me about the humidity problem. I never noticed I should probably find a way to reroute the bathroom exhaust so it isn't directly under the heater. For that, I'll give you +1 star.

Great customer service. Very thorough and very personable. Bell Brothers employees always make sure they take care of your home wearing booties. They go the extra mile to take care of your service call.

My HVAC heating system check up went great. The technician was on time, knowledgeable, and courteous. I give the service a thumbs up.

**WARNING** DO NOT, UNDER ANY CONDITION, ALLOW BELL BROTHERS TO SWINDLE YOU INTO BUYING A NEW HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FROM THEM!!! This company, from top to bottom, is TERRIBLE and has given my house, family, and me SO MANY PROBLEMS. We have been customers for over 20 years, and they have done routine checks on our system. Our old system was working perfectly fine. Last summer, Bell Brothers came to do an annual check for our system. They said they found a few things of concern so they sent out a sales rep. They said our old system looked like it was starting to wear out and that we'd need a new system. The weather was warmer then, and they suggested we change it before the weather got cooler. We figured we should have it changed since our system was over 30 years old. They changed it, and it worked fine last summer. Then, during winter, the heater stopped working. We called, and they sent a technician out, but after a couple hours the system would shut off again. This happened every single day for weeks. They kept sending the same technician to check our system. We were so cold for so many days that we had to purchase portable heaters just to keep warm. HE even said he was tired of getting calls to go to our house. We kept asking them to send someone else, but they said he was the only one available. Finally, we told them that we'd wait however long until someone, ANYONE ELSE, was available. A new technician came out, and it turns out that it kept breaking down because the former technician installed the part BACKWARDS. The system works fine for a little while. Then, a loud whistling noise starts emanating from the system. The noise was so loud that our neighbors even called to ask us what was going on. They sent a technician out, and he initially told us that he'd try to fix it, but if not, they'd probably need to make a hole in the side of our house. Tf? NOPE. Thankfully, he was able to fix it without making said hole. Then, it started LEAKING. They had to rig a whole system out of PVC pipes that runs to the top of our garage and out into the backyard so it could drain out there and stop flooding our garage. Fast forward to this year. Air conditioning works fine during the summer, I'll give them that. Now, it's winter, and the weather drops into the low 40's at night. We start running the heater, and the system breaks AGAIN!!! They send a technician over. He got it to start working, and he said he literally blew out debris from a part. We thought, ""Ok, weird, but thankfully, easy fix. System breaks down AGAIN. They send someone else. HE even says that they don't make systems like they used to. So why did Bell Brothers swindle us into buying an expensive LEMON when our old system was perfectly fine, and their newer systems are faulty??!!! He says that it looks like a part needs to be replaced and that he'd send in an order. We ask when it will be available. He can't give us an estimate. They finally inform us that they have the part and to expect someone to install it on a certain day. We wait all morning. No call. Afternoon goes by, nothing. We call to see when they will send someone. They say they have no trucks available that day and that we'd have to wait until next week. We wanted them to replace the whole thing because it's been giving us ENDLESS problems. We would have gone with an entirely different company completely, but the expensive piece of garbage is under warranty. So now, we are stuck, sick, and tired of being cold, sick, and tired. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE dealt with so much BS from a single company. Their name should be BULL Brothers for the amount of BS they've put us through, not for days, weeks, or months, but for over a YEAR now. Save yourself the headache, time, and money and go with another company for your HVAC needs. We certainly wish we had and intend to take our business elsewhere. Business owner, don't tell me to contact Anthony. We asked to speak with him last week when they no-showed. The receptionist said he was busy and that he would call us back. No surprise, he never did, but that's what we've come to expect from your company. BS after BS. WORST service from anywhere ever.

I called Bell Bros to come out and do a tune up on my air/heater units. I got a really bad vibe from the two guys that showed up to do the service. After they were done, they told me I needed to replace both units to the tune of $18,000-$21,000! I felt like I needed a shower to wash off the crap they left after their visit to my home.
I got a second opinion from someone I know and trust and he told me that the units are fine and do not need to be replaced now, maybe in the future but not now.
The pressure from the Bell Bros guys was horrible, they were out and out lying to me. My guy told me he does a lot of services following the mess this company leaves in its wake.
Just a heads up, beware and do not use this company. How do you think they pay for all of those tv commercials!?! At our expense...

We have had Bell Brothers service our heating and air conditioning for 7 years, ever since we moved to El Dorado Hills. They have always done a great job. The service techs are professional and knowledgeable. Thank you Bell Brothers for always doing such a good job.

After our pipe burst, one of our toilets wouldn't stop running . We let the water run in the sinks etc to let the pressure out after the job but the toilet still made noise. I called Bell Brothers and they left a message for Eddie to call me to get more info to see if he needed to come out again. After talking to him he said he would schedule a time to come out and check . He came out today and checked the toilet and found that there was debris in the gasket area. He was able to flush it out and pick some out of the holes and everything was fine after that. I learn something as well which is always good. He also had a chance to look at the work that was done two days before with the pipe as the water had gone down. Thank you again Eddie I appreciate your time and thank you for cleaning up the dirt on the sidewalk which you didn't have to do.
