In 1982, Jerry and Kenny Bell enrolled in HVAC school in Phoenix, Arizona, where they mastered the fundamentals of heating and air conditioning. After finishing at the top of their class, they started working in the trades to acquire hands-on experience. In 1985, they ventured into the pizza industry, opening a pizzeria in their hometown while simultaneously working for local HVAC contractors. By 1991, they established Bell Bros., starting with a single old pizza delivery truck converted into a service vehicle and placing an ad in the phone book. They made pizzas and waited for calls, ready to switch shirts and serve customers when the phone rang. In 1995, the HVAC division moved out of the pizza parlor and into its own facility, hiring their first employees. Their ambition was to become the leading heating and cooling service provider in the region. Bell Bros. is now recognized as the largest heating and air conditioning company in the Sacramento area.
More than 28 years ago, two brothers founded Bell Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning with a clear vision: to cultivate a family of customers who would receive exceptional service and guaranteed satisfaction every time.
Our dream has always been to provide our family of customers with the best possible heating and air service, now including plumbing, sewer, window replacement, and ductwork and insulation services. We stand out by providing our technicians with continuous, high-quality training, ensuring they take pride in their workmanship and the care they give to your home. Bart B.We bought a new HVC from Bell Brothers at 16,000.00 dollars in 2019.
Our Nest lost the WI-FI connection so I called to have them help me get it back on line. Because I did not have a protection plan they would NOT help me over the phone. They told me I would have to pay 99.00 dollars to have a tech turn it back on, remember I paid 16,000.00 to this company. You would think they would make good on just that. I'm here to let you know their commercial states customer service is what separate them from others. NOT, NOT, and NOT. I am very disappointed in this company and will NOT ever direct anyone to this company.
After a routine maintenance check on our HVAC system, we were told that our system was unsafe due to a crack in the ignition chamber, and we had to sign a form saying we understood we shouldn't use the heater. They then gave us a $52K estimate for a new system, including ""necessary"" ductwork (10K) and attic insulation (15K). We used portable heaters for 5 days until two other reputable local companies came out and inspected the unit; both said there was no damage to our unit and we could use it. They each gave us estimates of around 20K for both a new system and attic insulation: they said we didn't need new ductwork. Bell Brother's bid for the attic insulation was 15K, but the two other companies wanted only 3K for the same quality job. We called Bell Brothers several times to inquire about this ridiculous bid, and it took over two weeks for them to respond, at which time they continued to insist that our unit is damaged, and they offered to come ""teach"" these other technicians how to do their jobs. We're done.
Rob C.Technician never showed up and I wasted a whole day off work for this. Customer service representative was not sympathetic to the fact that they never showed up! No surprise guys??? Using time off from work and getting stiffed is a pretty BIG SURPRISE! I would use someone else from the area.
Gidget F.Every time we have had to call this company for plumbing and heat and air they cancel our appointments after waiting for 4 hours for them to show up. Very frustrating. Folsom CA
I've been using Bell Brothers HVAC maintenance service for years. They are very thorough and do a great job. Recently, Justin repaired a problem with my heater and was professional, explained everything and was genuinely interested in getting the job done right.
Diane A.I had been a loyal Bell Brothers Rewards members for many years until today. The pilot light in my water heater went out and wouldn't stay lit. I called on Sunday, hoping for a Monday appointment. Their 24 service promise to Rewards members only applies to HVAC issues, not plumbing and I was given a Thursday appointment! Who wants to go without hot water for that long in the winter? Not I! I was able to get an appointment with an actual small business in Elk Grove on the same day! The repairman replaced my water heater promptly and now I am good to go. All those months of paying $20 for nothing makes me angry. My membership didn't make me any more valuable as a customer at all! Don't let them fool you... they are PARTIALLY family-owned having sold most of their business to others. Bell Brothers is too big for their britches!
This company is not worth it in the long run, it's really pricey and not worth what they cost. Their technicians are salesman and get commission from their sales, do not buy anything from these people they are a rip off and almost double the price anywhere else trust me. And treat there employees like slaves not worth the trouble or the work
Teri M.Heating/AC duct work. Absolute WORST customer service ever. Technician came out in July, said they couldn't get parts until Oct. I called them in Nov. they remembered that they should have called me to schedule. Promised to have a technician call me. No call back. I had to call 6 times, over 6 days to get a return call. Technician then promised that the home office would schedule the work to be done. No call back. Had to start calling again. Once scheduled, the accounts payable dept sent the wrong invoice.
Just like other comments and ratings, you get the run around by untrained staff.
Don't fall for their commercials! The Bell Brothers commercials of 2 friendly brothers offering amazing customer service is a joke. AND, their prices are way too high. Go elsewhere!
Two weeks ago we had new windows and a patio door installed in our townhouse. Bell Brothers did an excellent job. Felipe came out and showed us all the window choices and explained the benefits of each and provided a quote. We decided to move forward with Bell Brothers because they were very knowledgeable but not pushy. This part of the process was pleasant and I didn't feel like I was working with a salesman but with someone that wanted to help us make the best choice for our townhouse. Wanted a key lock on the patio door because this is our entry from carport. Also wanted push up lock on inside of patio door. No problem including these.
It does take several months for manufacturer to prepare order but it was worth it. On install date Bell Brothers arrived promptly at 7:00 am and worked until 1:30-2:00. They got everything installed in one day. They did an excellent job and everything was installed as requested. Very hard workers. Bell Brothers team lead was Mahammad and the other two workers were Matthew and Billy. Billy installed the patio door and did an excellent job. Mahammad worked and constantly checked on everyone to make sure everything was being installed correctly and working with them as well. He had a great sense of humor and the day went by quickly. The windows look beautiful and the finished look is perfect.
Highly recommend Bell Brothers for installing windows. You will not be sorry. They stand by their work and definitely know what they are doing.
They also installed my HVAC unit several years ago and did a great job then too. Haven't had any problems.
If you're thinking about window install or HVAC work consider Bell Brothers. They are the best.
Kate J.I had my HVAC replaced on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The installers were professional and efficient. However, they did leave behind sawdust on my driveway. Additionally, they told me the old HVAC and all of the garbage removed during the installation would be picked up by 5 pm that day. At 4:50 pm, I called Bell Brothers to follow up, as the garbage was still outside in front of my home, after being on hold for a bit, they told me my house was not included on the third party pick up list and provided zero explanation for why it was missed. The individual I talked to also could not guarantee it would be picked up on Friday, which means the garbage would remain in front of my home for 5 days. Thankfully, it was picked up Friday afternoon. However, it remained in front of my house Wednesday, Thursday (Thanksgiving) and until 2 pm on Friday. It was certainly not the look I was going for on Thanksgiving. I called Friday to speak to a manager and was assured that the manager would call me back. They did not. I expected a bit more after spending so much.
