For less than what Palo Alto Plumbing charged us for the intial visit (not even going to talk about the estimate of ridiculous replacements & hours of labor when this just took blowing out spiders) - Doug fixed our gas fireplace in about 15 minutes...

Amazing service - absolutely recommend! Prompt, courteous, knowledgable and actually diagnosed - did not recommend a blind replacement and got to root cause in 4-5 minutes!

Will hope to use Doug for any job we have in the future!

We had a gas line that was inactive and were having a fireplace insert put in soon. Doug answered my calls, gave a great estimate and came back in a few days to fix it. He took old rotten pipes out of the ground and re-ran the line to the closest side of the fireplace so we wouldn't have a lot of ugly piping on the outside. He even moved my gas turn on valve inside the house.
Excellent job! Efficient, timely, reasonable and honest. I'd use him again.

Doug Behr was recommended by a local fireplace store. We had a home propane gas fireplace that lit but then went out. I was having trouble finding someone that was willing to look at it.

Doug returned all phone calls promptly, arranged the visit and arrived on time. He was able to take the darned thing apart and fix what was not working in record time. You can't find reliable, competent people that easily, but Doug is one of them.

I recommend Doug to anyone with a gas fireplace!!

Gas Piping apart, cleaned things out and put it back correctly. We were very happy with his minimal labor charge. Doug was efficient, good with our three dogs (Rescued Pit Bull, Rat Terriers and they liked him... a good judge of character and Doug certainly passed that test!!!

Doug Behr came out to repair a mess made by my irrigation man who laid in a new water line from street to house. Doug thoroughly examined the job and walked me through what had to be done and what the approximate cost would be on a time and materials basis. They completed the job in considerably less time and corrected all the prior mistakes. I'd use him again without question. Very professional.

Had a great experience with Doug Behr, who was recommended by ABA Hearth & Home in San Carlos for the installation of a gas line for my fireplace renovation.

Doug came by for a thorough walk-through and came up with a creative solution for solving a problem with load on my gas line (adding the fireplace was potentially going to be too much for the existing 3/4 inch line). Fortunately, we didn't need to go down this path after the precise calculations were made, but it was comforting to see his attention to detail.

His on-site time was just over 4 hours and not several more as it could have been, as he wisely prepped much of the work beforehand. Instead of measuring and cutting everything on site, he used a system of elbows which could be adjusted and moved to the ensure the pipe is the right length -- ingenious!

And, he was fast, professional, accurate and cleaned up after himself in my living room where the new valve was installed beside the fireplace.

I highly recommend him for his work -- he is a pleasure to work with as well!
