They quoted one price then then charged more than twice as much. The first plumber wanted $170 but had a timing problem. From what I see this is a habit with them. I wish I read up on them before I trusted them

I had a new dishwasher installed by Beckwith Plumbing, the fee was over $250. Not only that, it took them more than two weeks before they could even come because they were so short staffed - they apologized but nothing they could do. So I patiently waited hoping for cost savings. I was quoted less than this by a substantial amount if I had it installed by Lowe's. Lowe's policy if you purchase dishwasher from them - $149 and includes install, delivery and takeaway of old - and no tax on the dishwasher. Someone told me that Lowe's was expensive and to contact a plumbing company. I called Beckwith plumbing company and expressed the situation and the price quote from Lowe's - Beckwith Plumbing should have advised that they would have been TWICE the cost or provided some typical costs of installs since they do this quite regularly. Which they did not (red flag). I wanted to share so others are better informed if you are researching costs. The positive - they installers were nice and professional.

Really disappointed with this company. Was quoted an hourly rate, and told within one hour that the job had been completed. When I received the invoice I was charged for 2.75 hours of labor. I spoke to their billing department and they were not able to explain the difference, but were not willing to change the invoice. I ended up paying 3 times what it was worth. I paid the bill but will not use Beckwith Plumbing again! And, I advise you run as fast as you can to another plumber!

Be aware of non-specific comments from them concerning any plumbing job you may have. The best I could get from them on an estimate for the plumbing work we needed was the comment """"That won't take long."""" This was after I gave detailed information about what needed to be done and sent several photos. Well, it would be difficult to find a REASONABLE person who thinks """"That won't take long"""" to mean TWO plumbers spending FIVE AND A HALF HOURS on the job! Even though that statement is subjective, I feel """"That won't take long"""" should mean an hour, an hour and a half, maybe two hours tops. Keep in mind they charge $125 an hour! We expected our bill to reflect their mistake in misquoting the amount of time they would take, but no, we were charged $700! Therefore, I can't recommend them.

we've used them twice. once outside the house to repair a damaged irrigation line. That work went well and they used a tarp to place the dirt and grass so that the finishing work was nice and clean. The second time was to install a recirculation line inside the house for hot water. They talked me through the product options and did a good, timely install. we're happy.

We were really disappointed in them. We asked them to come in and install some shutoffs to a bathroom sink. The countertop was tile, and the plumbers broke a lot of the tiles. The house was built in the 60's, so it was impossible to find matching tile to replace the broken ones. We wound up having to replace the entire countertop. They also billed us for travel time at twice the time MapQuest estimates, which further decreased our trust in them. The shutoff valves do work, but the carelessness of the workers and the questionable travel estimates made it so we'll never call them again.
