Negative stars? Our heat pump (only 2 1/2 years old) went out on January 3rd. Knowing the weather forecast we started calling--and their call center is in Georgia. Georgia wasn't worried about our weather. We finally got a tech late that afternoon. He said you need a new circuit board, we don't stock it. Sorry. And he left us for 4 days with no heat. Temp in house was in the 40s and 50s and we are both ""senior"" customers. They don't care about their customers at all. Don't they have a contingency plan? We have a service contract that isn't worth much.

I have been with Becht/Givens for 20 years. They do regular maintenance on my HVAC system and with the yearly contract, it saves money on automatic withdrawal.
This week I had an old pipe from 1956 start leaking with a condensation pump attached. Taylor and Terrence came out and we discussed several options to repair. They priced it and I said do it! All to code....
I have never had a bad experience with any technician. Their team is wonderful, whoever comes out. It starts with a phone call to the office and Naya is wonderful to answer questions and set your appointment. Her patience and concern for the customer is evident.
Becht/Givens installed our HAVC system which lasted 16 years with their maintenance. We will continue with the new one. This service call was different but their plumbers took care of the need. I have no hesitation in recommending the company. Thank you for your continued service!

Service tech (Aaron) called to tell me he was on his way and arrived on time. He was very professional and quickly found the problem with the humidifier. Have used them for a few years now and am very happy.

Our A/C went out and originally the technician (Jeffery White) said it was the thermostat and replaced it. An hour after he left we noticed that the house was still not cooling off (the AC unit was now coming on but the air was not cold). Called them back and they scheduled another appt. the next day. The same technician returned and found another issue. He was very apologetic for not catching the issue the day before. We were not charged for the second repair. Will continue to use Becht/Givens in the future.

Can I give negative stars? They border on criminal. My ac went out late on Monday July 3. They told us no one could come until Wednesday July 5. They show up at like 4:45, house is like 86o. Determine we need 3 parts for the motor. I won't bore you with the details but it's now Tuesday July 11, not fixed, no parts and then they wouldn't call me back. So it's been 8 days in the middle of sweltering July, and no ac. So I called Prudential, came out in 30 minutes, said it's not the blower, it's a circuit board, delivering one here, I will have ac in 2 hours. Is it a crime to leave someone without ac for 8 days in mid July. I am reporting Becht to BBB, and telling anyone and everyone to avoid. They are practically cruel. Shameful, really...

The serviceman (Gabe) was nice and friendly. He did his job at the right amount of speed that I knew that he cared. He was nice enough to replace the filter for me while he was at it.

We had a gas leak in our home, and was told by LG&E we needed a plumber, to come out and fix the issue before turning our gas back on. My husband and I moved into our first home last year, and had Becht/Givens come out for a water heater issue. We had a good first experience, so we called them again for this service. We wanted to make an appointment for them to come out, and the only appointment was for 6pm the next day. We all left the house, gathered necessities and stayed somewhere. Until we could come back to a warm house. We received a call around 3pm from a technician by the name of Brayton, asking if he could be there around 4:30 to 5pm. We said that was fine and I started heading to the house. Brayton and another technician end up showing at almost 6pm anyway. So I left for the house earlier than needed and waited longer than needed. They came in started doing their thing. Mentioned at one point, one of the pipes they couldn't test was in our master bedroom closet, and might have to tear down our drywall! That was not something I expected to hear, neither wanted. Brayton said he tightened a 90 elbow in the attic. They finished their pressure test and said that they weren't seeing a leak. When it came to paying he brought up a membership and that it would save us money, I agreed to that as it was going to be about $100 cheaper for the service. Remember this that was all that was mentioned before paying. Once they leave I receive a receipt via email. It listed the membership, a late hour fee of $40 and the service itself. We were never disclosed any information about a late hour fee, from making the appointment to paying for it. I called Customer Service and the technician stating that the late hour fee should have not been applied, as it was not disclosed to us at any point! This was said to be sent to billing and I have yet heard back. LG&E came back that night did their pressure test and it was an automatic fail. Called Brayton our technician back and told him our gas was still off. He said he'd call us back to see what needed to be done. He then came back with we'd have to repipe the whole house, including tearing down the drywall in our closet. We were devastated by this. He said he could probably come out to do measurements close to 5pm the next day. He said he would give us a call during the next day. We never received a call during the day and I was waiting at the house again. We received an email with an appointment confirmation for service on January 6th. We did not set this appointment up and that was insane for them to say they couldn't start doing work until then. I called Customer Service stating I wanted to cancel our appointment with Brayton, and the January appointment that was made for us! Customer service said they'd do so and send out messages to all the managers, so they could contact us. While on the call with them Brayton leaves a voicemail stating he wasn't going to make it, and put us on the books for the next day instead. I called back and told him we already canceled our service and that he should have handled, the situation better. He then goes on to say we don't really have the manpower to get a lot done. We called another company to come help us, the tightened a notch on one of the pipes connected to the furnace, checked the valves, did their tests. Never went into the attic, mentioned the pipes in our closet or said that our issue was a full repipe. Their price was less than half the amount I was charged with Becht/Givens. LG&E came back out and their test passed! The gas was tuned on. As a result of Becht Givens lack there of service my family was out of the house two extra nights than needed and with a bill that needs to be refunded. By law disclosed on the receipt We had the right to cancel the transaction at anytime prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of transaction. I called Customer Service stating that and why. I was told those notes were being sent to all managers. It's been almost a week and no one has contacted me. I won't stop calling until resolved.

Overpriced. Pushy with sales. If Jerome comes to your house be prepared to spend a lot of money. Get w second opinion. 2 and 3 times higher than other companies in the area.

Called on tuesday with a water leak. They seemed professional and up to the repair but had to leave and return on wed. Wed morning they canceled the appointment leaving me with a leak. On thursday one man arrived and proceeded to dig for the leak, five hours in- and he was working at finding the line- a supervisor called to stop work, and insisted that we needed to replace our entire service- at a cost of $7100!. Then, they left. Left me with the water turned off after three days and no real solution. Fortunately Maeser got a plumber out to me within two hours and he had the leak repaired within an hour!

I have been using their service for two years. Pervious owner of my home used them for 10 years. Reasonable and very professional. They give a two hour window and service tech Chris Mays always calls when he is within 1/2 of arrival. Quick and clean. No need to shop this service.
