The response to this is simply not true and could be clarified with saved texts and email. Take it for what it's worth. I could go on further about the hourly charges and back and forth about the crack as it was stated ""it's not an issue"" rather than an oversight but will refrain. It was their reco to use the risers on the new stringers, not mine. Just beware as this was my personal experience.

We've used Beaty Home Improvements before, so when we found some mold in our basement we knew exactly who to call.

Needless to say, we were concerned...we'd heard horror stories about mold destroying homes.  Beaty Home Improvements came quickly and reassured us they'd get the job done and done right.

Within no time, the mold was gone.  Their work is expert level and their employees are friendly and professional.  Excellent value for the work and peace of mind.

I can't say enough about this company.  They are without a doubt the first call we make when we need anything done for our home, and they should absolutely be your first choice too!

F.Y.I. Sadly I want to warn anyone considering having home repairs done by this company. I hired them to make much needed repairs to my home and received a second rate job and a greatly inflated price!
They were rude when I pointed out a few of the flews and left me with a mess to clean up. I wanted to give the job to a local business but I ended up ""Getting the business!"" Shame on them!

When I wanted curtain rods installed this summer, I knew I wanted to use the same company. New year, totally opposite experience. A few weeks ago, I scheduled an appointment to have some work done today (Aug. 3). Two hours after my scheduled start time, I called to see why no one has shown up. There is a voicemail greeting saying they are out of the office until Monday and I cannot leave a message because the mailbox is full. It's clear no one will come to do the work I scheduled weeks ago for today, my last day off for months. I am very disappointed and frustrated by the bad communication. I will not use this company again and would caution others against it unless the company provides good reason for this poor communication and shares a plan for review and revision of its practices.

I emailed the company (as they were not answering phones or taking voicemails), and initially received a professional and courteous response that reassured me. I'd planned to reschedule. However, after they read my honest review on Angie's List, the owner sent me a snarky email. It's clear based on that response and their other responses to reviews on Angie's List that ownership, at least at times, tries to bully people who share honest negative reviews about their experiences. It's a shame -- I'd already recommended the company to family after the initially appropriate response. I've since warned others against doing business with this company and warn you against it, too.

We purchased our home 6 years ago and just this year discovered why it was so drafty and prone to loud street noise coming through the walls. It turns out the builder never sheathed the home in OSB and Tyvek, which I later found out wasn't part of the mandatory code back then for our county.

After contacting several companies here on AL, I was able to connect with Josh Beaty. Josh seemed up to the challenge of removing the existing siding and foam boards, etc, then re-skinning the entire home in OSB and Tyvek. He was optimistic, although I was hesitant in getting too excited at that point, after dealing with a wide array of contractors over the past 2 years, most of which let me down in one way or another in a big way.

Josh's team arrived on time as scheduled for the work, and he introduced me to everyone. They were all seasoned construction workers, and kept the site clean the best they could (it was quite a messy project). Each was courteous and professional. Typically after you contract with a company, you mainly deal with the workers themselves and can't seem to reach the boss man. This was not the case with Josh. He provided his cell phone, and barring any meeting, he always took my call or called me back right away. A refreshing change from the norm I had been accustomed to. In addition, I had a siding company coming in with new siding in 3-4 weeks, and this project needed to be completed within that time frame, which Josh and his team met.

In the end, he and his team did the work to spec, on time and within the quoted price. I would definitely use Beaty Home Improvements again, and will recommend to anyone seeking home construction projects...no matter how big/small/crazy.
