I read all the reviews and took my chance so I called them to get a quote on a furnace repair and tuneup; getting ready for the cold season. The phone kept ringing and ringing, as I was going to hang up, I lady answered. I explained what service I needed, she briefly took the info down and told me she works for a call center. She will relay the message and they will call you...she didn't know when but they will call. I waited several hours and never got a call back. I did however get a call from a private number caller id but who picks up calls from private numbers? I didn't pick up and waited to see if they would leave a voice message...but didn't. It probably wasn't even them calling. So I never got a call back at all. They're probably too busy or they're company's way of returning potential customers calls with this call center is not ideal for business. I felt it wasn't very personable or professional. They might be a good company but I wouldn't know bc there is an obvious business to customer discount.

I've never posted a negative review on Yelp before so this is a first for me. We really wanted to find a good, trustworthy plumber and heating service company in Big Bear and tried to give Bear Valley a shot. We scheduled an estimate for the cleaning/service of two basic central heating units and the installation of two ecobees back in February. They charged $99 for the estimate and quoted us $375 per heater and $99 per ecobee. They added a couple of small promotions but the price seemed quite high so we put the work off until the end of summer.

This is where the horrible experience starts. We called to make an appointment to have the services done and were told that would not be a problem and they could come out in a few weeks. We adjusted our schedules to make the timing work with them. Upon arrival the technician informed us the prices had gone up a little since we saw them last. A little disappointing to wait to mention this until now but it had been 6 months so not crazy. Then our technician, Wesley, said he had to go out to his car to call his supervisor to discuss the new estimate. The ""new"" price was $489 per heater and $250 per ecobee. That's a 55% increase on an already high price that they didn't think to mention when scheduling the service. When I complained to Wesley he said he understood and went back and forth to his car 4 times to discuss with his service manager, ultimately offering and insulting $25 discount. When I asked to speak with the service manager myself Wesley explained that they don't like to talk directly to customers. When I asked for the service managers name he said they can't divulge that sort of information.

Honestly I haven't had an experience this shady with a service company that I can remember and would highly advise anyone in the valley to look elsewhere. If this is how they conduct business prior to starting the service, I can only imagine how they would try to price gouge once they start doing work and finding ""issues"".

We had a pretty good leak from our main line valve. It required contacting dig alert and digging through some pretty rocky ground. They planned it all out and got it taken care of. Very thankful for their help.

Not the cheapest in town but if you want an honest job done CORRECTLY with out any hassles take my advice and give them a
Call! We had a tankless water heater and new furnace installed in our cabin - they did it all while we were out of town, did a great job, and left the place clean when they finished!!

I had a AC Unit system installed at my cabin in Big Bear City. The installation took one day to complete. I also had them install the Nest Thermostat which I really like! Brian, Quinton, and Mike where prompt, absolutely very professional, and very informative. They left the work areas clean and tidy as soon as they where done. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone who's looking to have HVAC or plumbing work done! Great job gentlemen!!

A big shout out to BVPH! Quentin was for professional and knowledgeable. He first explained the issue and walked us through what he was going to do to fix it.

Within an hour he was done. I've lived up here many years and never dealt with a more professional company. From the very start you know you are not dealing with the normal Big Bear business. They are in constant communication and the text messaging is very handy.

You can't go wrong with BVPH for any of your plumping, heating and or ac needs!
