On an early cold Christmas morning with the stockings hung by the furnace with care, hoping Santa would bring me lots of Amazon and Starbucks cards. I awake with a sound of not what I liked. Not of some reindeer on my roof, but the sound of the Carbon Monoxide alarm ringing in my ear.

My 70 year old mother with us for Christmas was startled in her room. What's going on around this place? That isn't no Santa, she said with a smirk. I said go outside and get some fresh air till I call the Fire department cus I don't know what to do.. They came on their sled and said with delight. You are all alive since Kiddie was on guard and working tonight.

The heater had a crack and was letting out gas, that kind that can kill us all in just a few hours in the wee hours of the night.

They shut the furnace off and tagged it not to use. Till Bear Valley Heating could send Dan in his truck to replace the whole thing. Dan came and got the old heater out and said, your story is happy and Kiddie may like to know they have another family saved have a blessed New Year.

Kiddie was glad and sent us new replacement Kiddie Carbon Monoxide alarm just for the good news. The old one was still good, but it was a good time to renew.

The story is making sure your Smoke and CO alarm is current and working. Call Bear Valley Heating and ask for Dan. This story is true and Dan fix your furnace and AC too.

So the moral of this story is make sure your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms are current, working, and new. Dan was the young man who fixed are machine. I was told by my friends to call BVH and said ask for Dan. (maybe Daniel, or Danny, the young enthusiastic service man )

So when many say and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I can say we did have a Happy New Year and are alive because Kiddie did the job and Dan came replaced the furnace and warm and safe.

This is a true story and Kiddie did send me a replacement Alarm because I shared with them that they saved some more lives. Plus Call Bear Valley and they repair and fix the problems. I may mess around with some minor plumbing issues, but seeing how dangerous this is with even a small leak , let Bear Valley come and fix it right.

Amazing service all around! Couldn't believe the bad luck I was having with my heater breaking down this early in the season!! Well my luck definitely changed for the better when I called Bear Valley Heating and Northstar!!! Had a great experience from the moment I called and spoke to Valerie she assisted in getting me same day service!! I was extremely appreciative they were able to get to me so quickly! They sent over my service technician Daniel to my home and I'm so glad they did!! He was determined to get my unit up and running! I was very impressed with the professionalism and he's very knowledgeable. Very happy with the service 5 stars all around I will definitely be using them again in the future!! Thank you!!

One of the technicians Daniel did an amazing job he was extremely thorough and made sure to be super responsive and clear when it came to information about our unit I was extremely impressed by how knowledgeable he was and how quickly they got the job done I would definitely recommend and will be reaching out to him for any work I need in the future :)

I was referred to Sean at Bear Valley Heating for a PVC plumbing job on our spa in Big Bear Lake. He checked it out and sent Michael, who was a whiz and installed the new filter with unions on both sides in record time!
For the first time in years the spa had No leaks! Great job!

As a past customer that called for a service on a 6,700 square foot home on Lake Drive in Big Bear Lake, you declined to come out because the home was ""in escrow"". WTF? This is a past customer... So, I called M&M Mechanicals and Dean was out the next day and replaced some filters, cleaned both burners and replaced a condensation pump. Shame on you! If you are unwilling to come out to a past client and provide necessary heat in a house, shame the f on you, idiots!

I called to have the filter, near the top of our cathedral ceiling replaced. Quentin arrived on time and put on booties tho I told him it wasn't necessary. He quickly removed the filter and I asked him about moving the filter down to the unit for ease of replacement. He told me what modifications would need to be made to the exhaust pipe to make room for the new filter tray and gave me a quote which I approved. Before doing the work, tho, he scheduled a heater cleaning and inspection to verify that the heater was working properly before they performed the mod.
Sure enough, there were cracks in the heat exchanger. He did not just ask me to take his word, but shined a light outside the exchanger and took a picture thru the tube, to show me the light thru the crack.
We discussed the possibility that the heat exchanger could be replaced, and he called multiple suppliers, but my heater was too old and no longer supported.
So then I asked about whether to replace the heater with another lower efficiency heater or whether to install a more efficient one. That would require a new vent up n thru the roof. I also asked about an eco-friendly heat pump and he was knowledgeable and informed on them as well.
I have a home warranty company, so I called them to get authorization for the heater replacement. Unfortunately, Bear Valley Plumbing and Heating was not on their list of associated providers, so I had to go with another company. I had signed preliminary documents with BVP&H and Quentin assured me that they'd try hard to procure the replacement before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The approved company was not nearly as professional, nor helpful. He said it would be at least a week after T-day before a heater could be brought up to Big Bear. In the meantime we have to suffer with electric room heaters.
Bottom line: I was very impressed and appreciative of Quentin's professionalism, knowledge, thoroughness, and especially his patience while explaining the options and answering my questions.
After all that, BBVP&H did not charge me a penny.

Quentin set a high bar in the above areas, one that is hard to match in a service person, and one that every person in need wishes to find when they open their front door.

My hot water heater stopped working ,I called Bear Valley Heating, they came the next day to find out what the problem was, as it turned out the only problem was that the pilot on the water heater went out and needed re lighting, , he said it was going to come to $288 that included the service charge of $99. Well I had no choice i had to have hot water and didn't have any one else to help me, he was very nice But come on $288 to light the pilot?? I won't be using them again

This is not really Bear Valley Heating. Another Company bought their phone number. First off the company that bought them, they are not local to Big Bear Lake which they say they are. They totally flaked on me. It was extremely difficult making an appointment. The first time I called I got an appointment for my heater. When I called back to confirm I was scheduled for a HOT water heater maintenance. ? The people answering the phones don't even know the business. Then the guy came out at 4:55pm and took the heater apart. Then said he had to call the company for trouble shooting because it was probably the mother board and it would cost a lot. Then he said he had to come back the next day in the morning. Did not put the unit back together. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. I had to tape the panels back on. I Called a local company and they said it just needed a really good cleaning. It works and only cost $180.00. Message me if you want to know who I used. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I wish I could give Bear Valley Heating more stars than allowed.
My heater went out on me so I called and Tony was here and working within a couple of hours. He has to go out to get a part and was back within 30 min.
Then I kind of threw another job at him with my gas fireplace in my bedroom that's been a pain in my rear since I moved in. Tony cured my issue with that and my heater.

Tony just came and fixed our heater for no time and fraction of the money the ""big"" company around wanted just to make an evaluation of the problem. And Tony is such a nice guy !
