Beantown AC officially launched in June of 2005. G. Bradley, the owner, started as a one-man operation working from his van and his father's garage. The business was built on three fundamental principles: high-quality service and installations, exceptional customer care, and fair pricing. The initial years were challenging, but G. persevered and pushed through.

Today, Beantown AC has a team of seven outstanding members who all understand the three core principles that make their roles possible. Bought a house with no A/C and electric baseboard heat, priced out a few different options on heat and AC and went with Mitsubishi Ductless Minisplit ceiling units. G and his guys gave a good price and worked with me for financing. The crew he sent could not have been more courteous to my wife and I, the very definition of professional, to the point where I was comfortable with them in my home while I was gone. This is my first review on Yelp - and it was the service and installation excellence of Beantown AC that motived me to create a Yelp account and post today.

I live in Humarock and researched mini splits for over year. I went with Beantown based on their Yelp reviews after talking to the owner ""G"". I appreciated G's modern communication (email) and thorough knowledge of Mitsubishi's products. I wanted to have 6 heads installed throughout the house - with a challenging cathedral ceiling on the top floor (my house in inverted; kitchen on top). G and Team came up with a great plan to keep the piping to a minimum and all of the compressors on one side of the yard.

The installation took place in August 2018. Everything went smoothly; the team was great and respectful of my house and property. Unfortunately, I didn't really get a chance to really test the units with hot weather, but I was very impressed by how quiet they ran.

I opted for the more expensive units that also generate heat. I tested the heat last winter and again, I'm very pleased with the investment!

This summer (2019), however, we had some hot days and I reached out to G because the top floor just wasn't cooling according to expectations. G worked with me to find a solution and I'm happy to say I had a glorious summer of A/C with no complaints from visiting friends and family. Beantown's commitment to the job (a year later) is why I went with the company in the first place.

Also, the team helped me process all of the MA rebates with no issues.

If you are thinking about mini splits I highly recommend them; you hardly notice them on the wall (I really mean that; they almost disappear). And believe it or not, having each room/floor customizable for temp, is actually better, in my opinion, than just setting one temp for the entire house. Now everyone is happy according to their own preference!

If you want a committed company that does high-quality work go with Beantown. I am very happy with the service, team, and feel the price = good value.

Scheduled an estimate for central air a month in advance based on a Mass Save recommendation was contacted by Beantown the day of and they canceled and stated that they cannot take estimated work until September it's July and I called in June what kind of an air conditioner company does that? Would not recommend!

Just had a basic boiler maintenance service performed by their technician Matthew Cardon. The technician was a gentleman, clean, and professional. The preventive maintenance took about an hour. He checked everything, vacuumed out the debris from the near by dryer, and put everything back to where it was. Price was reasonable for the market rate at $95; and the company did an excellent job with communication between their scheduling via phone to their text and email reminders. Would strongly recommend this company and I will be using them again next year.

We had Beantown A/C install central air in the upstairs and a split wall unit on the first floor. The installation process was smooth and clean. We have only had to use the system for cooling once so far but it worked great on Easter with a house full of people and all ovens going. Erin who works in the office is a pleasure to work with and G. the owner is always prompt with responses to any of my questions or concerns. He went over all my options and there were no hidden charges upon completion. The system has been coming on in allergy defender mode which I love, it also dehumidifies. It is a big undertaking so it nice to have a smooth installation and dealing with a contractor that knows what he is doing. Erin submitted all the paperwork for any rebates. Nice touch! After quickly diagnosing the problem, it was fixed. I'd recommend that you sign up for the service contract. It saved me money on the service call.
