The garbage disposal went out at my rental property. Given my renter can't use the sink without leaking, I didn't have time to perform a lot of research or get multiple quotes. I called Beacon on a Friday and scheduled the repair for Monday between 9am - noon. The call to schedule was weird...the guy on the other line went in and out of talking with me like he was talking with someone else in the background. Weird, but they must be busy, no big deal. I asked for an estimate of what the price would be assuming I needed a new disposal, and was told that the guy works in the call center and has no idea what the price could be. That should have been a red flag and I should have hung up and called someone else who could at least give me a quote. Shame on me. I let my renter know someone would show up between 9am and noon on Monday so that they could plan to be home at that time. At about 130pm on Monday my renter contacts me asking if the repair man cancelled given no one had showed up? I was not contacted, and instead contacted Beacon and was told they were running behind due to weather. A call would have been nice. A different person then calls me back to ask if I still need the service? Uh, yes I do, as I indicated when I called on Friday and an hour earlier on Monday. They did show up about 330pm that afternoon. When the repairman showed up, he quoted me at $820 to repair. At that point I had to move forward with the work given my renter was in need of a sink. I was shocked at the price and again asked for a breakdown of the price and why it was so expensive and was told that he was the repairman and has no insight into pricing - he just does the work. Does anyone at the Company know what they're charging or why? Can I get a breakdown of what I'm paying for? I subsequently googled garbage disposal installation and noted Home Depot and Lowes will install for ~$100 and a NICE disposal runs a little north of $100 so I likely could have gotten the job done for $200-300. My fault for not having time to do more research, but come on, this is highway robbery. Start freakin if you call beacon. I will NOT use Beacon for any services or work moving forward unless someone can contact me and tell me what I paid for and why it was so dang expensive. After reading some of the other reviews, this Company appears to gouge people with pricing once they're already at your house, knowing that once they've shown up to your house and your without hot water or running water there's a good chance people will break down and pay whether or not they're comfortable with the price, and at a minimum beacon will collect the fee to have them come out. Shame on me for not demanding more information up front, but this company has lost my trust and appears shady at best. They got the $820 but will not get another dime and I have already shared this with others I know. I don't expect to hear anything as I'm sure they got exactly what they wanted. I may even file a report with BBB. I'm giving them one star because their slogan is catchy and they used Marshawn to advertise.

I had the best experience with Beacon today. It's Saturday evening and a few hours ago I lost power to several areas of my house. Flipping the breaker didn't fix my problem and the breaker looked weird so I knew I needed help. Beacon had 2 electricians at my house within about 90 minutes. Zach and Jake were wonderful. I agreed to pay the diagnostic charge (fully made aware of this up front) and they got to work. After going through a couple more breakers in the garage they moved inside and by process of elimination they isolated the problem to my hallway/stairs light fixtures. We were immediately able to get power and lights restore to the rest of the spaces and they left me with a quote for the needed repairs to the hallway light fixtures without any sales pressure. As a Director of Sales, I appreciate honesty and integrity in business operations and that's how I decide who I give my business to. I am thankful they were able to help me get the rest of my lights (and Internet) back in for the weekend and I'll have to figure out the repair soon. I'll likely get a second quote because that seems reasonable, but I would definitely recommend Beacon.

Tried booking an estimate to replace/reline 2 city sewer lines. They wanted $70 to come out and bid for my business. Ether estimates were $30k, and didn't charge for an estimate. They seem focused on the short game, get in/out, and not the big picture.

Called on a holiday because they were open. Tenants had no hot water and a partial electrical outage. The report I got from them was that the hot water tank was old and needed to be replaced and that the electrical service also needed to be replaced. They said they could jury-rig the hot water heater for the time being, and I agreed. The charge came to nearly $900. Several hours later the tenants called and said they still had no hot water. I sent out a different plumber who said that the pilot light was in the off position. He turned it on and lit it, and there was hot water. I was also told that the water heater was only 5 years old. After the holiday was over, I called another electrician, who found a circuit turned off on the board and a surge protector turned off. Problem fixed. I attempted to resolve the issue with Beacon, who decided that my tenants had gone down into the crawl space to turn off the pilot light on the water heater.

I called Beacon to have a. Generator hookup thing to my panel. The electrician that came out was Jeremy. He was very polite, respectful, and very knowledgeable. He explained to me that the generator that I bought is not the right fit. He even recommended the correct size and told me that I could call back and he would come back to do it. I sure did!! I am so thankful and grateful for Beacon! Now I don't have to worry about a winter storm or a power outage! Thank you Steve Farden and Jake for your amazing work!! I am beyond happy with the service and installation!! Thank you Beacon!! I will always call you FIRST!!

I ain't Freakin' cause I got Beacon ....

Great PPE, quick, and efficient. We had a leak and were unsure of where it was coming from in the crawlspace underneath the Kitchen. We had another plumber come a month before and they claimed it was the dishwasher. We called Beacon and had them come out to give a second opinion. They found it was the pipe leading to the sink and fixed it the same day. Fast, efficient, and knowledgeable.

I found my experience with Beacon plumbing to be very challenging and unenjoyable; beacon and its employees are manipulative coercive and intimidating.

From the plumbers to their supervisors I find the work to be shoddy and their attitudes to be quite poor, distracting at the least.

There are a multitude of plumbing options in the Seattle area I will suggest you go elsewhere for whatever it's worth.

Overpriced. The guy charged me $1,000+ and didn't even clean my drain pipes. ""His snake lines weren't long enough."" This dude was on call and looked really tired. Don't use this company. They're overpriced. Use Perez Plumbing, They're reasonable and get the job done at least. Let's see if the owner want to resolve this or not

Beacon sent someone to inspect a water leak into our basement. The service was fine but they also identified an issue with our sump pump and recommended replacing it.

To do the work they quoted almost $4500! Given the expense, we decided to get another quote to compare. That company, another large plumbing company in the area, only charged about $750. They also shared that the sump pump equipment was only about $270, it is nothing less than highway robbery that Beacon wanted to charge over $4000 to install a piece of equipment worth $270.

Simply put, we will never work with them as I don't work with thieves.

I had four project experiences with Beacon plumbing and worked with five groups of people. The first project is good, the second one is OK, and the last one is extremely terrible. After spending 8K dollars and refusing service by its worker and calling me ""a wired person"", I don't want to work with this company again. I would say the experience vary significantly with different workers and I was totally disappointed about their last service and the way they treat customers.

I had water damage last June and we had Ned work on re-piping for my house. He is a nice guy and he finished the job quickly and well. However, after three months of his work and the restoration of my house, I had new water damage immediately after moving in. The water comes suddenly from the bottom of the dish washing machine and washing machine when my cleaners are working on it. There is also water leaking in the crawl space. I called Beacon's plumbing because I want to double check whether it is the problem of re-piping. I know it is Sunday afternoon and I appreciate them coming to visit.

The first group of workers came and only one worker tried to identify the problem. I showed there is only one open drain pipe behind the dishwasher machine and it seems the only way to come out of water. He full-filed my sinks and pushed the garbage disposal and repeated the water damage again!! I understand he was trying to reproduce the issue and I don't complain about that.

He asked me to shut off the water in the house and call his co-worker (Tom or Bred) in the vehicle to help. After they did first aid and I had a very disappointed conversation with Tom. He did not wear the company costumes and no name badge on his cloth. He told me the reason why this happens but I don't quite understand. So I would like to record his explanation and let my contractor know why this happens and it is their responsibility to fix this. Tom apparently don't want to be in the middle between me and the contractor so it may not ruin their relationship with some general contractors they don't even know. OK, I understand and that's fine, I recorded his explanation about the reason of damage with only his voice.

The real weird thing is that I asked him if he could go to the crawl space and check whether there is any leaking from the pipes. He would not do as he believes it is not about the re-piping at all. He would only fix this problem with capping the abandoned drain pipe with $750 and nothing more. I asked how can he know 100% it is the only reason for the crawl space to have standing water and wet insulation. He said he is the top3 of the company and he believes 100% it is not possible for their re-piped system to leak. I don't think this is a good explanation as you cannot exclude the reason 100% without even looking at it and it seems I cannot even call you for any reason if there is leaking in the crawl space. I had experienced several water damages in the year and I definitely want no exception to happen again. He then just refused to service me and leave. He won't tell me his name and called the service center to send another guy and would not explain why he refused to service. His co-work even did know what happened.

I asked the service center why he refused to work and the representative lady seems not quite friendly as well. She told me that I am challenging their expertise and authorities. That is funny. You don't listen to customers and there is no chance that I can call you about worries of your previous work because you simply believe your work is 100% no problem and don't need any check or service.

Interestingly, another worker Noel came later and he clearly explained to me and my contractors what the problem is and my contractor understood and agreed to pay to fix the issue due to their mistakes. The price is $488 plus tax. And Noel said if I want him to check the crawl space but I need to pay more. No problem! I mean that is the way to solve this problem and what better communication looks like! I am not a ""wired"" customer and deserve not to be treated rudely!
