Called them to investigate a leak. Plumber first quoted me a price of $350, just to open the ceiling and diagnose where the leak was. When I balked that it was literally 5 minutes of work to cut open the ceiling and look around and asked what his hourly rate was, he told me that's what his price book had. After speaking with his supervisor, he lowered his price to $150, which is still high, IMO, just to diagnose where the leak is. Never will use them again.

There's plenty of honest people looking for work, and price is airways negotiable. I don't mind paying a fair price, but don't get greedy.
