B&C Sewer and Drains
Company Overview
If you have a plumbing issue in your home or business anywhere in the Washington, DC area, reach out to B&C today to resolve your concerns. “We provide services that go beyond simple drain cleaning.” Having worked in plumbing for about 28 years, I have dedicated the majority of that time to being a union service technician. The month of April in 2009 was when I separated from that business, leading to the establishment of B&C. We strive at B&C to alter the traditional image of plumbers by offering dedicated technicians who honor your time and property. Our motto is not merely a phrase; it represents a way of life. We believe that repeat business fuels our growth, and outstanding customer service turns first-time clients into returning customers at B&C Services. Give us a chance, and you will see why we proudly claim this is “Where Customer Care Lives.” We began our journey in 1991, providing plumbing solutions for various properties, from homes to offices and multi-family buildings. I worked with the local 5 plumbers union for over 15 years. We prioritize respect for both personal property and time. The company was established by Bill Taylor, whose work ethic and principles are to be followed by every team member. “This embodies a mindset in progress.”

William L.I had a great experience. My water heater tank started to leak in the basmement. I pretty much knew I needed a new one so when I called Bill, he came out the same day with a brand new heater and installed it. He installed the new water heater up to code and even showed me how to use it as well as properly maintain it. You do not know what you have until its gone and he really came and he came and saved the day for me and my family. I will be calling him again as well as reffering him to others.
Patrick B.My new go-to plumber. Gave me a good explanation of what the issues were, resolved them for me and charged a fair price. Someone you can trust...which these days is not always easy to find. Highly recommend.
Alicia P.Hands down Bill is truly great at what he does! Even with my lack of proper terminology and description, he is always able to come in quickly assess and resolve my issue. He has snaked my drains, cleared out my outside drain from tree roots, fixed my garbage disposal and the list goes on. He is always prompt and provides efficient, well-done service. He will continue to be my go-to guy for my plumbing needs!
This guy was great!
Our sewer line backed up.
I called him first thing in the morning, he called right back on his cell and he was here within an hour.
He and his son were courteous and polite.
He had to pull the basement toilet, which is ancient, but didn't make a big deal about it.
Did the work, didn't bother me so I could work, worked without making a mess, put on booties so as not to trash my house and rugs, cleaned up after themselves.
Charged me EXACTLY what he quoted, without any add-ons.
He said he was a master plumber, so I may try him for regular stuff next time I need it.
5-stars-plus all around!
Bill gave me a straight up quote over the phone (no hourly or hidden charges for the kitchen sink snaking I needed) and worked around my schedule to come fix the issue. He and his colleague were professional, respectful of my home and did a fantastic job, even fixing the water pressure on the faucet free of charge.
Great service! Highly recommended.
January T.First time using this company. When I called, Bill was very professional and was able to come out within a few hours. When he arrived he immediately identified crappy craftsmanship from my new home builders (Ryan Homes). The pipe appeared to have already been damaged and repaired. He quickly corrected the problem and was able to explain it all clearly to me. There is still ongoing issues with the builder but I will definitely call them again if needed.
Called Bill on Christmas Eve when our lines backed up and our basement toilet began sputtering water from the floor. We were expecting to host the next day for 15 people and were unable to use any drains without it coming back into the basement.
Bill was on call but referred us to a few other plumbers. None were available, so Bill wrapped up his other projects and came by. After encountering a handful of obstacles, he finally was able to cut the pipe and get access to what he needed to see.
He cleared the roots that had grown into the pipe and, few days later, came back to install a new access pipe. He also used a video snake before clearing the remaining pipe in order to determine where the problem originated. Throughout the process, he was communicative and helpful.
It's not too often you can say at one person saved Christmas!
K D.Not sure how there reviews are so stellar, maybe only for simple fixes like clogged drains, fixture changes etc..this Co is better; unless these are friends and family commenters. I called and Mr. Taylor and I agreed on a $95 price to come to my home, open up the ceiling and find a leak which he stated would be under an hour to find after opening up the ceiling. He came arrived on time, looked at the ceiling, looked at the rooms above the ceiling, shook a toilet and stated that it could be that, but probably wasnt, but either way could be an issue later- charged $160 to seal/wax around toilet, refused to remove any drywall to properly access where the leak was coming from, said his best guess was that it was an old leak. Since then (a week later) water has now grown from just a stain until yesterday actually dripping water out of the ceiling. If it were old and everything were dry when he left, would whatever he did cause the leak? Or was his accessment and refusal to open the ceiling as agreed upon just wrong? Either way when I called back he stated he would recharge the same fees to do the same job we agreed upon initially. The conversations with him though professional, felt like to began to be annoyed, aggresive, and condesending after my pressure for a real answer and for the drywall to be removed when he was there. And the toilet is now crooked... so a total waste of time and money. Dissapointed in these yelp reviews.
Eileen M.Wonderful experience. I called B&C because they had good reviews on Yelp. As it turns out, Bill was great. He was fast, reasonably priced and amazingly professional and polite. It's so refreshing to have a contractor who is not trying to take advantage of customers. I will definitely call him again next time I have an issue.
Martina S.B&C Sewer and Drains is a lifesaver! I was cleaning my tub to prepare my house to rent the night before I had tenants scheduled to move in. However, I broke the lever in the tub to drain the water. And was left with a tub full of dirty water that would not drain. I called B&C Sewer and Drains approx 8AM the next day (clog occurred at 11PM on Thanksgiving) and was told that they could squeeze me in and be at my house between 9AM and 10AM. The plumber was on time and extremely knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He was able to quickly identify the problem and had the parts in his vehicle to fix them. I also remembered two other issues I had been having with that tub and he was able to fix those issues as well. Also, I had installed a new shower head in the master bath that morning and forgot to buy teflon. The plumber had teflon applied it and re-installed the shower head. Even though the plumber squeezed me in at the last minute and was likely in a time crunch, I feel that he did a thorough job and did not rush. He made time to explain what he was doing and what was causing the problems and how he was going to fix it. He was friendly and even had time for small talk. Bottom Line: B&C Sewer and Drains came through for me in a big way at the last minute and has great customer service.
