Company Overview

Should you face a plumbing challenge in your residence or business within the Washington, DC vicinity, contact B&C today to eliminate your troubles. “We provide services that go beyond simple drain cleaning.” I have been in the plumbing industry for nearly 28 years, primarily working as a union service technician. In April 2009, I parted ways with that company, marking the beginning of B&C. At B&C, we aim to redefine the stereotype of the typical plumber and deliver service-oriented technicians who respect your time and property. This slogan is more than just words; it embodies our philosophy. At B&C Services, we recognize that building a loyal customer base is vital, and great customer service is what converts first-time clients into regulars. Try our services, and you’ll understand why we say this is “Where Customer Care Lives.” Since 1991, we have been delivering plumbing services to a wide range of properties, including residential homes, offices, and multi-unit dwellings. I worked with the local 5 plumbers union for over 15 years. We prioritize respect for both personal property and time. The company was established by Bill Taylor, whose work ethic and principles are to be followed by every team member. “This is a mindset in action.”

l called Bill about an outdoor plumbing issue (a clogged downspout) and he was super helpful in walking through with me over the phone how to diagnose the problem. He ultimately advised that I might not need a plumber and should take some steps first to figure out to see if if I could fix it on my own and see save some money in the process. He definitely knows his stuff and really appreciated that he took the time to talk through it with me. I will definitely keep him in mind for future plumbing issues.

From the moment I called Bill (that's his cellphone on the contact) to the full solution of my backed-up toilet, it was 45 minutes. It wasn't cheap, but it was incredibly fast and done professionally. I appreciate that because I don't have time to wait around in the middle of the workweek.

He did mention my timing was impeccable because he happened to be two blocks away, so you may have to wait more, but clearly the will to give fast great service is there.

He even told me how to fix the same problem myself in the future, including the tool to get and how he made his better, because he acknowledged that calling a plumber for a 10 minute job doesn't come cheap. So, I may not need to call him again for a small thing like that, but I'll sure be calling him for bigger stuff.

I had a blocked drain in the back stairwell of my home and Bill T came to fix the problem. Not only did he find and fix the problem, but leveled the earth around the top of the steps, and went above and beyond the call of duty. He told me, for him: ""It's a badge of honor to do the job right."" I was glad to have found him and highly recommend him to others.

Thorough. Honest. Reliable.
I found this company on Yelp after all the other great reviews and they did not let me down. My home warranty service sent out another plumbing company that was out to pocket a quick service fee, and upcharge me on the side. Unlike those ne'er-do-wells, Bill was able to explain the problem to me in laymen's terms, worked hard at getting the problems resolved, treated my home with great care making sure everything was cleaned up, nothing was tracked in the house, and nothing was unnecessarily poured into the grass. He even made suggestions where I could save money, and who doesn't like that? I've saved his number in my phone, he's officially my go-to-guy!

I was selling my house and the new owner's required the sump pump float to float properly, by the time of the sale. I called my realtor's contractor. He took one look at the sump pump and told me that the whole thing needed to be replaced. He quoted me $680. Keep in mind, I knew that the sump pump was working properly, because I could hear it empty out intermittently during the rains we had. Then I called Bill. I sent him a text of the home inspector's notes and a not-so-clear photo of the sump pump that I'd taken with my phone. He grabbed a float and drove 2 hours to get to my house. After 5 minutes, he told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my sump pump, which was what I'd originally thought, given that it'd never given me problems before. He, then, demonstrated to me, that it was working perfectly. He also told me that it was slightly difficult to push back on home inspectors. In the end, he said he could replace the float and give me the appropriate paperwork to sell the house, or I could tell the inspector that I'd had a professional plumber inspect the sump pump and he'd found nothing wrong with it, but this might lead to numerous phone calls and back-and-forths between the two agents and myself and the buyers. Given the fact that I was on a somewhat tight timeline, and I needed to be out of the house in 4 weeks, I went ahead and replaced the working float anyway, but I'm very glad that he allowed it to be my decision and his prices were very reasonable. I'm so grateful I found an honest professional who knew what he was doing. Not only is Bill an experienced plumber, he's a good person.

When I had a drain back up in the kitchen I first called an organization from Angie's list, but they spent half a day working on it and couldn't fix the problem. They recommended B&C (Bill Taylor). Bill came promptly worked hard, and solved a difficult problem through sheer persistence. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for a GOOD HONEST PLUMBER, please look no further. Bill came and saved me from an excavation that would have cost me thousands of dollars.

I just purchased my home 3 weeks ago and he was the third plumber that came to ""snake"" my line. The plumbers before snaked and said they got everything out of the line, took my money and left. Well, Bill came with his camera and found the issue immediately: dried grout in my pipes. He was very diligent in getting everything out, which proved to be a difficult job. He sat there for 3 hours and tried every method he could and eventually cleared my pipes!!!! I am soooooooooo thankful.

If you want someone that won't rip you off, please use his company.
