I have had them come twice to my house via my home warranty. The first time the tools they used left permanent black skid marks on my tub. My tub has to be reglazed in order to hide them (~$500).

The second time, I had suspected a toilet leak and they said it was not leaking. It absolutely was and I have just kicked off a $15k restoration project (thankfully covered by home insurance) because the leaking toilet was rotting away the foundational joists below my bathroom in the crawl space.

I would not use them again, even if it's through my home warranty and saves me some money in the end.

There is a reason this company has SO MANY bad reviews! Avoid at ALL COSTS!!!
Rude staff, horrible quality, Scammers!!!
Unfortunately, I had to use them because our Condo requires work to go through them.
Long story short... D&B plumbing is a SCAM! Charged me 2 times for the same job (a simple valve replacement) and then claimed that they did work that they did not do. The valve they left as a replacement leaked and was the incorrect valve. I had to have another company come and correct D&B's shoddy work. I received a $1000,00 invoice from D&B for them being in my unit for 30 minutes total and replacing 1 valve.
The other plumber was in my unit for 1 hour and replaced 4 valves including the faulty one provided by D&B and the total bill was $350.00.
Obviously SOMEONE over charged for the shoddy work they did??
Ultimately I paid D&B on 2 invoices they sent one to me and one to the Condo management.
This company is Crooked!!!

We use this company based on our American Home Shield contract with him. The gentleman came to our home was extremely rude no communication. Left saying that he had to order a part which never came back for three weeks when he decided to come back with the thermostat he stated this should be replaced the heater he did not even contact American Home Shield the worst experience we have ever had. this gentleman never communicated at all with my husband bad spiri.

Frankly, if you ever need plumbing done stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. I have American Homeshield insurance and they sent this company out twice. First time when I had a broken water heater... they didn't turn off the water, they just left the water heater leaking so the basement got flooded. The second time they were sent out to fix a toilet clog. They said there was no outside clean out when there is one very visible in the front yard by the front door they walked through. So they said they could not fix the clog without installing a clean out. Tell me, would you ever want to hire them to do anything for you? I hope not!

We've had B & B out several times through our home warranty (AHS). He first replaced our ejector pump when we got water back up from the basement toilet in 2019. It took about 10 days from our first appointment for him to get approval from the home warranty, order the new pump, and get it installed. Since then, no issues with the ejector pump. We also had issues with our sump pump and battery back up going off all the time. He came out twice to diagnose and both times it was working well, but he mentioned whomever installed the original pump and back up put them too close together and that was causing the alarm on the back up to go off. It would need to be replaced to fix, but since it was working the warranty co would not cover. Fast forward 1.5 years and the old sump pump finally gave out. He came out next day and agreed the sump, pump was beyond repair and also recommended we consider replacing the battery back up that was set to expire in a fee months. About 2 weeks later he came out to replace the sump pump and battery back up. Came within the anticipated time frame, worked fast, took his shoes off at the door, wore a mask, and was overall professional and polite. Not sure why there are so many poor reviews, but we've been pleased with his services since 2019.

Last Friday on 9/11/20, I contacted American Home Shield (My Home Warranty provider) for a leaky pipe in my basement and was informed that B&B Plumbing (in Chicago) would be in contact with me to schedule service within 24 hours. After 2 days with no contact, I called B&B Plumbing. They have no website and no person answering the phone during business hours and no personal greeting on their voicemail, just a ""beep"").

4 days after my plumbing issue was dispatched to B&B Plumbing, they called to schedule the appointment for the same day. After seeing the problem, they said that they needed to get ""authorization"" to do the repair, and would be back in touch with me that same night to schedule the repair work. Today is Thursday, 2 days after they assessed the problem and I have not heard back and they are unreachable.

So I here I wait for a plumber to fix a leaky pipe, 6 days after I made the initial contact. For the record, American Home Shield (AHS) is just as terrible as B & B Plumbing. They only contract with really shady contractors because they are cheap! I have been a member of AHS for years and the problem is always the same. Horrible (and terribly unprofessional) contractors showing up late and doing lousy work.

I have to admit, the 1-star reviews scared the crap out of me...especially when we received the same 8:30pm phone call mentioned in the other reviews. Would we also have 1-star service?

Our disposal was on the brink for awhile. We actually stopped using it because it was old, and we honestly didn't use it that much to begin with. However, with us not using the disposal, or the right side of our sink much, the lack of use eventually led to a sludge build up and our dishwasher draining poorly. For the record, we hate our Whirlpool dishwasher and will eventually replace it, but we'd rather wait until it breaks down so we can use our home warranty to help us pay for another one. We decided to just deal with the dishwasher drama for a bit, and we put the kitchen to the bottom of our home to-do list.

For my birthday card this year, my hubby handed me a folded up piece of paper with a note on it and told me he made me a card. The paper was actually a receipt from our home warranty provider for $100. He paid to get someone out to fix the disposal (and hopefully eliminate anymore dishwasher drama). LOL! My hubby has a great sense of humor.

We received an 8:30pm call one night from Val (I think that's his name), and he arranged for a day to come to our home between 1-3pm. He arrived by 3pm and gave the disposal an assessment. He agreed it was very old (in truth it was), and said he'd put a call in to get us a replacement. A couple days later, he already had a disposal for us and arranged to come out again, with a two-hour window. He came back out on a Saturday (during Labor Day weekend), and arrived between 1-3pm. He got right to work, and I felt terrible, because it turned out the sink was really stinky when he took everything apart (especially when he found a really old straw with sludge on it that somehow fell into the drain). At one point he left his tools and ran to the hardware store to get a part to get the hoses and pipes all connected properly. He finally got the disposal installed and also ran the dishwasher to make sure everything was connected and working properly. Guess what? All systems seem to be working, and he instructed us to keep the water flowing in the right side of our sink to make sure things aren't getting backed up. When he was finished, he handed us the warranty for the disposal and a paper so we could sign off on the work he did.

Val arrived when he said he would. He came wearing a mask and took his shoes off at the door. He was very friendly and hard working. I'm not sure about the other reviews, but we had an absolutely perfect experience!

Needed a kitchen sink replaced for my niece because she was closing on her house. Found B&B Plumbing on Angie's List. She scheduled with Bill and even re-arranged her schedule, but he never showed up or responded to phone calls or texts. Very unprofessional and would never use this company again.
