Having been a plumber for most of my life, I started at 16, taking on challenging plumbing jobs. I consider myself fortunate to have learned the trade from someone passionate about plumbing and skilled in the craft, Juan J. Vega. As my uncle and manager, he provides invaluable support, especially since my military commitments often keep me away from the business. Thus, I know that when I’m not present, my cousins and customers are in capable hands under my uncle’s supervision.

I never knew dealing with a plumber could be so easy! I expected to wait 3 days before a grizzled old crank deigned to show up and take all of my money for some imaginary extra problem.
I called Bayshore pretty late in the day but our issue wasn't an emergency so I set up a next-day appointment with a two-hour window.
I was hanging out at home to wait and the tech, Michael, called to say he could come a bit earlier if it was convenient for me, which was awesome. He was super polite and friendly, explained what he was going to do, fixed the issue quickly, suggested ways we could help prevent the problem in the future, and was on his way. Awesome service all around.
Brendan C.Bayshore Plumbing managed to get everything right!
We had a full blockage in our main sewer pipe, so running any water in the house caused backup into the tub--dishwasher, washing machine, sinks, everything.
Two other companies wanted us to wait anywhere from 1-4 days before they could get to us. The dispatcher at Bayshore told us they couldn't schedule us until 4PM-6PM, but that they might get to us earlier. Victor actually showed up before 2, since he was able to fit us in between calls.
First, he snaked the main pipe from the access port on the back of the house, but his 100-foot snake didn't reach the block (!!!!). So he found the manhole cover to the sewer main, climbed in there, and snaked it from the other end. The whole time, he was smart, polite, efficient, and explained everything he was doing. And did a very good job containing and cleaning up the mess from opening the clean-out pipe!
Very positive experience with Bayshore, and would recommend them to anybody in the lower Peninsula area.
Miguel was very friendly and professional, like he was talking to family not just a potential customer. He listened to me and said he would send somebody out right away.. He came toilet was leaking replaced the flapper
My water bill was awful !!! He was in and out within 30 minutes charged me for parts and has earned a new lifetime customer, Bravo for local family businesses. !!!!!!

Beware of ""Bayshore Plumbers"" in Menlo Park. It is my opinion that they do not carry out ethical business practices. Three weeks ago I was told of a water leak under my mobile home. I call a local repairman, whom I had used in the past. He could not help me but recommended ""Bayshore Plumbers"" as they re-pipe mobile homes and due to the age of my home I should consider it. I made the call and Gary showed up a day later. I asked him if he could find and fix the leak today and I could have the home re-piped later that week. Gary looked for the source of the leak but was unable to find it after cutting several holes in my vapor barrier leaving them exposed. He then gave me an estimate for the re-pipe ($3200.00) and a new 40-gallon water heater ($1350.00) plus a new shower handle ($350.00) total $4900.00 less $260.00 (10% discount on labor). The total came to $4690.00. I asked if he worked for Bayshore, which he replied yes, but he also had his own company. I enquired about the necessary permits for the work, which he replied, ""That would cost more money""
I decided to check the Internet for any reviews on Bayshore Plumbers in Menlo Park. Although there were more good reviews than bad they seemed reliable. I also located their web page, which contained information on mobile homes re-piping. The info page stated that to re-pipe a ""double wide"", 2-bathroom mobile home started at $2250.00. I then rechecked the estimate to see why there was a big difference between the web page and the estimate Gary gave me. I then noticed that the totals he wrote didn't match the $4690.00 the total should have been $4640.00.
When they arrived the morning to perform the work I saw that they had brought a 38-gallon water heater to install instead of a 40-gallon (they were charging me for a 40-gallon heater (bait and switch). I told them I was charged for a 40-gallon heater and expected a 40-gallon. The worker's reply was ""this is what they give us when we ask for a 40-gallon. The price difference between a 40-gallon and 38-gallon heater is around $300.00.
When Gary finally arrived I asked him about the vast difference between the $2250 price and the $3200 he quoted me. He explained that my house was ""bigger"" than others even though my mobile is a ""standard size"". I don't believe it is a $1,000.00 dollars bigger. I then asked about the water heater. Gary explained that although the box said 40-gallons on it, it's a new type. It is in fact 38-gallon with a space inside that takes up the other 2-gallons. Gary could see I was not happy with the answers so he offered to take off $500.00. I did not feel comfortable at this point and didn't want shabby work so we settled on giving me the shower handle free.
After they had started working Gary told me he had to leave and go to the doctor, leaving his workman there to finish the job. His cousin would arrive later to help finish. Halfway through the job they ran out of materials and had to go to the local ""box store"" for more. This job called for installing new pipes, new shut-off valves and hoses and connecting the new pipe to the shower faucets in both bathrooms. They cut a hole in one of the walls, ""nicking"" an electrical 120-volt wire in the process, to gain access to the shower. After cutting the hole they discovered that they couldn't get to the faucets to replace the pipe. Plus the access panel they were providing didn't fit the hole they had made. In the other bathroom they couldn't access the tub faucets and made an unnecessary hole in my new vinyl floor. Final results...old pipe still attached to both faucets.
The cousin arrived and helped the other worker finish the job in almost 1 day's time. I asked about repairing/replacing the damaged vapor barrier and was quoted another $1,500.00 to fix it.
After I paid the bill that day I called the office a week later to obtain a receipt showing amount paid in full. I spent 10 minutes on the phone with the billing department explaining my E-mail address to them. To date (2 weeks later) I have not received anything from the company.
I'm sorry I did not check out other companies first but with the leak I felt time was not on my side. To bad!
Called them for a hot water heater 4:30 on Halloween, Friday nite(referred by a very reputable a plumbing company in Menlo park who doesn't work weekends),, they wanted to come out ASAP, but it was Halloween so we scheduled for Saturday 1-3. They were here 12:50, early, gave me a run down on what would be needed for the replacement and a price at about what I expected. They were done in a little over 2 hours. Cleaned up got paid and left. Very happy with the service, promptness an the hot water..would certainly are recommend this company
My toilet was making weird noises, wouldn't flush right, and was leaking. Manuel took less than 15 minutes to assess the problem and less than an hour to replace the toilet. I'm very grateful to him and would recommend his services to anyone who has any type of plumbing problem. Fast service, reasonable price.
Tim M.I called these people based on the good reviews that I read here on Yelp. They told me they would have someone at my house between 3 and 5 in the afternoon. At 5:15, I called the office and was told the truck must be stuck in traffic. No apology. I think they couldn't care less if they got my business or not.
Justin S.I called them based on all of the great reviews after my toilet backed up into my bathtub. The lady I spoke to was very nice and even stated this was an emergency situation and would make it a priority (which it was given I have a 2yr old, a pregnant wife, and only 1 bathroom). She said someone would be calling me on my cell with an ETA on when they would be out well.........I never got a call from anyone. And a toddler and pregnant wife with no bathroom is not a nice situation. After 2 hours I called Pro Roto Inc and within 15 min they were there and 30 minutes after that I had functioning pipes.
And no they never called at all.
Called them to get estimates on water heater replacement, faucet repairs, leak into crawlspace. Was told my place is out of their service area, although I'm in the unincorporated part of a town adjacent to Redwood City. I ended up calling their competitors.
I found them on Angies list and Yelp and called them to stop the foghorn noise that happened every time I flushed the toilet.
the plumber who came was very young and very professional. He heard the noise from the toilet and went under the house to see if he could isolate the problem. He then went outside to our main water service.
He said if we were to change our main valve to a new blade type and that would stop the noise.
He said his firm does not go with T&M but a fixed price.
I agreed to the price and he did change out the valve and did a beautiful job on the copper soldering.
HOWEVER THE NOISE DID NOT GO AWAY.
He came back on Monday and tried turning off all the valve stops to all toilets and then turned them on but the toilets still made the foghorn noise.
The plumber was very young and I did not have confidence that he had the experience to fix our problem as he kept calling his shop for advice.
I had asked that the plumber send a more experienced colleague on Monday to give another look around and find a solution but the dispatcher would not do so. He just said they called other plumbers and had no answer.
As a result I am out the $685 to replace a valve that worked fine and still have the problem.
The young plumber was very professional, identified himself and wore booties when in the house but could not fix my problem.
I would not call them back again for service.
