Although we'll meaning, Tommy came out for a $69 trip charge and clearly didn't understand the unique water heater we have. He didn't offer to do a diagnostic as his boss later argued he had. He simply said we needed to replace 2 parts for $450 just judging from the loud booms we heard it making prior to his arrival. This was a waste of money as we learned nothing of value from his trip. Afterward, I called his boss to figure out the next steps and he made several statements about what had happened that were false. He simply wanted to come out for over $200 to make a diagnosis. What a waste of money and time.

Expensive. They will charge for everything including site visit and diagnosis. They don't even gaurantee their own work because they charge you for any follow-up visit. There are better plumbers you can find. Avoid.

Very bad experience. Got a Rinnai water heater installed through them and just in 1 year started facing error code 11 issue. Called them to check. And I was charged a lot just for an initial diagnosis which ended with pointing to PGE gas pressure. Later I got PGE to replace Gas meter and PGE confirmed gas pressure was good and error 11 code was internal to the heater. When I reached out to Bay Water again, I didn't get any response. This time I got another company to visit and check the issue - very different experience as diagnosis was free and they could very quickly identify the issue to be with ignition assembly which Rinnai tech support agreed to replace. I wasted a lot of time and money when faced with real issues with Rinnai water heater.

Our tankless water heater stopped working and made noise. I had to work so my wife called the manufacturer and they gave us a list of plumbers. This outfit is the closest so she called. Plumbing came promptly. It took a total of some 20 minutes to look at it, open and cleaned it and the charge was $440!! Normally when repair is done the service call charge is waived. In this case it was also added. Bill says ""Tankless Water Heater Diagnosis Level 4"". Clearly the diagnosis was nowhere near a ""level 4"", whatever it meant, as it took but a few minutes. And the rest took maybe 15 minutes, which consisted of (written on the bill) ""cleaned and lubricated venturi with WD40"".
At least the unit is working now so 2* instead of 1*.

We had a new water heater, a part had to be replaced, and luckily went through warranty. I called as soon as I received the part. A technician was able to come out within a couple of hours. They quickly did the repair and everything is back to normal. They're very friendly and efficient.

Tankless water heater started having errors everyday so I called and had Al come out to diagnose the problem. It turns out I have a couple potentially bad components so he took care of ordering parts from their distributor and Al was upfront about all costs and timeline. It was fixed on the timeline quoted and less costly than replacing the whole heater. Now the water heater performs better than ever.

Just horrible, technician broke filter of water heater because of which I didn't have hot water for couple of days and when technician arrive with the part he charged for the part.

Our water heater's pilot light kept going out, resulting in multiple cold shower experiences, so we chose Bay Water Plumbing to fix it, based on their high Yelp rating. We ultimately decided to replace the water heater instead of repairing it, since it was an older unit anyways. Alvarro gave me a fair replacement offer and was able to install the new unit later on the same day. It's been working great for over a month now and no problems. It's more common to get burned by dishonest plumbers than to find a plumber with good moral integrity. Alvarro and Francisco at Bay Water Plumbing have proven themselves to be a great choice when seeking a plumber you can trust and I'm a happy customer. Thanks guys!

My water heater stopped working, I called several places and I was offered appointments two to three days. When I called Bay Water Plumbing they came within 30 minutes. Ordered the parts which were recalled from the factory. After a few days the parts arrived, they sent their excellent technician and my heater was working within an hour. Great job.
