Called Tony Damele, the owner of Bay Star Plumbing, to see if he could do the plumbing work on my place and the time on his schedule. He said it sounded like a project he would be interested in and that he did have time on his schedule the following month. Per his request, I sent him a scope of work and the architectural plans. After he reviewed the info, he said he was interested and made an appointment to inspect the property. After taking time off of work to meet him at the property, I asked how long it would take him to generate an estimate and he said ""a couple of days."" About 10 days later, I emailed him to see how the estimate was coming along but didn't reply. Two days later I called him and he said he didn't have time for the job. When I asked why he didn't reply to my email he hung up on me! Sending me a simple email at the time he decided that he was no longer interested would have shown he had some respect for my time. In my 15+ years of working with contractors, if they don't have this basic consideration for potential customers then it's a serious red flag.

Tony is a pro. Fast, clean, efficient, considerate. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. He replaced my hot water heater and removed the old one. He was in and out within an hour. On top of his chops, he is a nice dude. I highly recommend him.

Tony responded and he came the next day after our 20+ years old water tank started leak. We replaced with a new tankless water heater and he gave me a quote over the text and also he looked up different sizes for our big family. It looks really nice and clean. He also had a very reasonable pricing although I didn't really price shop too muchbut went with other's review since I wanted make sure we have reliability and quick replacement.

I had a water heater leak and needed a replacement for the old unit. Contacted Tony and he was responsive and did show up on time with the new water heater that I requested. He also did a great job installing the unit. Well deserved 5 stars !

I sent out a bunch of quote requests for a job I needed done. Tony was quick to respond but I'll admit I was waiting for responses from companies that had more yelp reviews. Tony's reviews were great but he just didn't have that many in general. After receiving multiple responses that either other companies were booked out too far or wouldn't take a small job like mine, I was impressed with how Tony kept messaging me and pursuing my business. I thought I'd give him a try since he was the only one that seemed to want the business and I wanted to get this done. I'm glad I did. He gave me a quote, told me he'd come and do the job as soon as I had the time, came out as promised, and quickly did the work he promised within the proposed budget. After the work was done, I called him back to check on something (nothing was wrong it just needed to be checked) and he came out immediately and took care of it.

In addition, he was also on the cheaper end of the quotes I did receive and he made this whole thing totally painless for me.

I gave Tony 5 stars because he really valued my business, did everything he said he would, and the work itself seemed to be solid. He gave me a reasonable price and most importantly, there were no headaches! I don't even write yelp reviews but I don't want him to miss out on business from people like me, who admittedly put a little too much stock in the number of yelp reviews someone has.
