Replaced water heater, fixed gas leak and exhaust on dryer.
Micky was always prompt and responsive whether on phone or in person. Carefully evaluated my old water heater before determining that it needed to be replaced. He offered me a few different options, clearly explaining pros and cons without leading me towards those that would provide him the best profit - a welcome change from my last few interactions with service professionals.
Was overall professional, friendly and thorough. I'd definitely call him again if need plumbing work.

I was fairly apprehensive when my home warranty company (Fidelity) assigned Micky to fix my leaky kitchen drainage pipe. It was a challenging job, and I had read the less-than-stellar reviews. I figured Micky was going to come out, quickly assess the situation and charge his $55 (the Fidelity co-pay), and then take off and leave me in a lurch.
Instead, Micky did a very thorough and careful job. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem, carefully removed a wall, cut out the leaky section of old pipe, cleaned out the rest of the pipe, and then installed new pipe to replace the old section. He far exceeded my expectations. On top of that, Micky gave me some great suggestions for maintaining my plumbing in good condition in the future.
I'm giving him 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons: i) my expectations were super-low going into this. He made me a believer in the Fidelity Home Warranty program again. ii) He didn't do a great job cleaning up after himself. But I'd be happy to use Micky again, and rank him as high as any plumbers I've worked with.

My home warranty company sent these guys to clear a drain blockage. The guy said he needed an access point called a clean out to use the rooter. After searching for it for several minutes, he claimed we would need to install one.
We saw another review here on Yelp, which described an incompettent plumber from this company, and decided to get a second opinion:
We called RotoRooter. We asked him about the clean out - he said he could use the rooter through a drainage hole in the floor. Then after looking for ~30 seconds, he found the clean out.
Bay Rooter is probably getting business by offering a ""cheap"" service to the home warranty company. I'm not sure whether they suggesting these extra services to make some extra money or this is just incompetence. Either way, AVOID!

My home warranty people sent them out to fix a leaky faucet. The guy who arrived from Bay Rooter & Plumbing was very nice and professional. After poking around he told me that the water to the building would need to be shut off to complete the repair. We scheduled him to come back at a time when all of my neighbors wouldn't mind having no water.
On the day of the shutoff we went to the garage and he turned off the water. Then the water heater started making noise. When I asked him if that was normal he looked worried and hurriedly turned the water back on. He called the warranty people who then called me and told me that the plumber did not feel comfortable working with the water heater, and that the repair was not covered under my policy.
(As an aside, I want to say that I appreciate very much when a professional knows the boundaries of his/her expertise. This is especially true when it involves a large gas heated water heater.)
Something seemed strange to me so I pressured the warranty people to send someone else and give me a second opinion - when the other company arrived the other plumber took one look at the leaky faucet and asked which plumbers came out before. When I said ""Bay Rooter"" he just shook his head in disapproval. Evidently the water to the building didn't need to be shut off at all! It was a 15-minute repair to replace a leaky cartridge and the faucet had its own water shutoff valve.

I was with Fedility National home warranty and they contracted Bay Rooter and Plumbing to replace my garbage disposal. A few month later, we found water leaking out of our dishwasher. We never used the dishwasher. We tried to use it and it worked fine. Water all gone. But a couple of weeks later, there was a pond of water in the dishwasher again. kitchen sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher or function properly, so I thought there might be some problem with the installation that cause the water to leak into the dishwasher. Called bay rooter and plumbing and this guy was affirmative that there's nothing wrong with the installation and he said he could bet his life on it. I asked him what the problem is then and he threw me a whole bunch of crap that doesn't make any sense. Basically he's denying any liability.
Never will use their service again.

I own a home in Bernal Heights that has a home warranty included with it. We had a problem with the water heater, and the warranty company assigned Bay Rooter. They weren't able to make the repair because of some issues with the Warranty company. Fine. I then wanted to go back to them directly and have a bid for the work directly from them. I called them on Wednesday and left a VM. No call back. I called on Thursday and talked to the receptionist who apologized profusely and promised that someone would call me back. No call back. I called Friday and got the receptionist again. ""He hasn't called back because he's so busy. I will contact him and one of us will call you today, even if it's just to say we can't take the business."" No call back. 3 strikes, you're out.
