In the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, our bathroom sink pipe broke and water was leaking all over the floor. With trepidation to let a plumber in, Tony reassured us he was taking precautions-gloves, booties, a mask, which he put on before entering, and texted us what time he was coming. He clearly explained his price for labor ahead of time, and determined upon inspection that a part underneath the sink was broken. He had the part available in his truck, so he didn't need to go out to other stores. He is sweet, polite, and efficient and fixed the problem in about an hour with a 30-day guarantee on his labor. I was impressed with his calm demeanor and recommend that if you have an emergency situation and need a plumber, you should call Tony at Bay Plumbing during this time of Coronavirus.

Tony and his crew came by to install an earthquake shutoff valve on the natural gas line coming into my house. They also handled several other neighbors' homes on the same day. Antonio is absolutely wonderful, professional, extremely responsive, so friendly and very knowledgeable. And he does great work. We had a sump pump go down during the last rain and it caused major flooding in our basement. I called and he came out the next morning. He installed a new pump right away. Just tonight, we noticed that the pump was constantly going and I was afraid that the motor would burn out. I texted to schedule for tomorrow, and he texted right back saying he'll be at my house in 30 min. Turned out that there was a rock stuck under the pump base. He fixed it and now it's good to go.

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Tony and Bay Plumbing when I moved to Berkeley a few years ago. I've needed to call on Bay Plumbing several times now and each time Tony has been easy to reach by phone and text and was quick and punctual. Twice Tony found affordable fixes to problems I was expecting would call for expensive replacements of a toilet and sink.

Recently, when I learned rats were entering my home through a broken sewer line, Tony came on short notice early on a Saturday morning to help us with the tricky detective work of finding exactly where the broken pipe was and then finding just the right part to seal it up.

Once again Tony's was knowledgeable and the charges for this work felt more than fair to me. Tony is great to work with and I feel fortunate to have found him and Bay Plumbing.

I don't usually post reviews, but I had to for Bay Plumbing. About 1.5 months ago, I had a sewer main backup. When I made an appointment with Tony, I had no idea how bad it was. It turned out that my basement toilet had sewage flooding out of it due to the backed-up main. Not only did Tony and his colleague assess the extent of the back-up immediately, he and his staff took the entire afternoon to carefully examine and clear the drains throughout the property to understand how these old pipes (house was built in the 20's) were connected.
They also efficiently cleaned out the disgusting toilet, removed and disposed of it, and then cleaned up the bathroom, and put in a new toilet. They even came back the next day with a specialist to visually inspect the inside of the sewer main with a camera to determine whether the pipe was damaged, in order to understand whether damage caused the back-up.
Tony and his staff were patient, considerate, knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and very professional. Although they spent many hours over a 2-day period to do all of this work, they charged a very reasonable price for all of the work.
Tony even stayed behind after hours of grueling work to patiently answer all of my landlady's questions about replacing the sewer lateral and the runoff pipes to meet specs. I HIGHLY recommend Tony and his group for any of your plumbing needs!
