I had a clay sewer line connecting to the city sewer that was periodically infected by tree roots and causing clogging in the entire house. I got several quotes to replace the sewer using a trenchless technique. Sean's quote was the best and after receiving great review on him from Nextdooor.com I contracted him for the job. Sean arrived as promised, communicated clearly about the scope of the job, got all the required permits from the city, performed the job flawlessly and left the place as clean and neat as he found it. If you need a thenchless sewer care, he is the best and I highly recommend him! --Simon
Wilson Y.Sean gave me a good price, didn't try to upsell me on anything, and stuck to his original quote despite encountering some unexpected things along the way.
A couple of other firms had been here a few days before and told me that I absolutely had to replace the gas lines, and I absolutely had to replace all of the drain lines under my house. Sean crawled under my house to take a look, and he found nothing terribly wrong.
You can trust Sean to not fleece you or take you for a ride.
Sean replaced our old clay sewer line which was leaking badly and chronically plugged with roots. The line was 87 feet long, but he only had to dig holes at the ends and where there were lateral attachments to the line. He did a thorough inspection with a good camera before he started digging. They crew did the work on schedule and for the amount quoted. Price quoted was inline with other quotes received. He handled the San Jose permits and passed inspection. Communication was clear throughput. Now we have a new sewer line that doesn't leak, minimal impact to the landscaping and proper clean-outs installed. Very satisfied.
Perfect execution! Excellent installation! Low tech essentials! High tech implementation! Drain pipe, tree root permanent solution. Hallelujah! Praise The Lord!
Sean replaced the 4"" clean out, 65 feet of underground pipe and installed the property line clean out for $4400. Rescue Rooter wanted almost $10,000 for just the pipe and property line clean out. I paid almost $4000 to the same company two years ago just for the 4"" clean out. The job passed the Campbell city inspector so I assume it was done correctly.
I would highly recommend this company.
We hired Sean Fry, Bay Area Trenchless, because of the outstanding reviews here on Yelp. He has almost 25 years of experience. Sean fry did an excellent job pipebursting our house. He did such a good job that even Union Sanitary District said it was ""beautiful"". He took care of getting the permits and even scheduling the inspections. He stayed on schedule and on costs. He kept the property neat and clean. He is reliable and trustworthy. He is easy to work with. We highly highly recommend him to everyone. If you need trenchless work. Call Sean Fry. He is your man.
Ron G.Sean came out and replaced my sewer line, and switched me from my old septic to the city and did a fantastic job. It was quite a job getting from the back of my house, under my house, and then out to the street on a very long, sloped, driveway. Since the whole thing was trenchless it actually saved us quite a bit since we did not have to tear up our landscaping or repave our driveway. Sean handled all the permits and city negotiations (which was tricky since our connection to the city was non-standard and needed some extra approvals. What is even better is that since then when I have had questions or needed additional line work (our setup is very old) Sean has always been quick to help out in any way he can. I cannot recommend his service enough.
We had a persistent problem with roots growing into our sewer line for the last 10-15 years. Two or three times a year water would backup into the house and we would have to get it cleaned out.
Bay Area Trenchless replaced the sewer line from our house to the property line (about 50 feet) using the trenchless method. An old cleanout in the middle of the old line (not to code) was replaced with new two new cleanouts at the house and property line (brought up to code). It only required digging two holes in the yard and did not damage our old sidewalk.
I am very happy with my experience with Sean of Bay Area Trenchless. I called him to request a bid. He did not require that I be home to meet him since he could inspect the sewer line without entering the house. He came by the same day while I was at work and emailed a bid that evening. It was about half the price of the first bid I had received for trenchless replacement.
The bid was so much lower that I followed up to make sure it included everything from the first bid but he assured me that it did. About a week later I accepted his bid and he scheduled to start the next morning. He showed up right on time at 7:30am before I left for work. He completed the job the same day before I came home.
Everything looked great. Other than the 2 new cleanouts there was not much evidence that he had been there. Everything was cleaned up. He restored the grass around the new cleanout. He placed a circular cutout of grass from the new cleanout where the old cleanout had been removed. He even used some extra dirt to fill in an unrelated depression in the easement near the new cleanout. He obtained a permit from Sunnyvale and got it signed off.
All in all it required very little time and effort on my part and no inconvenience since the job was completed in one day while I was at work. I'm sure the other company would have done a good job as well for twice the price, but I can't imagine it would have been much better than Bay Area Trenchless.
David F.I work in Morgan Hill and have always gotten excellent feedback after recommending Sean to clients. In addition, I have hired him to do work on my own house. Sean is reliable, knowledgeable, & most of all he is trustworthy. His prices are very fair and he's always proved himself to be professional & honest. I highly recommend Sean for anything relating to underground, whether it involves trenching or not.
Recently I had a recent sewer line back up and called a plumbing company to deal with the immediate problem--But they said they were ""unable to clear the line"" and tried to upsell more expensive services. Luckily I was armed with my neighborhood referrals and contacted Sean Fry of Bay Area Trenchless, who has been replacing sewer lines in our Mountain View neighborhood for years and comes highly recommended by neighbors. He came out and easily cleared the line within 15 minutes. When the line cleared so quickly, the other company's actions and intentions became glaringly apparent.
On the other hand, Sean Fry was great -- because it was already on the TO DO list, he replaced the line the following day (with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor) -- at less than 1/2 the price of the other company. Trenchless is definitely the way to go -- the pipe was replaced in a day with just 2 small sections dug in my yard! He's efficient, easy to work with and I especially appreciated the care he took with my recently landscaped yard and newly placed drip lines. And even better--you can't tell there was work done. My yard looks just as it did before the line was replaced--so for me, a job well done! And Sean can add me to his long list of happy customers.
