If I would have written this review in August 2018, I would have given this company more stars but now here I am in January 2019 & I have the same problem that I originally called about.
Just beware of what he says needs to be done & what actually should also be done. He will become defensive if you have a question. The work he did in August was satisfactory but when 5 months later, you are back to square one, well then, in my opinion, it wasn't originally done right.
He will always have an answer & will talk down to you if his work is called into question.
Live & learn I guess. I would not recommend Ron.

Our water heater broke and started leaking all over our kitchen late on a Tuesday night and I was able to get in contact with Ron even though it was extremely late. He was able to give me a quote right then and there and was also able to make it out to install a new water heater the next morning. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and kept me well informed with everything he was seeing and doing while doing the work. I asked a lot of questions and he answered them with great detail and never seemed bothered or pestered by all my questioning. He did a great job and got us up and running with a new water heater quickly and was very considerate of keeping our home area clean after all the work was done. His pricing was more than fair and he did great work!

I had used Bay Area Plumbing before, so when I needed my toilet fixed, I called them (via 510-938-0693.) I was given an appointment of 7:00a the following morning. This is a long time before I get up, so when I was asked if I'd like a call to let me know they were on their way, I said no, just arrive and give me a minute to answer the door.
When no one showed up, I called them at 9:15a. I was told they'd cancelled my appointment. When I asked why no one had called to let me know, he told me that he didn't call because ""You told me not to call."" The call/not call question had been specific: I don't need you to call me to let me know you are on your way, which common sense tells one is an entirely different level of urgency than ""We're not going to make it."" I think ""Ron"" knew this full well because when I told him I felt not calling his cancellation was poor judgment, he immediately told me that if I was going to question his judgment, he couldn't take my job. Well, he was right about that.

I've had constant dripping in my shower the past few months and I finally had enough. I gave BAP a call and they were able to come by the next day I was off and fix it! Pricing was very reasonable and I had them take a look at at the rest of my bathroom while they were here and Ron gave me some great advice as to where to go to purchase new faucets and who to talk to. I'm glad I found them, it's hard finding people you can trust.
