Berkeley Home Repair was super responsive, professional and efficient throughout the entire project! I am a realtor and used them to do some final projects in order to maximize the homes value for my clients. Projects included exterior power wash and paint.. interior touch up paint, new skylights, new furnace and a couple other small projects. These amazing people replaced a toilet in a rental unit in California while I was in Scotland!

I bought the toilet online at HomeDepot, Berkeley Home Repair picked it up, I explained the process to the tenants, I provided the door code, they installed it and sent pics, I paid online (all in all less than the previous company charged to just REPAIR the toilet), I was happy, they were happy, tenants happy. Why can't everything be this easy?

I emailed Berkeley Home repair and got a same day response. The work was scheduled for two days out and completed professionally and efficiently. This is a very trustworthy and reliable company, reasonably priced too. Pricing also feels very straightforward. They installed a bathroom light to my cottage, fixed the electrical supply to my cottage (which was completely out) and moved/installed an outside light as well as replaced some faulty outlets. Damon was in constant contact with me about the work because I could not be home to even show them what needed to be done; I described it all over the phone and text and he kept in touch with updates and questions throughout the day.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Extremely happy with Berkeley Home Repair! I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, pronto!! Not a big job but one I could not do myself. Found them here on YELP and as it was stated, they responded back within 10 minutes! Wow!! Such a prompt response is quite a rarity these days, and the rest of the interaction was just as smooth.

They were able to squeeze me same day (another wow!). They were on time, courteous and professional. They can handle projects of all sizes, and while I don't often have 'large jobs', it's even more comforting to know I can depend on them to help me with everyday projects, which do seem to come up quite often, and unexpectedly.

Berkeley Home Repair fixed a pier under my house and installed earthquake bracing around the entire foundation. Brian and JMark started on time, worked late, and got the job done in less than two days. They never complained about the conditions (muddy tight crawlspace) and were very conscientious about cleaning up. Great attitude. I will be sure to hire them again since home repair never ends and it's nice to work with a company that does what they say and doesn't look for ways to increase your bill.

I was quite pleased with the efficiency, effort, and timeliness of the repairs and upgrades to my 2 1/2 baths which included all new ceiling fans (two of which had to be installed through the attic), one vanity lighting installation, two new shower heads, new towel racks, two upstairs toilets with noisy flushing issues needing repairs and one toilet flapper replacemnet, a bathroom sink faucet screen replacement, and a bathtub shower diverter valve rebuild and knob upgrade. These repairs were long overdue, and I searched for a complany that could provide all of the work, not just some of the plumbing or some of the electrical. Brian, from Berkeley Home Repair, was able to complete all of the work that I needed done. This family owned business is serious about their work, their company, and their reputation, and will do all that is needed to make sure their work is exemplary and their customers are satisfied. My selection of Berkeley Home Repair was based on the excellent YELP reviews from satisfied customers, and their range of work. After talking to Damon over the phone and via email and other modes of communication media, and speaking with Brian as he was here completing the jobs, both were found to be courteous and knowledgable, and deserving of well-earned excellent ratings and referral.

Middle of a heat-wave on a Sunday and our breaker went out. Called Damon and after explaining the problem after I had already done some basic trouble shooting on my own and he was patient in explaining the issue with a few other options to check. After a few phone call back and forth we were able to fix the issue without calling in an emergency electrician. This could have gone very differently for companies trying to make as much per point of contact. I will be calling them soon for a bid on a bathroom remodel, because that is how you conduct business.

The lights in my daughter's one-year-old ceiling fan suddenly failed--right in the middle of her urgent Finals Week studies. Reading the great reviews other customers gave Berkeley Home Repair (BHR), I took a chance and called them to schedule a service call; owner, Damon, set me up for the next day. The repair technician, Brian--who I soon learned is also Damon's brother--arrived ahead of schedule, and he promptly got to work troubleshooting our issue. Brian soon zeroed in on a bad ""resistor"" in the fan assembly's light box. My wife had previously ordered a new ceiling fan as a replacement ""just in case""; so Brian offered to either switch out that assembly's light box, or replace the old, existing fan entirely. I chose the latter option, and Brian had the replacement installed within about 20 minutes. Even better, Brian whisked away all the old parts and packaging to save me valuable space in my waste/recycling bins. I'm very pleased with BHR's--and technician Brian's--prompt, friendly service. (I only wish I'd been better prepared to discuss Brian's other apparent ""specialty"": Stephen King novels!)

My wife and I will definitely call Berkeley Home Repair the next time a home maintenance issue arises (as they seem to, regularly!) around our house. Thank you, BHR!

1st review ever, but had to write one because Damon deserves 5 stars alone for outstanding customer service.
Long story short called a bunch of services to ask if they had technician avail to unclog a sink drain. Everyone including Damon didn't seem to have anyone available, however Damon calls me back with a different company I should try. And low and behold I have a technician coming out today!
So thank you Damon! If I have any future problems I will definitely call you first.
