Just called to ask for an estimate and the guy spoke so nasty to me on the phone then asked if we used them before and said he charges 85$ to come out. When i said I was going to call back he hung up the phone on me. Left a bad taste in my mouth just thinking how nasty he was with me.

Unbelievable job--meaning I was truly taken--as in really fleeced. Baumbach indeed did what I needed to have done--replace a toilet flange. I made it easy for them. I removed the toilet, cleaned off the wax ring, prepped the area, and made it simple for the plumber to simply replace the flange. I made sure to arrange the job during normal business hours on a Monday so I would get billed 'afterhour' rates. 20 mins later, wha la! The job was done, and my wife was billed $475. I did not realize plumbers now get nearly $1,000/hr for their labor. To make matters worse, the plumber said I had the wrong $3 flapper in the bowl. You'd think for $475, he would at least leave knowing the toilet was completely fixed. My mistake was leaving my wife alone with this outfit--who threaten near $100 non-refundable 'diagnostic' fees. She felt stuck paying the $475 or losing $100. I WILL NOT use this plumber again, and WILL NOT recommend them.

Ok, first of all, let me say how particular (picky, really) I am of plumbers and other contractors, handymen, etc who do work on my house. With that said, I must admit that I have not been disappointed with this company.I have used Baumbach Plumbing several times. They are family owned and operated, professional and friendly. They return calls promptly and show up on time (a plus in my book). I've always been charged by the job, NOT by the hour (confused about other review). Mr. Andy and Toney were upfront and honest about what did and didn't need repairing/replacing, thus saving me $$, which I appreciated. When I did need to replace something, Mr. Andy took the time to go through his plumbers book and show me which was the least expensive. He could've just said ""You need this one."" How would I have known the difference, really? Well, I try to be as detailed as possible in any review that I give. I hope this helps make up your mind if you're in need of a plumber. You won't be disappointed.
