We were right to be suspicious of a plumber who would only perform services on a ""time and material"" basis. When we requested a bid for moving the hot water heater, he stopped returning our calls. He even kept the shower valve he was trying to ""match."" Both BAUMAN brothers are feuding: use one and the other will not serve you. TERRIBLE..TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE.

I went to Larry on recommendations of friends, and was I sorry!
My deceased Father's house needed a new toilet or a fix on an old one. After 3 months, yes months!, I told him give me the parts and I'll go elsewhere. So I did. New toilet ordered at under $500, no big renovation needed, as Larry implied .
Apparently if one doesn't actually live in Algoma , one isn't important enough to have his attention!
Now I won't have to deal with this husband/wife team not answering my calls or texts either!

Once again Larry has done an outstanding job. We had to have our underground water line and old sewer pipe replaced. He got the job done in a day, He had to drop what he had planned for that day to do our job because the contractor doing the digging decided to do the dig with only a two day warning. This is why I'll always go back to Larry.

The last time I spoke with Larry I felt that he was a stand up guy. But now I have a different opinion. I called at the beginning of September and asked for a call back for an estimate on a new furnace. I never recvd a call back. So I called again and got the wife who was familiar with the message I had left and was down right rude to me. I will never call there again. I was ready to purchase a furnace, no money out of their pocket and was treated like crap.

We had our sump pump quit on us in the middle of the night. We called Larry Baumann Plumbing at 6:50a.m. and they were at our house within the hour, and also completed the repair in an hour. Craig was very knowledgeable and we would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good plumbing service!

Very unprofessional. My furnace stopped working and I called Larry to come look at it because he was the first one I got a hold of. I have never dealt with him before and will never deal with him again.
He showed up fairly quick, I will give him that. He went into the basement and found out what was wrong with the furnace. He told me he did not carry the parts but could order them. I said ok, go ahead. Larry then says it's going to be alot and I don't know if I want to get stuck with the bill for that. I asked what that meant and he says he heard that I was going through a divorce and he was going to get stuck with the bill for fixing the furnace.
I told him that he wasn't going to get stuck with a bill, I would pay it. I do live in the house with my 4 children. He was very rude and said fine, he'd call me the next morning with the cost of the new part and when he could get it in. It has now been over 24 hours since Larry was at my house and I have not heard from him.
So if you want someone to gossip with you about small town talk and then leave you and your kids in a freezing house for days, then definitely call Larry Baumann. He's your man!

We called Larry around 6ish Friday night concerning a foot of standing water in our basement and he responded to our emergency situation early the next morning. This guy is a pro. He took one look at the calf high water, strapped on same ""wader"" type boots and went to work. Larry drained the basement and in no time we had the furnace running and began the process of defrosting the house and drying out the basement. He also has a hat with his name on it. Furthermore, Larry also deals with heating issues, and because our furnace is in our basement this was a real plus. A 'two bird's with one stone' type of plus. He was able to assess issues with our furnace (which thankfully came very near to, but averted irreparable damage) and deal with the water, so that both of the major issues concerning the flood were covered by one expert. If I were ever to find myself again in a similar situation I would call this guy post haste. Seriously, even if I were in Mississippi I would fly him out.
