Called them today for a leaking pipe. I'm out of town but my neighbor whose feeding my cat found the leak. Vladimir came over on his way home from church, shut the water off and will be back tomorrow AM to fix the pipe. I'm very grateful my neighbor found the leak but even more grateful my plumber was here to save my butt once again.

I called hoping to get an estimate on basement bathroom.The person I spoke to said they would make a call and get back to me that day. I never heard from them. I tried calling again the next day and left a message to call me. Again, I never got a return call! I called them originally based on their reviews on Kudzu and being close to my home. I really can't speak on value or quality since I didn't have any work done.

On January 7 we requested Batylin plumbing to come to our home to give us a quote on plumbing services. They told us they would arrive around 4:00 pm, they did not arrive until after 8:00 pm. They looked at our issue and simply said that it would be """"very expensive"""". While the plumber was at our home, he turned part of our water back on (which we had turned off earlier that day) as part of his assessing the situation for our quote. He was at our home less than 10 minutes and did not perform any services. On January 15 Batylin Plumbing e-mailed a bill for $89 to us for their """"services"""". When we requested Batylin to come and give us a quote, they did not disclose this fee during our initial request on the phone or when they arrived over 4 hours late. If they had disclosed this $89 fee we would NOT have requested them to come to our home to give us a quote. The morning of January 16 I spoke with their office representative about this fee. I told her I as disappointed in the fact they did not disclose this $89 fee before hand and that we would not requested a quote from them for $89. At this point I told her that it does not seem even remotely reasonable and that we would not be paying the bill. She became angry and ended the phone call. The afternoon of January 16 we received the following e-mail from Batylin: Dear Mrs. Emily ____, Per our conversation with Andrew ____ today we are re-sending this invoice and demanding the payment due in full. If we do not receive payment, no later than Monday, January 20th, 2014, we will file for Theft of Services against Emily ____ and all legal actions necessary to collect on this payment, and Emily ____, will be held liable for cost to collect this payment. The plumber performed services by turning your water back on, diagnosis leak, turned the water serving the exterior hose bib that was leaking due to the line being burst by the freeze, and re-lite existing water heater; at 8 pm. If you or any parties involved choose to write a bad review we will file for Defamation of Character and Slander and hold you liable for all legal actions necessary and cost involved. Curry Attorney @ Law We replied to the first e-mail from Batytlin as follows: Based on the e-mail below we are very disappointed with how we are being treated by Batylin Plumbing. We would not expect a reasonable company to act in such a fashion. Please note the following facts surrounding the day of January 7, 2014: 1. The service fee of $89 was not discussed or agreed to in writing or verbally. At no time was this fee mentioned to Emily ____ when she requested a plumber it provide a quote on the hot water heater. 2. If said fee was disclosed, we would not have had you come to our home to give a quote for work in the first place. 3. The Batylin plumber that did arrive at our home was 4 hours late from his originally scheduled service time. Batylin at NO time proactively communicated they would be late. Emily ____ had to call multiple times to determine if a plumber was still coming out to give us a quote. 4. No repair/work was performed. Based on the facts above, we have mailed payment for $20 to fully satisfy the account to the following address: Batylin Plumbing Co., Inc. P.O. Box 2015 Kennesaw, GA 30156 We consider this payment to be MORE than fair and equitable based on the facts listed above and the current threats in your e-mail. We do not appreciate these claims and representations. If you pursue this matter further we will be filing suite for unfair trade practices, as well as a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Sincerely, Andrew ____ CC: Roger Curry This check for $20 would equate to a rate of over $80 per hour for the less than 15 minutes the plumber was at our home. Please keep in mind, the plumber has not done anything and we are trying to be fair equitable. After sending them our reply, we received this second e-mail on January 17: Dear Mrs. Emily ____, Per our conversation with Andrew ____ today we are re-sending this invoice and demanding the payment due IN FULL. If we do not receive payment, no later than Monday, January 20th, 2014, we will Lien said property at Address, KENNESAW, GA. We love Batylin Plumbing! Its wonderful to finally have a plumber we can trust to call for anything water or sewer related. They gave us an accurate time estimate of when they would arrive and Vladimir did a thorough job of finding out what was wrong (a clog in main sewer line under house) and getting it resolved before we had another flood.

I needed my garbage disposal replaced so I searched on yelp for a good plumbing company that was affordable. I got in touch with Batylin plumbing and received a great quote. Vladimir came out and replaced my disposal in under 30minutes. Will definitely use this company again and also for a reference.

I've finally found a great plumber!! We had a major leak in our main plumb line and somehow our water company found out and they cut off our water meter while we were away. It was good that they knew about it or else we would've been surprised with a huge bill (actually the plumber mentioned you can fight this cost if this happens to you). I called Batylin Plumbing and was greeted by a courteous and knowledgeable lady. She understood our emergency and Vladimir was able to come out right away. He explained everything in detail and what would be the least cost effective way. We ended up having to add a new pipe line since our's was a galvanized pipe which can not be repaired. The estimate he gave was the exact price that we paid and he did such as great job! He had to dig a long hole in our yard but in order to make it look clean, he cut squares of grass out first so when the job was done there wouldn't be a long path of just plain brownness. I would definitely use them again in the future when I need a plumber!!!

We were one of hundreds in the Atlanta area to have a burst pipe thanks to the """"polar vortex"""" of January 2014. We tried calling several emergency plumbing services in the area, only to be told we would have to wait 24-48 hours at least before they could repair our pipe. Batylin Plumbing was the only company to put us on their priority list for the same day (and this was already late afternoon) and said they'd call back when they were in the area. Based on how busy all the plumbers had been the past few days, we weren't counting on hearing back until morning. To our surprise, Batylin called back in about an hour and said Vladimir was in our area and on his way to our house! Not only did he fix our pipe in a timely and courteous manner, the price we paid was well below what we were expecting for an hour-long repair. We could not have been more pleased with the service we received and would confidently recommend Batylin Plumbing for anyone in need of a rush job.

**SEE EDIT BELOW** I called Batylin Plumbing, having exhausted the phone numbers of the three """"regular"""" plumbers I have in my phone...none even returned my call, for an emergency plumbing leak...one that necessitated an insurance claim and emergency crew. Vladimir's wife picked up on the 2nd or so ring, with a REMARKABLY empathetic, sympathetic, calm and helpful attitude. She reassured me that not only did she understand what kind of situation I was in, but that she could get Vladimir out to my place within a couple of hours - on a Saturday afternoon. Vladimir called me, after seeing pics I'd sent of the offending area, telling me I could save $$, by simply doing the work myself - and he could tell me how over the phone. Is anyone really this honest any more?! After my assuring him I was fairly certain I couldn't do the work myself, he came out in about an hour. He assessed the problem in short order and gave me my options regarding fixes - short term and long term. He stayed until he was sure the job was done right and let me know what we'd need to do to permanently fix the issue later - and even told me how to save HUGE bucks, when that day comes. You're going to pay a plumber pretty well to come out - even more for an emergency - and more yet for a weekend. Batylin Plumbing treated me fairly, fee-wise. But more importantly, they showed me honesty, great skill and competence in the field and a true caring for my situation. Vladimir is now my go-to plumber guy. *EDIT* Followed up for work to be done in the weeks following the above, only to be given an ultra-high rate (comparable, or higher than big-box plumbers, who pay for radio & tv commercials) and not have calls returned. I bid them goodbye and hired someone else (Kemper Watson - a master plumber with decades of experience) who did the same job, for about 1/4 the price. He's my new go-to plumber and I've already sent him to several friends in need of plumbing services. Batylin Plumbing did me a great service and was very friendly. But after they do your emergency work, expect to pay top dollar for a return visit.

Battling Plumbing saved the day for me! Had a blockage in two toilets and sink...tub had back up sewer as well. Called them in am...they gave me quote over the phone. Mr. BATYLIN came out same day..and took care of everything. An honest fair family owned business. Thank you!!!!!! Reasonable charges too.. Outstanding service!
