Back in mid summer my fiancée and I engaged Basin's services to install a new water heater and dispose of the old one. When they did this they installed a secondary valve closer to the house for better ease of use for future plumbing projects. Fast forward to two weeks into January, and we have no water. Suspecting the pipes might be frozen, I placed a heater near the main valve and checked the heated tape to make sure it was working. After a day of still having no water, I called Basin to have someone come check the pipes and see what's going on. The tech who showed up checked the length of the pipe all the way to the main valve, but didn't go in the direction of the secondary valve. He then said he didn't know what was up, apologized and headed out. Because it was the weekend, we were charged the overtime trip charge. Later the park maintenance guy offered to check the pipes himself because he was helping other houses at the time as well. When he checked the whole length of the pipe, he discovered the freeze was at the secondary valve, which was bare. It turns out that when Basin installed the water heater, they neglected putting any form of insulation around the secondary valve despite knowing the normal weather and temperature conditions of this area. What's more, they made no mention of insulation of any sort, so I remained unaware until this problem.
Because of everything listed above, It feels like I had been ripped off twice because of a problem they unwittingly manufactured. Definitely would not recommend.

I have personally and professionally used and recommend Basin Heating/AC/Electrical/Plumbing on multiple jobs to date and get the same positive experience from the company time in and time out. Not all service jobs are created equal but I can always count on: customer service, quick response, and available techs for any job large or small which is crucial in a rural market. The employees that I have dealt with (Nanci, Terri, Eric, and more) have always been friendly/helpful and make sure my clients service is a priority to their team. They have come to repair other companies work with respect to all. If you are considering an HVAC/electrical/plumbing company in Grant County call Basin!

Can I give negative stars? Basin doesn't care about the little guy AT ALL. I called Basin for rough-in help (new construction) back in 2021. Despite my plea, they were ""too busy"" and made it clear they wouldn't help w my new construction. Two years later I practically BEGGED Basin to help with a mini-split AC installation and again I was shut down by the receptionist (who might be named Cruella I'm not sure ). ""Could I speak with the owner?"" Was my plea but I doubt my problem ever reached his desk. Basin is a very large company and they may have gotten large by doing the small things right and caring for us lonely homeowners but NOT ANY MORE. If you want caring, ""community-driven"" help from people who care - this is NOT Basin's model. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Third time I had them service my furnace in two years. First time they had to replace a circuit board for over $500 which was probably justified but now I wonder if the original was really bad as all three times the furnace was doing the same thing, fan on but no gas ignition. The second time, last December, same problem but tech only had to blow some dirt and rust out of an air line going to fan assembly ($114). Had to call them again last week for same problem and same fix only this time $286. Couldn't give me an answer why the big increase for the same fix that took less than 20 minutes. But just to make me feel better the receptionist reminded me there is also a $15 fuel charge on each service call. They must be making a mint off that.

they cancelled the morning of my appointment because they have emergency work. So since I wouldnt pay emergency wages I got cancelled in sub zero weather. receptionist told me when I called back to let her know I would be leaving a review, that my appointment was only going to be delayed not cancelled. that is a lie, you dont tell a customer that they are cancelled if you are just going to be late. do not trust this business. they will try to extort more money or just cancel your appointment in sub zero temps.

Twice they made appointment to come and fix my baseboard heater and twice they never showed up. I even have they recording on my answering machine for the first appointment. The second time they call me 10 minutes after they should be here to schedule an appointment since their people are on a project, when I told them I had a appointment I was told their is nothing scheduled, just odd they call to make a other appointment, with somebody else. Guess changing out a baseboard heater is beneath them.

Basin AC is an amazing company with very knowledgeable personnel. Every time we have an issue with many of our AC and heat systems they jump right on it and get it taken care of. The best man in the house is Travis, not only is this guy a genius when it comes to everything AC he is a man with a great attitude.
Keep it up Basin!

This is going to be long winded so please be patient.
Lets starts at the begining.
I moved into my house april of 2019 everything was fine and dandy until summer time came and my air conditioner went out. No problem right We called Basin and they had someone out that day. Got us patched up and went on his way. Fast forward one hour and my Air conditiong stops working so i call back and they send the same guy out. Im thinking alright awesome. No he asks me if anyone had messed with the little box thing since he had been there last (which no one had it was just me and my children at home and why would i go mess with something i dont even know how to mess with) I tell hime no and he argues that someone must have cause its not put together properly which made it arc and now the box had to be replaced. I said mmmmm no Ill call the home owner and let him handle this from here because no one has touched anything. My landlord ended up having to drive from Utah to fix it himself! and still got billed for service charges on something they never fixed. Fast forward again to this last week. The heat in my house went out not to big a deal cause its been getting warmer but the mornings are cold and i have small babies in my house. So my landlord calls basin They come out go under the house (where the furnace is) and a few minutes later inform me that they need to send someone smaller as the spot under my house a tight squeeze. Im like ok no problem keep me posted. THEN the office for BASIN calls me to inform me that there is rolled up carpet covered in mold under my house and they cant come back to fix the furnace until that is cleaned up. Im like whaaaaat we will clean that immediately cause like for one why is that down there and for two thats dangerous to us and our childrens health we didnt even know. So i call an abatement company and they send a tech out to take a look. My husband calls me at work to let me know the guys from the ABATEMENT COMPANY didnt find anything under the house..... So i call basin to confirm location of said rolled up moldy carpet and the lady on the phone (not her fault she is just the messenger) calls her tech and he says its near the wall closest to the road. Abatement tech goes back under my house takes an entire video and pictures of every angle of my house NO CARPET AND NO MOLD!!!!! by this point i am seeing red cause now i have been using a space heater to heat my house because why? they didnt want to fix my furnace? now im livid so i call a different electric company, they come out immediately and go under the house and fix my furnace. no complaint no issue. I will NEVER use this company again. what is the point in lying? if anything that technician should have to pay for the abatement team we had to hire. normally i am very understanding mistakes happen i understand that. But this being the second time we have had a issue with them. and not having heat in my house for extra days with my kids in the house does not sit well with me. The other company came right in went under the house and had us fixed up in no time. If basin didnt wanna do the work thats fine but there was no need to lie they could have just told me that.
