Recommended Customer Reviews

This company was recommended as a plumber who responds quickly to requests. Greg Major Is the person who quoted me $169 to fix a leak and get the water heater in my new home working again. He let me know that if a valve was needed it would cost more money. Greg is very brusque on the phone and was downright rude to my adult daughter during his service call. He made inappropriate comments, complained about the work that had been done by the previous owners of the house, and spoke to my daughter in a patronizing tone. When he was finished, he added an extra charge of $194 for soldering the leak and relighting the pilot light. He did not clean the water out of the pan, and less than 24 hours later the water heater is still not working.
I was very polite in email inquiries to him asking for an itemized bill to explain the price difference, and expressing my concern at his unprofessional comments. He became aggressive and angry, and sent me an extremely rude email telling me never to contact him again.

We had the worst service from Gregg! He was rude, lazy, and aggressive. Our hot water heater went out and he came out 3 times, didn't do anything, and then tried forcing us to pay him over $1,300 even though it was all covered under warranty. We went weeks without hot water because of his negligence, and when we called the manufacturer we it fixed within minutes. He is absolutely useless!

Our water heater of 20+ yrs went out. Greg replaced it and brought all up to code. His work was timely, professional, courteous, and clean. Would highly recommend Base One for plumbing repairs. Thank you

I had to give this company a 1 star because there is nothing lower. They came and fixed my leaking faucets in the bathroom although the repairman was not friendly, but 5 months later there were leaking again. I called several times and got the run around and even asked if they could tell me what they did so I could fix it myself but they never furnished even that information to me. Their guarantee is non-existent. I wouldn't recommend them for any project. ZERO Rating!!!

Fidelity called him for a warranty job. I believe Greg is competent but surly and seriously lacking in customer service. I had to call him twice to schedule an appt. Plus after the appt., he did not file a transfer warranty work order as required in 48 hours. Fidelity had to call him so that my warranty job could be completed- 5 days later.

I was provided an appointment window of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Greg called my cell phone, I could not answer due to being on a business call. I returned his call within 10 minutes letting him know I was home. He responded he was now unavailable. He was rude and condescending. When he did arrive after 4 pm, he continued to be rude, walking across my lawn and into the house with his dirty boots on. He was checking my garbage disposal. He threw the metal ring onto my granite countertop. He took the contents of the disposal and threw it into the other sink without asking for the garbage. His behaviors and the phone conversation were witnessed by my adult daughter who was upset by his callous demeanor. I would NEVER recommend this company and would NEVER allow this disrespectful service again. Maybe Greg needs to retire and his behaviors are evidence that he is dissatisfied with his career. Customer service is no where in his repartee, in fact his customer service dwells in the sewer. I paid for his lack luster service

Greg Major and his crew did a shower enclosure demo and remodel for us. He was very helpful about explaining the process and the steps to complete the project and gave very good recommendations for materials and suppliers where we could pick out what we wanted.
The day after we signed the proposal, he was at our house bright and early and got right to work. We LOVE the finished project! Our shower looks awesome! We are hoping to contract him again for our other bathroom in the near future.
He was extremely professional and meeting the expectations of his customer's is his top priority.

Thanks Greg! This guy was practically out at our place before we hung up the phone. Made repair to broken pipe under our house. Took about two hours and charged a fair price. Will use again!

My parents had a pipe break in their house last night about 9:30pm. We called the home insurance company this morning and Base One was the contracted company selected by the insurance company to contact us. Greg called us in about an hour from when we hung up with the insurance company and said he was on the way to our location.
Greg came in and was willing to listen to what we had done so far and asked questions. He was concerned about keeping the house clean while he was here. After he determine what and where the issue was he quickly fixed the problem. He was very professional and was focused on getting the problem solved ASAP.
Turns out that in order to access the broken pipe he had to cut into the wall. He did a great job on cleaning up the mess afterwards. The drywall repair is not part of the insurance package so he left a great rough patch for us to fill and paint.
After the work was complete he was willing to share some things about the plumbing system in this house that could be potential problems in the future. This problem was known by us due to other neighbors having similar issues. He was not telling us this to create additional work for himself but as advice for the future.
Thanks Greg for getting the water back on and running, the showers felt great and it was nice to be able to flush the toilets.
Thanks Greg.

The last interaction Greg, the owner, and I had sums up the entire experience. He replaced a water heater for us through a home insurance claim so we didn't get to choose our service provider. When he and his employee finished the job I asked, ""Could I take a look?"" His surly reply was, ""You can look all you want, it's your water heater - you can look for days. We'll see you in another 18 years to replace this one."" Then left without a handshake, eye contact, or even a good bye.
Instead of frustrated, I'm more confused at how a business owner thinks he could be so sour with people and actually think he's making a difference. I wouldn't call this guy again, sorry. Get a better attitude.
2 stars because they worked fairly quickly.
