I am so upset with this company. I went to my city to check for my permit and they didn't pull one for my furnace (I always like to check for my family's safety). This could be so dangerous and told the guy did something wrong my family could die. I'm so mad and I will never have them come back. Definitely something shady going on with this business. Don't recommend.
Bernadette G.On November 14, I called Bartlett and Steadman Heating Service to come and fix my heating system which was not working. The initial cost would be $75 to diagnose the problem and then cost for parts and labor. The next day November 15 at 4pm, a technician arrived. He inspected my heating system. He was at my home for 1 hour. He made 3 phone calls to other technicians while at my home to get help on diagnosing the issue. I thought he must be a new technician as he didn't know what to do. At 5pm he said he could not diagnose the problem without spending more time to dismantle all the wiring which I would have to pay overtime wages to him. He said he still couldn't guarantee he could fix the issue once done. I refused for him to stay any longer as he was not resolving the issue and was pressing me for more money. He said I had to pay him $399 now for his service. I was astonished and expressed my disappointment with being charged so much for nothing but an hour he spent looking at the system with no repair. I requested to be billed for the service but he said I had to pay him immediately. So I did. It was very threatening and uncomfortable for me as I am a single senior woman. The next day November 16, I called the company and explained to them what had happened and told them I did not want them to process that payment. The representative on the phone was not helpful at all and said she would have the owner call me back. I never received a call from the owner and as of this writing I still have not. I reviewed my Credit card statement and they did charge me $399.
Great technicians--they know what they are doing, even on old or new equipment. However, the billing is a mystery. If you want a breakdown of materials and labor, good luck! Seems like a simple thing to me.
I use to be in love with this company. But they have a guy named Dennis working for them who shows up, tells you that there is something wrong or that they dont have the part, or that they should have sent two men and sent one. Then the guy will talk to you for hours - not do any work - tell you he wont charge you then even though it was this guys procrastination - him talking to you- and then not even getting the job done they try and charge you.

Jason and his installation team are extremely knowledgeable, polite well-spoken, organized and neat.
They answered all questions with clarity and detail.
I was home the 3 days of install due to office renovation and have to say we both were overly pleased having the team in our house. Usually this is not the case with contractors.
This is my first review as I am very demanding and usually do not have anything good to say so I do not say anything at all.

After 50 years it was time for a new boiler. Jason took the time to explain all our options and work with with us on the most cost effective sollution. Jesse, Ollie, Tai and Collin came to do the work - what a pleasure. First they walked us through what they'd be doing and then they got to work. Kept us updated during installation, only without water for a short time. Job completed in the time frame given, left the furnace room/garage way cleaner than they found it and went above and beyond to make process easy. Great Job!!!
Yesterday Chris of Bartlett and Steadman came by my house to install a new kitchen faucet. He called before he arrived and showed up exactly on time. He was neat and organized and worked efficiently, keeping the kitchen neat and clean and leaving it exactly as he found it. He did a great job and I was quite pleased. Highly recommend Barlett and Steadman and Chris in particular. Great service!
Bartlett and Steadman has been my ""go to"" plumbing company from putting in my new high efficiency heating system, appliances requiring plumbers, and all small plumbing related issues. Yesterday I had a leak with an older faucet and Kyle came and fixed it! He was so knowledgeable, proficient and professional. Rose and Jessica in the office are also wonderful and handle all the phone calls and scheduling in a fast manner. Michael Steadman wonderful job with your professional skilled employees. This is a well run company with terrific plumbers and hvac guys working for them. The work is good, efficient, honest, and stress free. Having run into so many yahoos doing home 'repairs' over many years it has been such a pleasure to find these folks. I can't say enough good things about the way they accomplished the repairs to plumbing, heating, and ac at my house. And all the guys have been personable into the bargain. I have no idea whether they charge mor than others or not, but if they do it's worth it, since they do it right the first time.
