The sales, installation, and service people are competent, efficient, and courteous. I'm not as sure about management though. I was promised zero percent financing, for a year. Upon delivery, this became 9%. Our credit is very good, so it shouldn't have happened (we were able to immediately arrange the 0% through another source). My concern is that this seems like bait and switch (offering benefit to attract and then changing the terms later). I called to discuss this concern, but I was not allowed to speak to the owner. The person I spoke to tried to explain how the issue was not their fault, without much sense. That management refuses to call and discuss this, though such call has been promised repeatedly, is suggestive (been 6-weeks).
Drew S.Paul was great in helping us decide on the right size and capacity of our Daikin minisplit system for our new house construction., he really listened to what I wanted rather than try and sell me something I didn't need. I like that :-) And with follow on warranty related issues, Shelby was great at making things work perfectly again. Barron was one of the only good subcontractors our bad GC (JT construction and design) brought to the table, and I credit Barron's ethics and approach to customer satisfaction that they stayed with me when the GC abruptly quit the job. There are many Whatcom contractors that one cannot rely on (like JT construction) but you can definitely rely on Barron...
My heat pump quit working 1st week of feb, 2018. it's now march 16, 2018. 60+ days and counting. it is still not the 100% 9000$ job I paid for. they have been out here 6 times so far, on this problem.
I haven't commented, yet , on the other calls they made during the first yr.

Ian H.Barons is a great company to have install and service your HVAC / hot water systems - All aspects from the initial visit / estimate, through a 2day install with Jacoby, Aaron, and John and the all day duct sealing work by Patrick and Noah. Noah also followed up to come out and clean out our dryer vents the next day We had a followup visit from Jacoby to check things out and adjusted our fireplace and verified that our thermostat settings were balanced. All in all , highly recommend Barrons for new installations and any service needs.
Billie R.Our furnace quit on 12/12/2017, we called Barron, they couldn't come for 3 days. When they finally called to schedule we had to wait for a window of 6 hours. The tech came at hour 5. Couldn't fix it, rigged it until he could get a part. Said part took 3.5 months to ""arrive"" It's winter!!! I had to call twice to see if indeed they did plan on coming back. Scheduled an appointment to replace said part, again waited 6 hours on a Friday only to get a call to reschedule at 6:15.(6 was the cut off time)
Finally get the part in on 3/27/2018.
No customer service, no call to say hey, this part is magical and therefore will take forever, no concern or care what so ever for our time.
Our furnace is less than 4 years old, this part couldn't be that hard to get.
Boo to this company, they dropped the ball way too many times.
Karl J.Poor experience I'm a fair person also myself a contractor. After explaining my working furnace could need repair but not sure instead of suggesting a free estimate they suggested a repairman look at 90 a hour. Guy came over said it was broke and did what he could to justify the charge in five minutes or less and left. Oh but so thankful if I go with a new furnace that money is applied as a credit. Sorry take my 100 dollars and I will take it as learning lesson It's complete crap make your money in better ways Barron
The whole crew at Barron Heating & AC did a great job! They listened and applied our needs and concerns without any problems.. I want to give Patrick, Bill M., and Noah an extra kudos for their awesome customer service and fine craftman's ship!! Thank you all for a job well done..
Lorraine P.Carey came out to perform annual maintenance on our boiler and make recommendations on how to improve the heat distribution in our home from our in floor heating system. He was very friendly, easy to talk to and understand our system and was very knowledgable on these systems. We ended up just adjusting flow rates to better distribute the temperature in our home. When previously, we were told to expect to spend $3,000-$5,000 to add a zone to better control the temperature in our house. He had no intention of trying to get us to spend more money or do unnecessary work. He earned my trust and future business!
I first called Barron to run some gas lines and install gas appliances at my house in Bellingham. I was told that someone would get back to me Over two weeks went by and I didn't receive a return call. I then received a call from the original contact checking that everything was OK. I reported that I hadn't received a call and she said that she would follow up. Over two more weeks went by with no return call. I called again and estimates came out the next day. They left and I didn't receive a quote for over two weeks. I called again and finally received a quote.
