NEVER SUPPORT BARCO BLUMBING on 528 NORTH 63st 90% OF CUSTOMERS ARE BLACK 5/15/2024
Yesterday I needed a few plumbing parts for a plumbing project, I decided to stop by Barrco Plumbing on 63rd st around 4:30 before they closed, I shopped their many times. It was one customer in the store, I asked the counter person can I used the bathroom, and since I turned 68 I find it hard to hold down my urine, had to go at that moment. The person said they didn't have a bathroom and said you can use Duncan Donut down the street. I knew I couldn't make it 1.5 blocks away so I walk outside walk around to the front of the store and noticed a secluded area so I relieved myself. Attached is the pictures, I went back into the store and waited to be waited on. I notice a gentleman coming toward me and asked why I relieved myself in front of his store, very angry. I was looking him in the eyes and he pulls out his dick and peed on my leg. It shocked me so much I left the store went home and cleaned myself off, He was white and I am black, I don't know if it was the owner or an employee. I couldn't have dreamed of such disrespect coming from a person who owns the store or works there. I would like anyone who buy from BARCO to never support them again 1/15/2024 Attached is the pictures of the area I used to release myself, totally private. Everyone in philly should know what is happening in their town.
My little plumbing project turned big. I called and spoke to the counterman who was quite helpful, he wanted a pic of the piece I needed, which I texted, and said come in. They had the parts and some gray haired advise and my repair was a snap.
Thanks guys!
Sincerely, Eric
Being female and not so knowledgeable about plumbing issues, I found them very helpful and each time they had the part I needed and charged me pennies compared to what it would have cost in home depot or lowes.
I highly recommend them to anyone. They are open during this Covid-19 epidemic but are still servicing customers just outside their location. V. Dixon. Philadelphia, Pa.
Greg A.It's the place to go.
Plumbing parts are a PITA ...but Barrco has what you need.
Keep in mind this is a plumbing supply house -not Home depot. ...*If you are a home owner or DIYer*, they may not explain everything and hold your hand through the process because there are working people who are behind you in line. Even if no one is in the store, they have orders to prep and regular customers who have called in an order and that is their bread & butter.
That said: they are knowledgeable and helpful. Don't go first thing in the morning, during lunch, or at the end of the day when a lot of pros are setting up for the day, getting an emergency part, or setting up for the next day's job.
If you are not sure of what you want or need, bring the part in; that really helps.
I'm an electrician, not a plumber ...so i respect the process and I'm grateful for this store.
Well the reviews are true ! They have every older part you can imagine !! I needed a replacement handle for my claw foot tub and they had it !!!
The place to go for older parts that you aren't going to find at the big box stores.
My time in the shop was short and the guy behind the counter got me the exact part I needed. Much appreciated.
Old fashioned attention and service. I came in with an old galvanized toilet insert from a classic (i.e don't make them anymore designer toilet) main line home. They could have totally ripped me off, but instead the son spent 20 minutes taking the small part that was needed from another box, breaking up an existing set to do it. He even put it on for me and only charged me a few bucks for the part and zilch for his time. Every other store said, I had to buy the whole unit for $100. Not these guys. Less sthan $10 later and I was good to go. Love this place!
Tym M.I brought an old faucet valve stem that was damaged and difficult to work with hoping they'd have a replacement. They did not, but the young man behind the counter spent about 30 minutes working on it. He cleaned it up, sanded it down, put a new rubber bushing on the end and new screw and it was good as new! They could have just turned me away but no, they took their time and fixed it while barely charging me a thing. Would highly recommend these guys!!!
Came in with a issue for my range. Older style flange connection for the attachment of a flex hose. No one had even seen one before and the advice from given was ""replace the stove"" save your time and go somewhere more knowledgable.
Tried use credit card to make purchase over the phone and counter guy wanted to charge a phone fee! I think not. I own a business and there no phone fee. If I had lived in area would have made purchase with card. Some people just want to grab your money, like they are the only one that sells plumbing supplies!
