After I tried to get someone from Craigslist to fix my water leaking problem in my garden and I gave up. I then used Google and found Barkley Plumbing. I was not hoping too much but when I called, I got quick response, a work order was placed over the phone.

The company sent in two plumbers with tools and a truck next day. The plumbers were very professional. They have rubber suits to work in the crawl space in the house and replaced the busted pipe and added a new outlet so that I have another outlet for my outdoor plan. When I tried to troubleshoot before, I had damaged the wall outlet. They had the same spare part in the truck and the plumber installed that for me for free.

My problem was solved. The service received from the plumbers were most courteous and professional.

Thankyou Barkley Plumbing for doing such an excellent job!

Dishonest. Read the many negative yelp reviews, BBB rating and see pictures I posted. My rental unit had a broken pipe in the floor of the kitchen. Robert told me on the phone that he may have to do a leak detection service where a camera goes down the pipe to find the leak or break. When he gets there he'll determines if that need to happen and if he doesn't need to do it, he'll take it off the service order. I said ok. When he came out, he looked under the sink, looked in the crawl space and then the water heater. My tenant was complaining the water takes a long time to get hot. Shortly after that I received a call from him and he explained the estimate for nearly $4,700 worth of work. He also blamed my tenant for putting the water heater too high and believes that could have melted the pipes and caused the leak but he won't know for sure until he comes back to open the walls up. Once I reviewed the estimate saw a charge for leak detection service and a very expensive rate to change a hose bib I started to dig into the situation. I spoke to my tenant who confirmed that he did not use a camera to look in any pipes or cut any walls in the crawl space. I called another plumber who came out within an hour opened the wall behind the sink and some kitchen flooring and found the leak. It had nothing to do with the water heater. The honest plumber charged me $1,100 to do the job. While the plumber was fixing things I texted Robert and canceled the job. He then said pay the agreed work and I responded asking if he meant a service call fee. I told him the leak detection work of using a camera or cutting into a wall in the crawl space (or anywhere for that matter) was not done as stated on the invoice. He then became very rude. Read the conversation and invoice in the photos.

We had two guys come out to look at a leaky gas-fired water heater. They said we would need to install a 225v plug for an electric tank and couldn't do another gas heater.

They then left without checking for a shutoff valve! Lucky I got a second and third opinion, because the second opinion found and turned the shutoff valve so the leaking would stop! Both second and third opinions said that we could easily install another gas-heated tank or tankless.

Neither the second or third opinions charged to come out for a diagnostic. Barkley charged 70$. I asked for a refund based on their failure to do something as basic as check a shutoff valve. Brenda at the office said she would refund the 70$ which is why this is two stars instead of one.

Haven't used you but I sure don't appreciate your disrespect and disruption of our building when your botched job was reported. As I understand it, your crew made a mistake, you denied it, you came on site, saw that you did botch it and were then so rude and disrespectful that you were asked to leave. What I witnessed was you standing outside our main entrance being loudly petulant and defensive of your own mistake with our maintenance man. Try owning your errors and professional courtesy rather than being obnoxious, no wonder you were asked to leave and provide a refund by the client you botched up rather than repairing your novice level mistakes.

Robert Yancy from Barkley plumbing was incredibly unprofessional and unpleasant to work with. He couldn't give me educated answers (let alone an answer) to simple plumbing questions such as ""why is copper better than PEX?"" Or ""why is it not typical to route plumbing this way?"" When our plumbing could not be routed the way we originally hoped for, I called my husband to update him on the new plan. While on the phone in another room, Robert began to yell ""ma'am! Ma'am! Are we doing this or not? You know I can hear every word you're saying"". I had already given permission to proceed with the new plan, even though it was poorly explained to me, I was just updating my husband of said new plan. His aggressive and erratic behavior made me very mistrustful of his work. And for good reason, his work was sloppy, poorly measured, and hastily done. Pipes were resting at odd angles due to the poor measuring and extra fittings were added in places where the pipe was cut too short. Wood dust and other debris was left all over the floor, and no buckets were used for water catchment leaving our floor and walls wet, which we had to dry with fans. When removing a section of drywall, he almost broke an outlet and I had to remove it for him. He also left our crawl space open and unattended after he left. Overall, we paid $1600 to have him repipe about 30ft of pipe and my husband ended up redoing all of his work anyways. Would rate zero starts if I could.

He was good about diagnosing a leak and finding the source, but when it came to reinstalling the toilets it was a problem. They leaked again and he blamed the floor, not his faulty installation seal. Wouldn't fix it so we had to do it again. Go with someone else.

These guys are rip offs. We called about a backed up toilet, tub and sink. Showed up promptly but with no snake had to go back to shop for snake. Came back with snake, shoved it down the clean out pipe, cleared problem in a few minutes but charged $450.

Kiera was awesome in her responsiveness and advice. James was professional and much more thorough than several other plumbers highly rated on Yelp in the area. He found extra hookups the others missed and had a much more elegant solution. I can recommend these people without reservation.

Needed to replace the house main shutoff valve as the old one leaked by. Called Friday afternoon and left a message. Monday morning they called back and planned to arrive that morning. Called back due to some delays in other work and showed up early afternoon. We agreed on a quote that was reasonable and to work they went. Had to get some non-standard parts due to the pipe size that necessitated an extra trip for parts they didn't have. Work completed well and professionally and at the quoted price.
Thanks for the quality work.

They show up when no one else will! That is the most important thing when you need a plumber. But then they do an awesome job despite not so awesome conditions like Ice, snow and standing water. Robert was professional and fast to get to the problem so we would have water again. When you find someone you trust you never have to worry about who you will call. Speaking of Calling.... Becky in the office is a joy to deal with and so helpful. Recommend Barkley Plumbing 100%
