Outrageously expensive!!!!! Sealing some leaks and moving the stand a few inches over. Both did not involve complex parts nor complex repairs, and took about 20 minutes or less. The charge was 592.00. We lost our trust in Barkers' Heating & Cooling.

Never used this company for any kind of AC or heating job. I spent $13000 for the whole AC system and never able to get a inspections service.

I am extremely pleased with the service I got from Barker's Heating & Cooling. From the service call on Friday night to the install of a new system on Tuesday, everyone was very nice. Mike's team (Mike, Preston and Rey) were very prompt and professional. They took the time to explain the new system and the thermostat! I would highly recommend them.

We were looking to get a new AC unit and Matt came out to give us a quote.
He was there 15min from the time that we called the office.
Not only did he give us a quote but gave a in-depth education on AC systems. He was well educated and very personable.
This company is a little higher than average, but the quality and service is what makes up for the price.

Update: after my first review the General manger contacted us and spoke with my husband on the phone to address our concerns. We are getting a rebate for the work done in March. However, I still will not be using them in the future because of how uncomfortable I was with the lack of professionalism from Dalton. I understand tools are expensive but if they are that expensive why bring them to a job where all you are doing is looking and not working? How do you not notice for 3 days that you don't have your tools? Human error happens but don't get hostile at your customer who could play hard ball and refuse to let you look but we didn't we were nice and as accommodating as we could be, while you insist on knowing the company we chose to go with so you can accuse them as well. If you make a mistake own it and move on. Don't tell me " you never leave your tools" while we are actively looking for your missing tools and don't text me hours later telling me you've filed a police report and nothing more. It's been since the first week of August and PD has yet to contact me. Overall, I'm sorry it took getting horrible reviews before we actually could talk to someone other than through email. I'm still waiting to talk with PD and am doubting I ever will. Next time someone offers me free stuff I'll think about all this and kindly walk away. It's not worth it!

This company is AMAZING. They have come out on emergency weekend calls and regular service calls for me. They are honest and efficient. I trust them and they have my business!

I had a very poor experience with Barker's. Our air-conditioning unit was not cooling properly (it would maintain at 80, but not go cooler), so I called Barker's and they were quick to come out. For the quote and diagnostics it was $300+. They technician told me that the air conditioning unit had a leak in the evaporator coil and it would cost $4100 to replace the coil. He then told me that we could not use our air conditioning until the coil is replace because it might overheat and destroy the outside unit. He did say that they hopefully could rush the part and be out here in a few days. I said "ok" and then did some research online and felt like the price was a bit high, so I called another company for them to come out and give a quote. They quoted me HALF THE COST of Barker's, and even threw in leveling my outside until for free (Barker's was going to charge me $175 to level the unit). I called Barker's because I was confused as to why their price was so high, and was told that it was their flat rate for a coil change and that "yes, our prices are quite a lot higher. It is because of our guarantee." That did not add up, because the other place I chose to go with has a wonderful warranty, for HALF THE PRICE!
So in short, I do not recommend Barker's. I felt like the technician was trying to take advantage of me and my ignorance of air conditioning units. ALSO, the place I went with did a temporary fix so we could use our air conditioning unit (which I am thankful for since it is July in Texas) until they were able to come out and replace the evaporator coil.

We needed refrigerant added to our older system.Barkers came out and said they added 3 lbs of refrigerant but in a day and a half the AC was not cooling anymore. We called someone we trust who was not available at the time and he added 2 lbs and so far it has lasted us a week. So I am thinking Barkers' tech said he put that much in but either lied or did it wrong. Companies are just so untrustworthy.

Phillip did a good job following up with me on an issue I was having and honored their part of the service agreement. This company is well known in town for servicing a large number of units, and I think they do a very good job at making sure customers are treated properly. They are very thorough and I would recommend you give them a try if you're looking for A/C service! Thanks Barker's and Phillip!

We asked Barker's to come and check out an AC unit that was not working properly. The technician came and stated that the system is using NU22 refrigerant and they do not work on systems that use NU22. We still do have a diagnostic but Barker's charged us $85 for informing us that they do not work with NU22. We called and politely asked for a refund since they did not provide a diagnostic and that was NO work done. They declined. We feel they should not charge us considering they stated they are not able to diagnose the system.
