We've replaced 2 heating and cooling system on 2 different houses and we won't use anyone but Barkers. Yes, they may be a bit pricier than the others but, they show when they say they will, have all the parts needed to do the job, and give real advice.

For example, on our first house, they came out to look at our heater and let us know that, yes, it would need to be replaced, but that we should be OK to keep running it until spring when we could afford to replace it and it would be more comfortable to have no heating or cooling.

Compared to our previous HVAC tech who would repeatedly show up late or "whenever" and have to make multiple trips (on the clock, billed) to go get parts they ought to have had. Basic things like a thermostat. And, when they worked on my MIL's house, they couldn't find an easy to read thermostat online to order. I had to go find it (5 minutes work) order it and then have them install it. They were just lazy and didn't want to take the effort.

Barker's guys are pros and do the best work, we've never been disappointed. i Took off 1 star for cost, because they aren't cheap, but their prices are honest and fair and ultimately worth it.

This is not a false review. This is from one of my clients, that Barkers tried to screw over. I listened to the voicemail(s) that were left, by Barkers, trying to scare a elder lady, volatile gas leaking into your home, and wanting to get it done asap... Don't try to screw over my friends Barkers! I'll always be watching. Honesty and integrity Barkers. Homeowners beware.

First off they told us we had a leak in our system, and it would be 1000$ to just pressure the system to check for a leak, and fix it. I declined because the techs seemed like scam artists, not really knowing what they were looking for, and didn't even talk as if they were trained techs... Barkers wanted to charge a 72 year old woman that much money, when her husband just passed away (he was the one that handled all the bills/maint). They completely took advantage of a elderly woman that they had a service contract with for years!!! We didn't fall for the trick, and didn't call them back to leak check it again, since they couldn't find it the first time... I was recommended to call Air Control because they have nothing but 5 star reviews, and were school trained! They came out, the unit was less than a 1/4lb low, which is barely nothing, and the tiny tiny tiny leak was coming out of the access port, simple 75 cents fix... We had a service contract with Barkers for over 5 years, and when Air Control saw our units, and how un-maintained they were, they were even pissed. They took pictures and showed me, years and years of dirt, leaves, spiders and geckos were inside my 2 outside units, never even looked at... DO NOT CALL BARKERS, THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS HERE!!!

I will never use Barker's again. The service tech showed up late. He misdiagnosed the problem with our AC unit! He also said our system had too much freon and would charge 50$ to recover the overage. Total price to "fix" the issues was almost 1,000 dollars. I declined to have them do the work. I wasn't confident in the service techs diagnosis and knew that was a very high price for the fix. I paid 140$ for nothing. They also took HOURS to return my call to even get service. I contacted Morgan Air Conditioning. Mr Morgan was at the house and fixed the ac unit in less than an hour AND at a quarter the price Barker's was trying to charge!!! the best part of the whole experience... Mr Morgan had to ADD freon. I told him that Barker's just charged me less than 24 hours ago because it had too much. Get it together Barker's. Soooo disappointed. Call Morgans.

I love this dealer and how they are able to work with their customer. however, I had to dock a star for the install as I think it could better otherwise good

Have used twice now and would highly recommend staying away from this extremely over priced company. If you want to pay twice as much as you should go with them

I called at 7 AM when they opened and had to wait for a tech to call. Although I waited until 830 and hadn't heard, I called again and got a nice guy named David. He originally told me that it would be 6-8pm until someone could call (busy time of year). When I explained it was already 82* in my house and I have a toddler, they immediately emphasized and squeezed me in. I was told 9-11 and someone was here at 9:15 (things never work like that for me). Bill arrived and was incredibly polite and prompt. Explained things thoroughly, interacted nicely and took care of what we needed for a decent price. Although I didn't like waiting 1.5 hours and not hearing anything at first, I still give 5 stars for the kindness and consideration I was shown to take care of my young daughter.

Came out earlier in August this year and look over units. 1st time we needed to turn on our heater it doesn't work. Call them and they are "too busy" to warranty their own darn work.

I called out a Barkers heating and cooling because my normal AC was too busy. Thursday has to wait 5 hours for the tech to come in walk around and tell me my ac was not working and because it was raining he could not do anything and was not sure what time he would be back to fix it. I called the help line and talked to the call service who had another tech call me and promised a guy would be out to fix it by 9 am. 9 am another person calls and says no one will be there until 10-11 and I called and complained again. Guy come out with my roommate here and he walks around and claims it will be $1000 to fix it. Never gonna happen called my old ac guy Chris he comes in takes everything apart checks it out says it just needs a good cleaning and the drain is clogged it. He took care of everything for $260. It seems all they mark up the prices so you will buy their service plan. I understand things happen but, I should have been told ahead of time and not had to call 3 times to still get poor service.

Came out and told me I needed new everything. Quoted me about $10,000. I had Morgan air conditioning come out the next week and explained to them what barkers had told me and they laughed. They then put refrigerant in and replaced the coil and I had perfect working air conditioning. I would definitely call Morgan (979-696-2297 for those interested) before Barker's.
