I recently purchased an under-the-sink water filter and started the installation. After completing a portion of the installation I realized that I had reached the limit of my knowledge and capability to complete the job with confidence. At this point I decided to bring in a professional plumber to complete the job. Barcena Plumbing in Simi Valley had installed a new water heater for me 3 or 4 years ago and I was happy with the job and always try to support locally owed and operated businesses, so I called them. When I called a very pleasant lady gave me an appointment for the next day. About an hour later she called and told me that they had a spot open that afternoon if that would work for me. She gave me about a 2 hour window and said that she would call about 25-30 minutes before the technician arrived. Sure enough I got the call and about 20 minutes latter Ken showed up. After assessing the problem he set to work and did his job and took exceptional care to double check everything. The next day Ken checked in to make sure that everything was ok. I owned a service oriented business in Simi Valley for more than 20 years and I hope that my customers were as happy with our processional, ethical, and cheerful service as that of Barcena.

Sat night: water spigot in back broke off, causing water to start flooding the backyard, so I shut off the main valve and called Barcena. Spoke with friendly dispatch and they'd have someone contact me. Guy called 30 min later, and he asked for a pic of the broken spigot to verify he had correct parts. Gave me an estimate for the fix including weekend surcharge.

Sun morning: before arriving, plumber confirmed time, arrived and finished the job by 10 AM.

Definitely keeping Barcena's number for future plumbing issues!

I had a clog in my kitchen sink that my 15 foot long snake could not reach. So I called Barcena Plumbing and they sent over a plumber within a few hours. He was able to dislodge the clog with his 75 foot snake. The job was well done and took a little over an hour. My only problem is the cost charged, $224. I think that is excessive and will use a rooter company in the future for clogs and use Barcena for more traditional plumbing issues. Lesson learned.
