Terry S. did an excellent job installing a garbage disposal on short notice, despite his hectic schedule one week before Christmas. I have recommended the Barbosa company to friends for years. They are a first-rate organization and they always put their clients first (this is very refreshing in this current business client). Terry S. and Jackie P. are clearly the best in the HVAC business - hands down!! It is truly my privilege to be a Barbosa customer.

JP and the Barbosa crew were fabulous. From the first phone call they were responsive and easy to work with. JP took the lead and worked with my tenants to make things as easy as possible. I needed a new HVAC installation and removal of an old HVAC unit including all new duct work. The installation team was detailed and went above and beyond to make sure the work was done correctly and incorporated their work into anything existing in the house. It was all done in one day, they showed up on time and finished on time. When it was done the place looked like no one was ever there, the clean up was spotless. Each person that helped install including Jackie, Eric and the rest of the crew were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them. Thanks Barbosa!

David installed a new AC for me two weeks ago. He was so professional, honest, helpful and personable. He worked meticulously with me to make sure that the AC install didn't disrupt the flagstone patio I toiled over last summer. He really went way beyond the call to make sure that my system including my old air ducts were operating optimally. He made sure I was completely happy with all aspects of the job.

Jackie saved the day for me one Sunday last August when my former AC unit froze up. His rapid response never let the air temp in my house climb above 80. He is also very personable and helpful.

Buying a new AC is a big expense. Even so, I feel that I'm the one who came out ahead!
I like to always know who to call in case things go wrong with my house. I am happy to know that I can rely on the Barbosa team.

Tommy & Jackie were top notch. They were very thorough and beyond helpful. They took the time to properly assess my home and concerns. They completely understood how nerve racking it can be having a plumbing (& foundation!) issue can be.

Put it this way, Jackie assessed my home accurately, advised me to check in with my warranty/home owners insurance. Two different plumbing companies later, I called back Barbosa and got a great team. Very fairly priced, too.

I'd used Barbosa for a couple small issues in the past, so when we mysteriously had water start coming up through the floor in our house they were the first people I thought to call. I was out of town, so my wife was the one home that actually dealt with them on her own. They took a look around and ran some tests and came to the conclusion that a sewer pipe under the house was leaking, said there was no chance that it would pass a pressure test (which they did not run), and quoted us $40,000 to replace all of the piping under the house via tunneling under there. Well, of course I'm going to get a second (and third, and fourth) opinion on something so major, and every other plumber I talked to literally laughed out loud when I told them what they proposed we do and the price for it. Other plumbers said that even if we did have to replace everything under the house, that $40k was outrageously high for it, and it should be more in the range of $20-25k for a house our size. Turns out there was no leak at all, and that the pipes passed the pressure test with flying colors. There was standing water in a void under the foundation and a leak from the master shower, not a leaking pipe under the house. There's absolutely no way I'd consider doing business with these guys again; they were dead wrong on the diagnosis and tried to charge almost double what it should have cost in the event that they were correct.

Edit: After posting this review, the owner reached out to me via Yelp to discuss. After talking some, he agreed that they dropped the ball on this project and apologized very sincerely. As I mentioned in my initial review I'd used them for a couple small things in the past and had great experiences, and even though this project went south everyone we dealt with was very polite and professional. The work just wasn't up to par on this particular project.

Came to my house for a slab leak. Told me correctly that the line from waterheater upstairs was running down to kitchen downstairs and the leak was probably in that line. What does it take to narrow down the problem? We have to tear into the wall in garage and see whether it is the line that is broken or the leak is in the slab...how much $800 just to remove a couple of shelves in garage and tear the sheet rock. How much to fix the leak if it is under the slab? about $7000. I told the guy to leave and I will get other estimates.
First, I should have never torn into the wall, proper diagnosis was to get a leak detector and find the leak. Second, I have estimates for less than half that price.

The owner called me and said that this is a one off situation and he is going to talk with the technician. I believe the owner is on the right track.

I was looking to replace and relocate a 15 year old HVAC system. I had 4 vendors provide quotes. Barbosa (Luke) was the only company that spent extended time at my home, measuring to ensure that they right HVAC system was quoted and that it could be moved into my attic (over 1.5 hours). Clearly, I selected Barbosa and I am SO glad I did!

Sadly today a consumer is sometimes surprised when they receive service that is beyond what they had hoped. Barbosa is one of those rare companies these days that FAR surpasses making sure their customers and installations are done extremely well. The entire install team led by Luke was amazing.

If you are looking for an outstanding HVAC company, you won't go wrong with Barbosa and team. Bravo, bravo!!!

My gas line to my house failed a pressure test by the gas company and they shut my service off and pulled my meter on a Friday afternoon. Barbosa Plumbing came over to look at the problem and gave me an estimate of $12,000 to fix the problem with no guarantee it might not cost more. Refused to provide an hourly price. They thought they had me trapped going into a weekend but I declined the deal, did my own trenching and got another plumber to hook up and test the service. They billed me hourly and did a great job, only $1400. Barbosa is the typical predatory opportunistic plumbing outfit, don't use them. I love how they won't provide work on an hourly basis but only want to give you a "quote" with a bunch of conditions attached that basically says they will charge you more if everything does not go perfectly. They basically lock in a huge price gouge with no downside for them.

Dakota came out to do our yearly maintenance today and was very professional and friendly. He and his crew arrived on time and finished the job in a timely manner which I appreciated. We are always satisfied with the staff at Barbosa and recommend them for all your plumbing and air conditioning needs.
