Robert K.I reviewed Bar None Plumbing and gave it a poor review about 2 months ago. I have since been in contact with the owner, and they have totally corrected the issues I had with my sink and have renewed my faith in them for getting the job done. Thanks for the follow up and finishing the job. I'd reccomend Bar None, and will use them again for my plumbing needs!!
Had an issue with my hot water heater. We're new to the area and called another plumber who said it would be $1,000 to fix and wasn't sure they could even fix it. Said we might need a new one which could be far more than that. We called Bar None for a second opinion and so glad we did! They came out quickly and noticed the noticed it the fix was minor. They repaired it for $180 and had it working within an hour. Very knowleagble, nice and clearly honest! We'll be using Bar None for all our services.
T H.Great service and a fair price. We have used them twice. All employees have been on time, knowledgeable and do a great job. Clean up was so good it was like they were never there. I do recommend and would call them again.
We had a leaky tub faucet and instead of doing it ourselves my husband called Bar None, formally Luna Plumbing (whom we loved). My husband was asked the make of our faucet prior to service. The appointment was made for Friday, October 7th at 2 in the afternoon. Thursday morning a plumber shows up with paperwork for our address but the wrong job, wrong name and obviously the wrong day. Friday at 2 the plumber shows up. I show him the faucet and leave him be. He comes out and in a few times and no progress done yet, after which I ask what is going on. He states that the screw is stripped and he can not get it off. He then asks if we have in Allen or Hex tools he can borrow. I gave him our tools but to no avail. He said he would have to break it off which meant getting a new handle of which he would have to go to Home Depot and purchase it. He stated that we would be without a handle until he was able to put one on. Long story short, we opted to buy the handle rather than pay him time to travel to HD and purchase one then do the work. We were already into him for 89.00. My husband made another appt for Oct 17 to finish the job. In the interim, I fix the faucet myself. I called and left word with John the owner of Bar None as to what transpired and that we no longer needed the services of the plumber. He states that he would give our money back since no actual work was done. NOTE: I never made mention to receiving our check back, John did. He calls me back and states that he spoke with his plumber and his story varies from mine and states that he did try to work on the faucet and offered to go to HD to get a handle and that we were the ones to postpone the work, So he felt it was not necessary to send back our check. I explained that I never asked for my check back, I was merely calling to let him know what happened and that we no longer needed the plumber. He then explains to me that his plumber has an extensive set of Allen Hex wrenches and borrowing mine was just another option since not all plumbers have room to carry every tool. I noticed that the conversation was going sideways so I stated, ""John, I just wanted to let you know what happened, I am not going to use this as a reason not to call again,"" when John interrupts me and accuses me of being the customer who called and complained about another plumber, he even gave me details of my supposed garage. When I told him he had mistaken, and that my garage was not cluttered, nor do I have an HW heater in my garage, he stopped. My point is, a plumber arrives on a wrong day with the wrong job. The following day the plumber with the right job comes with no handles on the truck, borrows tools, and cannot seem to get a stripped or stuck screw out of the handle. I call to call off the plumber as I had fixed the handle myself which I got John the owner, and I get accused of lying (my plumber tells me a different story than yours) and accused of being another customer. Not the way to do business. I will never use BAR NONE again. My husband was out on a job the other day and was just asked who he would recommend as a plumber. He told her his story, and well word of mouth is everything. If I could give them no stars, I would. Too bad too because I have used them before on an outside spigot and totally loved the plumber they sent out.
I called about my garbage disposal not working, and the plumber came out. I went outside to check my mail when I saw him out front and told him to head inside while I got the mail. After getting the mail (elapsed time: 90 seconds) I enter my apartment to hear the garbage disposal running. He had pulled out debris inside the disposal and unjammed it, using his hands, in around 90 seconds. We laughed about it and talked for no more than 2 minutes, at which point he left my unit (elapsed time: under 5 minutes). I then received a bill of $127.50, hence the one star review. Assuming he was in my apartment for 5 minutes (again, it was under 5 minutes, but just for the sake of easy math), that is a rate of $1530/hour. I could have hired a cheaper LAWYER to fix my sink. After discussing with my landlord, this plumber charges $85 just to show up in the first place. Assuming I'm fine with said charge (I am absolutely not), that means he billed me $42.50 for reaching his hand into my sink and extracting the piece of debris. He must have some very special hands. Anyways, this business is a complete scam and I would highly recommend against using them. Take your money somewhere else, unless you have an insane amount of cash to burn. As a college student, however, I cannot afford that luxury. To each their own.
