They (in this case, Greg Morrison) told me that both of my toilets needed to be replaced rather than fixed, a reasonable assessment, since the toilets were old. He told me that the floor needed to be repaired first for one, and they would give me the name of a carpenter. I bought two toilets, they sent someone who installed one, and, since they never called me with the name of a carpenter, I found my own and he fixed the floor and installed the toilet.
Two years later, I had a leak from the pipes to my bathtub. The plumber who came tore out the plumbing enclosure, said nothing could be fixed, capped the lines, and told me I needed a contractor. When we were investigating this leak, I discovered that the toilet that they had installed downstairs was leaking from the base. The plumber claimed that it was not their fault--that it was the floor, although presumably this floor was fine when they had installed it. Greg Morrison came back to look at it, said I needed a carpenter and that he would call me very soon and come back with this carpenter. That was about three months ago.
I had wesson oil out of Waterbury for years.When ever I needed oil delivery I would call and leave a check on the door, (no problem) Then they merged into Bantam Wesson and everytime I would leave a check on the door ,no problem,but when we had that really cold spell last year and I try to order oil,they tell me I,m not considered a regular customer becouse I,m not on automatic fill.If I,m paying rite away you would think I,m a regular costomer,right? NOW I,m redoing a bathroom in my house and ever since I bought my house 16 years ago I always used scovile plumbing out of Torrington.So I call and Tom Scovile sets up the apointment and tells me dont be surprized but when they show up for estimate it will probibly be in a bantamwesson truck becouse we merged.I said OH thats ok thats whare I get my oil from,and he says then your one step ahead of the game,ha ha. This guy Greg Morison shows up I show him what I need done,he says he will email me an estimate over the weekend.The weekend comes and goes and nothing,Now meanwhile I,m in the middle of gutting out my bathroom,and I need plumbing to be done next and he knows this, TWO MORE DAYS GO BY STILL NOTHING. I call his cell listen I need you to get back to me. Still nothing.How UN profesional just to leave me hanging like that.I had to call another plumber ,JKust becouse he did not feel like telling me AT LEAST LET ME KNOW. VERY DISAPOINTED.
Things constantly get messed up whenever they come and they or someone else always have to come to fix it. Won't be using them ever again.
Bill S.We had a plumbing system at our home that had seriously backed up, closed by decades of grease, dirt and who-knows-what-else, and making our kitchen sink unusable. So we called BW Home Services for a plumber, and we got Kevin. And while we applaud BW for their help, we really want to acknowledge what Kevin did for us. He spent portions of three days working on this system, finally utilizing some brand new equipment that hadn't been previously tested. It stymied him for a bit (BW probably should have done better equipment training), but when he figured it out he did our job efficiently, thoroughly and very professionally. We are happy and have clean pipes. Thank you Kevin. And by the way, the woman who helped us in the BW office, Katharine, was also awfully courteous and knows her job well. Companies like BW no doubt find it easy to collect complaints, so we thought it right to let everyone that here's an instance where it worked fort all of us.
Steve L.Quoted $1,000 to run 10 feet of propane pipe to my generator (and I am digging the trench for them!).
On the plus side, they have only let me run out of heating propane twice over the last couple of winters, so that's something I guess. They destroyed my Buderus boiler a few years back with improper settings (wrong orifice and pressure set wrong). The boiler sooted up so badly it couldn't be repaired. I guess $100 per foot for a simple copper tube was the last straw.

Love BantamWesson for all my HVAC needs. Haven't needed their plumbing services, but I'm sure these are just as good.
Had them come out for an energy audit last year and they were spectacular! They replaced my light bulbs with LED bulbs and have saved me money on my electric bill! They also provided me with many coupons and rebates for future replacements.
A month ago I schedule an appointment to have my furnace serviced. Of course, you have a four hour window & you take off from work. Right now, I'm at a boiling point in which I called them about my service call. They told me they had to cancel my service call because they had so many emergencies. Emergencies come first. They said they tried to call me, but I never received a call & I needed to make another appointment. I guess what they are saying. If you have an emergency, they can come. But, if you have a schedule appointment you made a month before. They can't come. So, if I go ahead & make another appointment. Why couldn't this happen again. Why even bother to do business with them. When I told the manager I wouldn't be rescheduling, they did apology. But, she didn't seem to care about it & it was up to me to make new arrangements. On their website a customer said the following. ""Because of the customer service. They are organized,prompt,responsive,helpful,friendly & caring.""I'm not saying not to go to them. I guess at times they do give you good service. But,sadly for me. They didn't give me the helpful, friendly & caring service.
This company used to be reliable, but it was taken over and now it is horrible. They let our tank go dry twice and their service was incompetent. The answering service could not communicate with the driver so we had no idea when or if they were coming to fill the tank. No apology call and when I cancelled the contract they would not give me a rebate.
Similar experience to others. In March we came up to our house (it's a second home) and found that both oil tanks were empty and we had no heat. We were always auto-fill customers and this had never happened before. We got the runaround for hours and hours that night, finally got a delivery. To make matters even worse, when we went online to see when the last oil delivery had been, it said that they had delivered oil the DAY BEFORE! Which was of course impossible. And they are still chasing us to pay the bogus bill! We canceled our account and have notified the company that we will not pay fraudulent bills.
