Had Ballard come out to our home a few times.
We had them out for our A/C and a front line leak as well on separate occasions.
Now the ladies/girls who answer their phone line aren't friendly and have major attitude.
They act like you are bothering them.
So that was not fun to say the least, but we still decided to have them out.
We saw a lot of their reviews were good.

Most of the workers who came out for the jobs on our home were friendly, respectful, and on time.
We had never had any problems with their work, but on this one occasion one of their employees came through our home with equipment and damaged our wall when he was leaving.
He didn't say anything I came home after work to find a big A$$ hole in my wall.
I asked my husband what happened he said he told the guy to let himself out & my husband didn't see it until hours later.
I was soooooo pissed off that someone would do damage and not let us know.
How disrespectful and so unprofessional!!!
I wouldn't have even been mad if he would have just said oh sh!t I accidentally hit your wall.
It was an easy fix a little drywall and new paint.
It would have been a no harm no foul, but to not say anything was just so sh!tty!!!
I will NEVER hire them ever again because of that incompetent jerks actions!

The rest of the workers who came out are awesome and they deserve 5 stars, but unfortunately one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch!

After researching several different brands of A/C units online and getting several estimates, along with speaking to Dennis about replacing our two 16 y/o York units (one was leaking and causing damage to our ceiling), we went with Dennis/Ballard and set an install date of 9/10/21. We chose to go with (2) complete Carrier 3-ton 16 seer units. Their pricing seemed reasonable when compared to others, and their Google reviews speak for themselves. I'd like to tell you everything went as expected with the install, however I can't.
Their crew of 5 showed up as scheduled and took the time to cover flooring and personal property to protect it. (appreciated) The removal of the old units and install of the new Carrier units seemed to go seamlessly, only taking around 6 hours from start to finish. Before leaving they cleaned up any mess they made, which was also appreciated. By the time they left our house it was cool both upstairs and now downstairs as well.
I'm a do-it-yourself guy, who had done a lot of different types of construction work when I was younger. So, I know more than most. I decided after they left, to go up into the attic and check out the new units. I had been up there a lot over the past week drying out the insulation and making sure there wasn't any additional leaking from the running unit. I noticed right away that the top of the NEW evaporative coil box they had just installed was crushed! Obviously, I wasn't happy, I had just spent about $20,000 and they installed this? I had done online research on this unit, so I knew based on pictures there was some void area near where it was crushed, and it might not have damaged to the coil. However, they obviously made no attempt to pull the dent out, and it was on the edge where it connected to the air handler unit. There was NO way for there to be a proper seal of the two connected units regardless of how much tape they used. Why would a respectable company knowingly complete the install of a damaged product, without consulting their supervisor or me? Had I not traveled back up into the attic to check out my new A/C, the damaged unit would still be up there. Would this damage VOID the manufacturer's warranty? Likely! What would have happened if 4 years down the road, I had to call Ballard because the unit stopped cooling. Would they have taken responsibility for that damage? I checked out the rest of the attic install, and everything else looked as it should from what I could tell. So, I went outside to check out the compressor units, and there I found that they had failed to strap down both newly replaced units properly. Obviously, not as critical as the coil, however, I was informed prior to installation, they would be. So, this just added to the frustration.
I called Dennis right away and told him about my concerns with the quality of the work done at my home. Ultimately, insisting that the coil box be replaced, and the condensers secured. To his credit, Dennis said he would do whatever was necessary to make us happy.
Had the coil been what it should have been, I'd have given Ballard 5 stars. But I have to be real, we spent a lot of money and deserved better than this. We have a 2-year parts and labor warranty, and I will update accordingly.

Ballard Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning is one of the best service companies I have ever experienced in my 30 years of stay in this area. I called Ballard at 9.00 AM on Monday and their Technician was at my place within the promised three hours. He was a polite gentleman who took a look and determined that my big 5 inch filter was dirty, and had caused the thermostat to go off. He replaced it with a temporary filter and advised me to contact one of their competitors who were the actual agents for my make of furnace. But he was able to revive my system to have the air-conditioning going while I waited for the right filter. To my surprise, he didn't even charge me for his service call, or the temporary filter. He said, since I have to call another company for a permanent solution, he did not feel ethical to charge me anything. Thank you Ballard, the kindness and the professionalism of your technicians is commendable. Wish all companies were as empathetic and service minded as your organization. Kudos.

I had Ballard install my first heating and air conditioner approx. 16 years ago . It worked great until a year or so ago when a power surge or something messed up a valve in my compressor . I always ask for Art when I have my yearly service check . Art always does a great job and I completely trust him . He got Dennis the owner on the phone who remembered me from the first install and gave me a great deal on a new high efficient AC unit . I called at 8:15 am, & they gave us a timeframe of 12-4pm that day. The 2 technicians arrived about 12:40, & by 1:10 had the problem figured out. They explained our options, & the cost. When we chose to replace our a.c. unit, they called another tech to bring the new one out, while they worked at taking out the old unit. Between the 3 techs, they had it all done by 4pm. Cleaned up, hauled away, polite, fast same-day service on a Friday, with no extra charges. Terrific!

I had a slow leak out at the main water line on my side of the meter so I contacted Ballards to fix it. They came out charged me $425. I thought that was a bit steep but paid because I needed my water turned back on! Fast forward 6mo and the same spot is now a geyser in my front yard! I called Ballards immediately and left a voicemail! Called the Water Company they came out and turned my water off yet again! I continued to call Ballards throughout the day and got no response. I called my handyman to see if he could come look at the pipe so I could get the water back on as I could t go all night without it. He came and advised that the pipe was never glued only primed and that's why it burst. He fixed it for me and got my water back on! And still no word from Ballards!!!! (This was on a Saturday) so the following day the Sunday on call guy calls me and I explained to him that I had to hire it fixed due to the lack of call from them the previous day! He said oh yeah the on call guy called off! So I called the office Monday for a supervisor and got no return call! Tuesday I get a call and I explained to the gentleman that I was not upset about the fact it came apart! I understand the technician is human and we all make mistakes but the fact that they weren't available to fix the error and expected us to go without water or pay someone else is not acceptable! And his response was yeah sorry about that!! No resolution offered at all! No offer to pay the handyman that fixed it or my water bill that I am going to have to pay for all the water that escaped down the street until the water Company came and turned it off ( there was so much water everywhere I was not able to find the shutoff valve myself) no offer to discount future services since I used them for 3 other services in the last year!!! I told him that I would be taking my business elsewhere and he acted like it didn't matter in the slightest! Very poor customer service! Very disappointing experience and I will take my business elsewhere and I will make sure if anyone asks for a plumber I will not recommend Ballards!!!
