Darryl from Ballard Plumbing in San Bernardino has done troubleshooting on several occasions for us. He replaced our contractor low flush toilets, fixed a recurring leak under the kitchen sink that other companies failed to fix the first time. We use Ballard for our HVAC services as well. I've been using Ballard Plumbing Heating and AC services for years. They always did a great and fast services. Customer service is definitely outstanding.
Today Darryl came to replace my toilet.
He explained everything he's going to do and how much it will cost so there's no surprises. He did such an amazing and extensive work as I am so satisfied with my new and beautiful toilet.
I give Ballard and Darryl a 5 star and will definitely use them again when I need them. Thank you for a superior job and great customer service!

So I am a member with Ballard and I was happy with the work they did for my heating and air conditioning system.
I needed work on my plumbing so naturally I called Ballard.
A gentleman came Saturday morning and I told him
The drains in the bathroom sinks were working poorly and the bathtub as well.

I expected the plumber to check the issue and report to me the findings, along with the cost and so forth.

Mind you, I have my toddler and special needs son at home with me as well.
So here I am just waiting on any report from the plumber.
A few hours has passed by and he says he will work on the sinks and bathtub. The price estimate is about $150.

I didnt think much of it because I expected that he was just checking out the issue
And coming up with the solution and then letting me know

Finally I stopped him and asked, what was the update
And he said my total was over $1,000 !!!!!!

I was shocked and I was literally stunned.

Apparently my master bathroom sink had a foreign object stuck in side
And he replaced the pop up and trap ($50 online)

And charged me $735 PLUS $155 for the cleaning of that 1 sink
(I asked why I was not consulted before he performed this repair/replacement because if it was $900 for ONE sink I would NOT have asked him to do that
Since I have TWO sinks and the other one was working

He also charged $155 for each sink (he serviced)
(Then later one said he would not charge for the other 2 sinks)

$196 for the bathtub
And quoted me $500 to replace the bathtub shoe
($30 on Amazon)

I was really stunned at this point
I had my two kids in my home
And I didnt expect to $1,500 charge to check my bathroom sinks and bathtub

I did not receive receipt
And I did not receive any confirmation of what work was done
Of course I texted the number I had on file to communicate with this company
But I would love to receive a phone call from the business office manager or someone who can explain to me what the heck happened

Because I feel like I was scammed
Somebody please explain and help me

The last time they worked on my HVAC, I received an estimate in my email and a receipt immediately

This plumber did not provide any documents or anything
And I really just wanted him to leave my house
And tried not to fight or argue with him
Because I had my kids in the house

Vicente (Ballard) replaced our home's 75-year-old cast iron pipes with copper piping and replaced the house to curb cast iron main water line. Then, they carefully repaired the ~2 dozen holes in the wall, which were made to replace the old with the new. We couldn't even see where the holes were! What a super-friendly, experienced, and professional crew. Thank you, Vicente et al. And all with a fantastic Senior Discount!
