Mr. Eric Ballard (1229 Vincent Ct, Benton Harbor, MI) performed service at my elderly mom's home in late August 2014. His first visit he successfully unclogged an interior sewage drain pipe and charged a standard $250 for his work.
He advised that about a 3 foot section of drain pipe immediately outside the home be replaced due to off-center positioning and tree root damage. He stated that job would take about four hours and cost $850. In reality, his second visit, the job took about 1.5 hours and the cost was truly inflated (i.e., a reputable company called Town and Country Plumbing in Benton Harbor, MI made a high estimate cost of $700 for
the work). Unfortunately, we stayed with Mr. Ballard due to our positive experience with his initial work. That was a mistake. Beware! You may get price gouged by
Mr. Ballard if you invite him to do work at your home.

Ballard's has very prompt service. Explained my problem and they made sure they got to me first thing in the morning. They arrived exactly at the time they said they would.

One unnamed plumbing company told me that I was going to have excavate my sewer due to roots or broken pipe. Ballard's came in and cleared the roots, saving me thousands of dollars. Before thinking about excavating be sure to call Ballards.
