This company was working on a project in a townhouse next to me, and left a backhoe parked at my back door for 8 days where I've been planting grass seed. On the day I was about to contact them, they finally showed up to take it. However, the trash I stared at for over a week in their cupholders is now thrown on the ground. Scumbags! I used to install underground utilities and if we disturbed anything, we put it back the way it was. On what planet do you abandon construction equipment for a week at any residence and toss your trash on the ground when you leave? Come back and get your Arizona iced tea and bottled water. If you came home to your beautiful, well-loved property in the heart of Historic High Springs and saw this, what would you do? No permission asked, Baldwin's Plumbing (Jacksonville) doing High Springs' new water main, just unilaterally decided to use my property in the heart of Historic High HH Springs as their """"Drop Zone,"""" setting up a PortaLet, shipping container, heavy equipment and piping needed for their job. When confronted, they agreed to pay a monthly rental for the """"three month job."""" Fourteen months later (June 2022) they took their PortoLet, their container and all their equipment, but left a mess ... they walked away leaving TONS of asphalt and concrete behind, as well as 20-foot long pipes and miscellaneous debris all over the place ... And they stopped paying. Not a dime. Nada. Now my days are filled with unanswered calls to them - a textbook case of being ghosted - and calls to an attorney for help. I am a 69-year-old woman, living alone on Social Security, and I love my property and the City of High Springs. What I absolutely HATE is Baldwin's Plumbing and their lies, deceit, horrible work ethic, shady practices and the ONLY thing they seem to be very good at ... GHOSTING IRATE CUSTOMERS.
