My oven stopped working, and when I called Baker Appliance I had a great conversation with the man on the other end of the line. He said he would come out the next day, and if he didn't have the part, I could order it and then he'd come back and install. I had to reschedule for a day later, but he never showed up and he never called. I called again, and he said he had to help his son with a job the day before, but would be over after lunch. Again no one showed and no one called.
Heather B.Our oven need to be looked at because the heating element went out. The tech came in and confirmed what we saw. So her said they may have the part or have to order one. But, they will be in touch. I was told that they should have it fixed by Friday, I was told this on Tuesday. So Friday came and I never heard from them. I called to check up. I spoke to the older gentleman. He said they had to order it and it should be in next week. So we waited for the weekend. He came back with the wrong part, and came back 2 days later with the correct part. I do not mind working with them. But, you have to stay on top of it. There is no courtesy all to keep you posted. Our tech was so kind! He was great. He has good customer interaction. I want to say his name was Gentry. He even interacted with the kiddos.
We are so impressed with Baker Appliance repair. From the initial first contact with their personable receptionist to Mr. Baker himself and their employees each contact has been a delight. Our refrigerator began leaking and losing water and cooling ability. Mr Baker himself came out the first time, He advised that he could band aid it but we would be better off replacing it. There was an issue remaining that needed attention. He advised us to just give him a call when the new one arrived and there would be no additional charge. On the follow up contact a delightful young man a came out and changed a hose for the new fridge. True to Baker's word the only charge was for a hose. Each one of these individuals has been an efficient delightful professional. We will definitely use them again. Kudos to Baker's for being so top notch!!
I have used Baker Appliance three times in 6.5 years on my refrigerator, washer and dryer. They went beyond the call of duty when they came when my dryer caught on fire. They needed to order a part and was back in a couple of days. But when that was fixed, they cleaned out the bottom air flow section of my refrigerator (not on the task list, just something that came out in a conversation during their visit). When it comes to appliances, they are on my direct dial!
Same issue as the other recent reviewers- they came out to see our dryer, said they needed to order the parts and would call us back. That was 3+ weeks ago. We have called several times and left messages with the secretary and the voicemail and have never been called back. Finally moving on, but what a waste of time.
I would give it less than one star if I could. I asked Baker appliance if they could fix my refrigerator. I initially called them over three months ago. they said the problem was a part, so they ordered the part. it was on back order so that took a while. I don't blame them for that but they never called me when the part came in I had to call them. then when they finally came out they worked on it but didn't fix it. So it wasn't the part. It's been over two weeks now and I haven't heard a thing from them. I keep calling them and the receptionist said she'll get somebody to call me back but nobody ever calls me back. so I have so I've wasted a lot of time and now I have to call somebody else to come and try to see if they can fix my refrigerator. Sara c.This has been such an exasperating experience. Our dishwasher went out January 20th and I called Baker appliance due to their great reviews and close proximity to our home. Baker Appliance called me back Monday the 22nd to tell me they could come take a look and could be there Tuesday the 23rd. My mother met them at our house and was told by Mr. Baker that he knew what the problem was and he'd give me a call to schedule the repair and order parts. We had not heard anything in 6 days so I called to ask for an update on January 29th. The very helpful and pleasant receptionist took my name and number and address but I never heard back. My husband then called on January 31st to again ask for an update. Nothing. My husband then called again on February 2nd to try to find out the status. The receptionist was taking his information when Mr. Baker got on the phone with him. Mr. Baker informed my husband that he had been under the impression that we did not want the dishwasher repaired. My husband told Mr. Baker he wasn't sure where he had gotten that information but we did, in fact, want the dishwasher repaired. Mr. Baker said he would have to call him back and get the parts ordered. Tomorrow will be a week since that conversation took place and again we have heard nothing back. At this point I'm not sure what to do! We wanted to give a local, family owned company our business but it has been impossible!!!
Dean R.One of the ways I become a life-long customer is when a business treats me like they would wish to be treated. We had a weird malfunction in our refrigerator - specifically in the freezer compartment. I called and the service guy was at our house the next morning. Now, he could have blown smoke up my tailpipe, done several mysterious things and charged me a lot of money to 'repair' the problem. Not so. The Baker tech was quick, competent, and polite. He explained his diagnosis, tested it out (worked!), and then provided some insights on what to expect and how to deal with any future issue. The charge was only for the service call - a reasonable $80. I also want to acknowledge the warm and helpful office manager who took my original call. This is a family business. They've been around for a long time and that alone is a testimony to an honest approach.

I met both the father and son and was very impressed by both. And have recommended them to many people. I have heard from several other people that they where also happy with work done by this business.
