He's helpful, responsive, and doesn't try to obfuscate anything or gouge you. He even recommended a good restoration company to us for taking care of the water damage. Chris is easy to work with. He listened to my needs and concerns, and he provided a preliminary check to ensure that he could do the job once right. I like to start with the guy who's going to finish the job. Big plumbing outfits often send an estimator who will schedule a plumber that may not get the correct story. Chris installed a Wi-Fi connected water monitoring and shut off device (Moen Flo) that I bought from my homeowners insurance at a discount, and they discount my insurance after it's installed. Chris is an efficient plumber who takes pride in his work.

Plumbing/Heating emergencies come with home ownership. One of the smartest things I did last year was put Baikal's number in my phone. I highly recommend doing the same. I put ""Plumbing"" in my phone number entry under the ""name"" field so they are easy to find when things go sideways. I have had to call them 3 more times for 3 separate issues, all of which were resolved promptly, despite how busy they are. This family run business puts hope back into a notoriously dishonest industry. What I appreciated the most in working with this company was their ability to explain in layman terms what exactly was going wrong, and what we could do to fix the issue. Companies like this are a rare find. I will continue to confidently refer them to everyone I meet.

As is typical, we had a water heater failure (with in-home flooding) on the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. Bailkal Services responded within minutes, literally. It's a manufactured home which meant the water heater had to be setup in a temporary location while the place dried out. This involved a lot of additional work. Chris is totally professional and personable and I am more than happy with the final result. Best of all, I've got a reliable plumber for future needs.
