We contacted Badger Bob's to replace our upstairs water heater. They were told exactly what the job was. They provided us with a written price quote. When the service technician showed up, he was unprepared to do the job. He then took a look around our home (which is a nice and expensive home) and wanted to immediately discuss the price quote. When we showed it him, he then needed to go out to his truck and call his dispatcher to get a """"second person to help him with the job"""". When he came back in, all of the sudden he told us that he can't do it today, no one is available to help him, and he could not even reschedule it now. It was obvious that he did not want to do the job and was just walking out. When I went to the garage for him to turn the electric breaker for the water heater back on, he essentially told me that they are going to need to charge me a lot more for the job because """"it's going to take a lot more than we realized"""". In summary, this was a bait and switch job. As soon as they saw my home, they tried to charge me more. When they saw that they couldn't because we had a price quote in writing, they just walked out on the job. This left me with a broken water heater and no one to fix it that day. Very unprofessional!

I would rate Badger Bob the lowest of any professional service company i have ever used (Minus 5 stars)-not for the quality of the work they perform, but for what I consider (as an attorney) to be fraudulent business practices. We have used this service for several years for minor plumbing and repair work as the estimates they provided prior to coming to our residence to perform their services were always accurate and in accordance with what they charged. Recently, however, we moved into a much more expensive residence and upon arriving, the service personal from """"Badger Bob's"""" attempted to triple the price on a simple facet installation from the price they quoted by phone. Where I went to law school, this is called """"bait and switch"""" or just outright attempted fraud. I intend to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Florida Attorney General as well as other state & local consumer protection and business regulatory agencies, so that others are not taken advantage of by what clearly appears to be fraudulent business practices. Always obtain a quote in advance for the performance of any home services and ensure that such a business conforms to what they had originally quoted when they arrive to perform the work (in the absence of extenuating services).

We had two intactions with Badger Bob. Our assessment is that they do ok service work, but they will not hesitant to way over charge you. The first time my fridge drinking water is clogged. The service man from Badger Bob took his time to take apart the Fridge, and after about one hour he told me he needed to come back with parts to fix the problem. But the diagnose costs $160, and estimates for the labor and material to replace the part will be another $240. Basically i needed to spend $160 just for the man to show up to diagnose and still was left a broken fridge. I had a conversation with their service manager who is kind enough to lower the fee to $89 which i paid. I then called another repair company who fixed the problem on the spot with $60 labor plus parts. The second interaction with Badger Bob was through my tenant, who called Badger Bob to repair a leaky toilet at our rental home. Badger Bob charged him $243.44 for about half an hour of work, and $20 dollar parts for a flapper and a supply line. An honest plumber can do this for $70 max including parts. We do understand to maintain a certain level of service, there is a lot of overhead of management, insurance, and training. Badger Bob seems to be doing an ok job in that regard as a service comapany - their invoice is always clear, they alway know who the customer is whenever i called. If one wants to pay three times of a just price for repairs, Badger Bob is a company to go for a peace of mind. Otherwise, It pays to spend a little effort to shop around and your wallet will thank you!

I've used Bob's services in two different properties since 2013 and have never been disappointed. Bob is an owner/operator with great staff backing him up. For me, he's done repairs on Dacor microwave, washing machine, replacing garbage disposal, GE Monogram fridge, oven, and vent hood (the complicated pop-up kind you should *never* buy... but it was already in our house). Friendly guy, honest estimates, quick service.

Called them to have a toilet installed. After a leak from Hurricane Irma, flooring needed to be pulled up and new flooring laid down. The carpenter took out the toilet but felt uncomfortable with the re-install in case it leaked. I called BB to just reinstall the toilet. Told it was a $143 evaluation fee and the cost for the work would be determined by the serviceman. I could waive the fee by signing up for the 1 yr ac maintenance at $290. At that point , I should have found another plumbing company. The BB plumbing technician arrived, miraculously figured out the toilet needed to be reinstalled. The cost for a pull-out and reinstall for the toilet is $240 I was told. So it would make sense that just the reinstall would be $120. The serviceman agreed and felt bad, but had to check with his supervisor. Supervisor said the system wont override the $240 to $120; its 240 even just to reinstall the toilet- it took about 8 minutes to reinstall the toilet. So they charged me for work that was never performed. I called back the company made them aware to cancel the maintenance agreement since they had proven to me that they were untrustworthy of any further business. The charge still showed up for $240 for the toilet install and $290 for a maintenance which was never done nor did they make any effort to schedule it. Don't be """"badgered"""" into having any work done by this company. I would really question the validity of some of these other positive reviews for this company. When I see a positive review that says """"amazing"""" you can bet that its bs. Service isn't amazing and what is """"awesome sauce""""? Real customers don't describe things like this- way over the top. There are a ton of ac and appliance companies out there- they have to to others more professional than this outfit.

We used BB last year to help fix our fridge that was turning into a pool. The guy that came out was very professional and friendly. 350$ later- new part and fridge seemed to work. 11 months later same problem. When I called BB to inform them of our reoccurring problem with the fridge we were told that a tech would come out to our home and not charge the service charge since it appears to be the same problem as before. We were told that our fridge was problematic and this problem would keep occurring due the the type of (newer) fridge we had and there was nothing that could be done that would fix the problem. Too bad he did not tell us that the first time around before we agreed to order to expensive part for it. 2 weeks later we were mailed a bill for the service call fee (around 85$). When i called the office to remind them I was put through to a lady who is a manager with the billing there (I think her name is Ashley). I was yelled at and interrupted, I thought I called the wrong person. She was so unfriendly and would not let me finish a sentence. This company is so unprofessional and billing happy! Beware! Esp. When it comes to pricing, charges, billings etc. The tech that came out to the home was the nicest thing about the company, he was always there on time and friendly.

badger bob's, do not be fooled by a review list they pay to get on . iyou should know the following. 1. a service charge does not mean work---- only the tech. come's out and tell's you what is wrong. 2. after hours is a special charge more moneyhowever you many not be told this ahead of time. 3. work that takes 5 min may cost you $ 100.00 even if you tell the tech. whats wrong and thay bager bob knows a part has been defective. 3 get and ask ahead of time because if the you do not and the tech. comes in and tells you that will be $220.00 for a 5 min. job. its your fault even if they never explained the charges ahead of time. i know it happened to me. know one told me about extra charges of after 5:00 p.m. and no one infromed me about and extra $ 100.00 to install a capasetor i told the tech. was bad. and had pictures of it. told him i wanted the warenty cap. per warrenty on a $ 5000.00 a/c job in 2014. this part cost $ 25.00 and he explained they have had a bad group of cap. and had to replace them. note i tested it wiht a vom meter before tech came i also tested out a old cap i had to make sure it was the problem.

Badger Bob is one of a kind. You will not get better service, attentiveness and just all around awesome sauce. This guy is extremely professional, and really charismatic. I had the worst duct problem, and he got rid of all of them. Now if I can just handle my badger problem...still 5 out of 5 for sure though. Thanks bob! You're appreciated and God bless!
