When David pulled up in his van, I jokingly said to him, ""I need you to be my savior today!""
Our kitchen drain line goes into old cast iron plumbing and has been notoriously bad over the years. We tried snaking it ourselves but absolutely no luck.
David came in incredibly professionally, taped down paper so nothing would get wet, and then snaked the line with a large industrial machine. Ultimately, not only did he get rid of the clog, but he was also incredibly helpful and personable the whole time. He answered every one of my questions about how this could happen and how to prevent it in the future.
I've already saved his number, I want to make sure I have a good plumber on hand and this is it.
David has come to my rescue several times now, most recently by installing a tankless water heater to replace my ancient, dying 40 gallon tank heater. His quotes are always reasonable and he always makes sure that you understand what the job is going to be and that it gets done well. Can't recommend him and Bad Drains emphatically enough.
I noticed water in our basement this morning and discovered a leak in the pipes connecting our water heater. I called four different companies, three of which weren't available today. After calling Bad Drains, they showed up and fixed the problem in less than two hours after the initial phone call. Both the manager Raeann and the technician David were professional, kind and helpful. The service was very timely and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
Alan T.My building had a leak in the walls due to crumby and ancient galvanized piping. I was only able to start calling plumbers around 2:30pm, so I was pretty concerned no one would be able to come out. The building also only has a single water shut off for all the units... among other problems.
But Bad Drains was able to get someone to help me out in a couple of hours! Definitely a life saver. Plumber was also cool and was happy to help in a pinch. Recommend!
Nicki N.I had requested a quote for installing new faucets into my shower/tub and David replied with a reasonable quote. I text him back and asked if he can come the same day. He was available and came as promised. He did a great job installing everything, he went out of his way to solder an extension into my faucet and made it work. I will definitely be calling David again if I ever have plumbing needs. Thank you David!
David the owner was great...customer service and everything else. He came out to check my water heater and did not charge a service call fee. He came out to try to replace a thermocouple but the brand I had #rheem only have have parts available by special order. Called rheem several times sent 4 parts which were all under warranty to no avail! Process took almost a month! Rheem ended up giving me a brand new water heater but still ended up spending almost as if I paid for it. If rheem had only listen to what David said was wrong rheem and myself would have save a lot of money. If I had a choice, i will not go with rheem but it was free. That was the good part about rheem. Bad drains were excellent!
Damien-Anthony R.I typically do not post reviews but felt compelled to do so here. Plumbing is never a fun situation but working with David and his team made this a pain free experience. I took a day off work and got 3 separate quotes. I went with David/Bad Drains plumbing because his explanation of the process was detailed down to the time needed and cost. The said they would get the work down in under 6 hours; it ended up only being 3. And he was priced well as well. I highly recommend. Of course I hope I don't have to use a plumber again for a while but if I do I will be calling David/Bad Draining for sure. 5 stars
David responded to my call so quickly. He snaked our icky clogged drain on such short notice. He's so nice, friendly and professional.
Look no further for a plumber, use Bad Drains Plumbing and you won't be disappointed!
He takes cash, credit and Venmo
Thank you David!!!
James V.I had a leaking yard faucet, which was sending water into my bedroom. The pipe was rusted through from being under dirt for goodness knows how long, so I was pretty sure it couldn't be threaded in order to cap it. I had a sick feeling that I was going to have to re-pipe the whole house just to kill the stupid thing. David came and squeezed into my tiny, filthy crawl-space (truly the stuff of nightmares) found the pipe and capped it, quickly, at a reasonable price, and on a Sunday. He truly is my hero!
We had a bandana go down our tub drain. Yeah. I know what you are thinking. Who the hell wears bandanas still and how in thee blue hell did it go down your tub drain? I have a 73 year old father who demands on covering his bald with bandanas and this dude managed to get it down the tub drain. Anyway, we snaked our drain and managed to push it further down. I should also mention our house is from 1926 and what maintenance that was ever done on the home were many friends who did my parents favors. Well here we are, it's up to me and my sister to now repair what all the years of ""handy work"" that is falling apart. We were so stressed about this problem and even more so when water
started coming up from the tub train AND our kitchen sink drain.
Soooo I went to yelp. I was terrified because I don't know the first thing about plumbing obviously.
David answered me so quick and he was at my door this morning ready to help. I told him what happened and he went right to work. He came out and told me he wouldn't be able to snake it fully but that he can go under the house and cut the pipe. I thought omg this is going to be so expensive. He quoted me and I was so shocked. It was so affordable and he was so polite and he walked me through everything. Within an hour, he had the problem solved. There it was. The little camo bandana out and our pipe cleared! He even took video of another small leak we had and told me how much that would be to fix. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you so much David!!!!!
