The story of Backflow Technologies began in 1995 when Dan Scott served as the inside sales manager at the Ames Company. After the Ames Company was sold to Watts in 1999, Dan transitioned to Preferred Sales, a representative firm for Watts and Ames backflow products. Through his tenure at both the Ames Company and Preferred Sales, Dan developed extensive expertise in backflow prevention and became a certified tester in 2003 through the California/Nevada chapter of the American Water Works Association.
