A couple winters back I hired this company to install a furnace for my Grandma who is nearly 100 years old. The tech that was sent out there was some kid named Robert or Robbie something rather . After he took my grandmothers card on file he then charged her $150 dispatch fee, $200 diagnosis fee & then quoted her upwards of 25k... Since when do you need to DIAGNOSE a furnace ? This company is HIGHWAY ROBBERY, plain & simple . Robert was deceptive and took advantage of a vulnerable old woman .. lowest of the low!

The tech they sent was rude and condescending to my wife. He did not listen to her concerns and even claimed that her problems with our HVAC weren't true (they are). Suddenly when I was there the condescension was gone. Coincidence? Also, he wore his dirty boots into our house without taking them off or covering them up.

This threw us into something of a panic because the house is 110 years old and when problems arise they are never small. We were very fortunate to have B. L. James nearby -- the response was quick and plumber Michael Smith was extremely polite, diagnosed the problem right away, and fixed it without attempting to push any additional services. We couldn't have asked for a better craftsman or better service.

I was looking to resolve a few different plumbing issues (e.g. low water pressure, sulphur smell coming from water) and received quotes from a few different places. B.L. James & Son were the most fairly priced, responsive, and professional by far. The plumber who was sent by, Jorge, was super knowledgeable and made me feel at ease that the issue was going to be addressed. He was great at explaining the issue/resolution/future maintenance tips and and the services were done day of. All in all, couldn't recommend this company more!
